The rooms are clean and spacious. They get high marks for keeping the noise down, but I have some complaints.
A flickering neon light in my bedroom, a stinky air conditioner, and the worst crime, no wireless access. I rather be setting by the pool while I write this, instead I am sitting by the stinky air conditioner.
The hotel staff is nice. they put out fruit flavored water drinks for the guests, along with cookies in the evening.
I would stay here again if I had too. Only... I've stayed at three different Marriott hotels in the last three weeks. Two in Newbury Park and this one. You would think they could all agree on the amenities, like a working air conditioner (1 out of 3), hair dryer (2 out of three), wireless (2 out of three), microwave (2 out of 3)
This one is the worst of the lot.
I've stayed at this particular location on several different occasions while attending a work training session around the corner. For some reason, this particular time was especially...stinky.
They were nice enough to check me in early, but maybe I should have waited. When I walked down the hall to get to my room, I swear it smelled like someone had some sort of anal leakage in the hallway before me. I know that's rather graphic, but I can't think of anything else to describe the smell.
I'm currently hiding in my room, waiting for the horrible odor to dissipate.
Speaking of the room, it's pretty decent. They have free internet access, lots of room, a nice work desk and a big bed that's pretty comfy. Just don't get the room that faces the freeway, it's loud... =(
And to you, stealthy hallway crop duster - I think you should check yourself into a hospital...smells like you have dysentery!!
