Courtyard by Marriot, We stayed here one night when visiting friends in edison NJ, right off the highway i-287 in raritan center. we have already slept here prior. My real pet peeve is that we called to inquire about availability and they quoted us a price, i thought it was reasonable, and only a half mile from where we wanted to go. so we asked if we should book over the phone, they said theres no problem and that it was alright to just book when we checked in, she gave us her name, but i forgot it. so when we arrived, that person had already checked out for he day and was replaced by another shift. the price they quoted us was 15 dollars higher that the prior person. then when we protested they just said thats the current rate.
the rooms were nice and comfortable, they had a lobby bar and a swimming pool, but it turned out to be terrible because of the managmenets refusal to honor the prior quoted prices, despite the fact that i could describe her voice and that we had a cellphone log that showed we called.
Nice facility. My King Suite was HUGE. Although all Marriotts are non-smoking, the scent in the hallway leads me to believe it is a recent change at this location. The room itself did not smell of smoke. If I have to come back to Woodbridge / Edison for any reason, I would stay here again.
