Review from Mike S.
Lancaster, CA
The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. A few negatives, though...
We reserved a handicapped room with a refrigerator. When we arrived, a room with a refrigerator was not available, but the hotel would move us to another after one night without a fridge. Not cool (no pun), but we could live for one night...
The next day we were moved to a non-handicapped room with a fridge. OK, my scooter can still fit through the doors, and while the bars in the bathroom are a convenience, I can use my cane for leverage to get up. ...BUT, they should have remembered the "handicapped" part of the reservation.
Also, and one of the things we didn't know about, the hotel locks its doors sometime in the evening. You can get in, but you have to use your room keys. We discovered this on the second night. When they had moved our stuff from the old room to the new room. Did we tell you that they had disabled our old keys, because they needed to be rekeyed to the new room? We had to bang on the (glass) doors to gain the night staff's attention. Once we did that, everything was hunky-dory, but still... -

Standard issue Courtyard, nothing fancy. Clean room, friendly staff. The hotel is adjacent to a strip mall. For espresso lovers, Starbucks is just a casual stroll across the parking lot.

This place is pretty old and extremely frustrating because nothing makes sense in the room. First off, the toilet and shower are separate from the sink which grosses me out a lot. Let's be real, that probably means that the door handles are germy because people haven't washed their hands.
Also, because of this weird arrangement there are about 4 places in which you can turn on/off the lights which isn't very intuitive. I ended up groping the walls to get some light in the room.
The bed is made out of jenky, cheapo foam.
And... the breakfast here sucks. I had the fruit and I almost threw up because it tasted rancid sour.
The only good thing about this place was that the woman at the front desk was very nice to me when I thought I had lost my wallet. Other than that, I would NOT recommend staying here. -

I am a frequent user of Hotels. I will not be returning to this one. It is older and feels like it. I was on the 3rd floor. 2 mornings in a row I had no hot water. There was some kind of loud noise that kept going on and off all night. I reported it to the front desk and no attempt was made to fix it. the room was not pristine. It looked like the spread had been on the bed for quite a while without being changed. The towels are rough and well used.
This was NOT up to the usual Marriott standards. -

This would have been a 4 star review if breakfast had been included in the rate.
Otherwise, I'm stoked there is a place to stay in Reno that's non-smoking, near the airport and close to the Sparks Marina. (That's the only reason we come here once a year.)
First, let me start off with my disclaimer: I am germphobic. As in, I am grossed out by everything in hotel rooms, from the bedding to the shower floors - even at 5-star hotels. Therefore I'm not one of those people who bothers to lift the mattresses and move the furniture to find dirt and debris to complain about.
Rooms are spacious and recently renovated. Indoor pool is a nice touch and the breakfast buffet is great: waffles, bacon, eggs, oatmeal, juice, coffee, etc.
Starbucks and Pita Pit are in the adjacent parking lot; super nice for morning coffee and late night snacking. -

The first thing I noticed about the hotel was how far it is from downtown. It's actually in a suburbia - or well... a sea of chain restaurants and shops. But I was pleasantly surprised by the place. The people at the front desk were always friendly, the rooms weren't that bad, the indoor pool and hot tub looked nice and the breakfast included with the room was delicious. The breakfast was definitely the highlight of the place. The beds however were very firm. I'm sure some people like that but it wasn't for me. The Peppermill and Atlantis casinos are really just down the street and not very far at all. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

I stayed here for a night while in Reno for work. I thought the hotel was good - the staff was very friendly, room was clean, and the hotel was quiet. I liked that it wasn't downtown - it was actually in a shopping center which gives you options for food and shopping. Best part of the place was the cookies that they had at the front desk!

SOooOOo last saturday while drinking with some friends, we decided that we were going to be what some called "spontaneous". While on this spontaneous hype we chose Reno as our destination of causing havoc. I luckily used to work for marriott so I knew the tricks as to trying to book a room at a cheaper rate. MUCH CHEAPER.. so I called up some friends and ended up booking a room that night for about $69. We got a 2 queen suite with a pull out sofa bed. This worked perfectly since we had 5 people. I really liked this hotel and granted it was off the strip it completely suited our needs. We had no high expectations however the expectations we did have were fulfilled. I would gladly stay at this location again THEY EVEN gave us a 2pm check out which was awesome for us because we didnt get to bed until 6 am. haha.. I really liked this place!

I stay in hotels about 35 nights a year. This is a standard issue Courtyard. However, it is an older property that needs updating. (worn furniture, older TV, etc.) I agree with previous reviewers - it would have been nice to have the breakfast included considering the location and quality of the hotel.
It is in a decent shopping center with a Starbucks and few restaurants. It is pretty far from the downtown area, maybe a 10-15 minute drive. It is pretty close to Atlantis and Peppermill. Lots of other restaurants nearby.
Staff seemed very nice and friendly (although one appeared to be far from valedictorian). -

Friendly staff...called and got "best rate" which has $125/night
Later checked their Marriott web site saw that rooms were going for $95
Asked the assistant manager for the $95 room rate was told "no way"
Rooms were clean but $125/night is out of line in Reno. -

Horrible beds. They are 6" blocks of cheap foam. Not memory foam just cheap foam. Find a different hotel. I think bed bugs would be afraid to stay in this hotel.
