Expect a lot of places to be outdated here in Lake Placid. Good thing Marriott came along and built a Courtyard. It's a bit off the main street and has a weird location but nonetheless, it brings something fresh and new to this once-booming town. What else can I say, it's a Marriott... Oh, and by the way, we like their pool. It's not that big and you really can't go do laps but they have 2 spas.

Great hotel in a central location. The hotel is just over a year old. It's staff was extremely nice. Very clean and modern rooms, not the normal green & maroon tacky Marriott colors. The common areas are warm and inviting with a fireplace. They offer breakfast in the morning and a bar menu in the evenings, but no room service. Can't give it 5 stars because it's not a full service hotel but it's the nicest Marriott I've stayed in.
