I reserved a room that day online for a cheap rate.
My hotel room was clean, not moist, well kept with a mini fridge, etc. I requested extra squishy pillows so I was happy. I didn't like the trains that went by, but with ear plugs I couldn't hear them. The walls had very good soundproofing in my room so I couldn't hear anyone.
The hotel was very nice to me and brought me a razor and shaving cream, helped me order food through a restaurant delivery service (too tired to go out), and also helped me figure out the laundry. The washer and dryer were nicely cleaned and maintained. The hotel over all was super nice. The main areas were great. etc.

However, I did find out later from a friend that the Marriott franchise gives money to some companies and political groups I am very against, so I won't be staying in a Marriott any longer. Boo.

My first time at a Courtyard Marriott and it was fantastic!  Everything was cool, from the cookies in the lobby, to the fitness room (each machine had a TV, and headphones were complimentary), to the room (rocked the internet connection to write this review), to the breakfast buffet (included in my room rate). Would stay here again!

Marriott is like the Starbucks of hotels.. you always know what to expect and it is good to have high expectations.  They have renovated this hotel recently and the price, location and comfort are all good.  The view is lovely of the Flatirons, and the breakfast is something to look forward to.  BJ's even delivers here and charges it to the room, nice.  I slept like an angel in the king size bed after a relaxing night of movies, food, and fun.

How is this different than any other Courtyard Marriott? These things are a rash on the ass of the urban landscape.

I have stayed in many similar hotels, and lots of branches of Courtyard by Marriott.  This is the best one yet.  The staff was among the nicest, friendliest, and most helpful of any hotel I've been to.  I've gotten worse service and attention at famous boutique hotels like the Peabody in Memphis.  The desk staff was particularly helpful in calling us cabs, looking up Web sites, and other beyond-the-call-of-duty favors.  I've been to Boulder several times, and the staff was able to make offbeat recommendations for dining and entertainment that I never would've found on my own.  I encountered not a single bad attitude from anyone here.  The front desk sells single bottles of beer and opens them for you--I was sipping on a local brew as I was checking in.  I've never had that luxury at any other hotel!  (Other refreshments are available, ranging from fresh sandwiches to fruit to protein bars to chips to wine.)  The rooms were nice and clean.  The Internet connection and accompanying interface literally worked better than in any hotel I've ever visited and was absolutely free (it's still Ethernet and not wireless; however, hotel wireless often barely works and half the time you get charged for it).  The breakfast buffet (which is not free but worth the $10) was very nice and the waitress/hostess (same person) hosting it on the weekend we visited was the best I've seen at any similar establishment.  I want to give congratulations to the staff and the management of this Courtyard by Marriott--it really is head and shoulders above any other Courtyard or similar hotel I've visited.  The location is not the most convenient, but even so I would be happy to stay here during any of my trips to Boulder.  Well done!
