I've stayed at this Courtyard twice now.  Once back in September 2008, and on Friday, May 22nd, 2009.

Was a late arrival as I had a 4-5 hr drive to get to the hotel.  No issues, check-in was lightspeed and I was sleeping within 15 min of getting to the room.

The bed was great, usually the case with any Marriott property lately.  I like a firm mattress and this was almost as firm as my bed at home.

Only stayed until 7-8 am as I had some more driving to do.

Didn't try the breakfast cafe.

Not too shabby for 60 bucks on priceline!! Stayed out here the night before driving really really fast on the track in Buttonwillow.... The hotel was clean and the bed was comfy... can't really complain too much there!

Bathrooms were nice and seemed newly renovated; highly doubt I'll ever need to spend the night in Bakersfield but if need be.... I wouldn't mind staying here again! Only downside was that the soundproofing needed some improvement.

Courtyard properties are starting to look very nice, and the one in Bakersfield is in that same class. The check in process was smooth and effortless. The rooms are spacious even with the two double beds in the room. Fortunately, we had a view of the pool area. It was well constructed with a gazebo and a nice trail that led to the pool. My only disappointment with this property is the beds. They were hard and stiff and my back didn't enjoy it. It wasn't the typical "Marriott" bed that I'm so accustomed to. If you want breakfast, there's an all you can eat area in the lobby for about $10. Not a bad deal, but we decided to pass. Overall, this was a pleasant experience.
