Had a nice stay here with walking distance to Peet's Coffee! If you like good strong coffee than the one they offer at the hotel won't cut it. They had a good selection of tea to drink too. The place was full for the weekend and we stayed on the top floor and didn't have noise issues.
Hotel was well maintained, pool was heated and nice sitting area outside.
The specs:
Room was clean, although the configuration was weird. The bed faced the window, but the TV was adjacent to the bed. Interesting.
It was obvious that a lot of single individuals had previously rented my room. The bed was very soft on one side. However, by rolling to the other side I felt as if I was sleeping on a hard wooden board.'
As I lay there in bed, I heard a crash on the ceiling and then it repeated as it moved from one side to the other. Oh my god, either that is an elephant or a lard ass walking around in the room above me. I hope the steel girders don't give way, or I'm screwed.
A point of advice, the hotel breakfast is a rip off at $12.95, especially with the restaurant Toast a 1/2 block away. The staff is friendly if you catch the right shift, otherwise it is like staying at a Ramada.

It was new looking and pretty clean. They got me a nice room since I asked for a microwave so I got a pretty nice upgrade.
I have a new ipod converter that hooks into the RCA jack of a TV. Some Marriott's TV's either don't have RCA, or they do, but it won't work due to the on-demand system. This courtyard's system worked so that's a bonus star!!
Staff seemed friendly, breakfast was good (but not included).
I would stay here again if I was in Novato.
Comfortably slept 4 adults in a double room (just needed a place to crash after Napa wine tasting, on our way to SF) for one night. Property and room was in good/newish condition. The place seemed mostly intended for business travel. It's right off Hwy 101. Didn't notice any noise issues, but don't expect any scenery either. On site restaurant (didn't try). Only other food in walking distance was a very clean McDonald's. Many other food options a mile away. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free cookies at the counter.
So, nothing special, but did not disappoint. Would stay again due to convenient location.
