For $8.50 for a brunch buffet is very cheap but the food wasn't that great.. The scramble eggs w/ bacon was a bit too salty for my taste. The french toast would have tasted bad if not with the help of the syrup. I guess I might be too crucial, considering I didn't try everything, but I couldn't eat so much that early in the day. Only reason my family came here was because there was a discount for the brunch and it was convenient.
The dinner was much better than the brunch. The grilled pork chops were tasty but it was sorta hard to cut into. I really only like the sauce. The mushroom raviolis were very tasty. I would stay away from the fried shrimps. I didn't get the Asian noodles because of the long line but my sister did and her husband said it was alright. The service was pretty good. The lady is charge of our table was very friendly and quick.
OK food at the best, but FAB BEVS! Whooooo. Fruit Punch, Pepsi products, cranberry juice, orange juice, apple juice, hot tea, ice tea, coffee... yum! I'm always a sucker for the unlimited fruit punch, whoo!
The food here is...meh. There's some good things here, I think. Oh, they do have a asian noodle soup bar, which is pretty cool. The other food is just meh, like I said. Nothing spectacular, but nothing over the top I-really-can't-eat-any-of-this-down bad food. It's edible, just not that satisfying, I guess.
Anywho, great location. Inside of Circus Circus--whoo! I've been here three times in the recent months on my visit to the midway games. One time, they passed out fortune cookies at the end of our meal and the fortunes were really vouchers for the casino/midway games! $5 free play and 2-for-1 Midway games. Cool.
The food here is unfortunately not very good. We were enticed to eat here on a Saturday because the price before 4:00 pm was only $9.99. I really wanted to find positives in this place, but the food is pretty below par. The selection is not all that extensive, or maybe I just couldn't find much that I liked. A lot of the meat items, like chicken and fish, were really dry and tasted like they had been cooked a good time before and then stored in a warmer before it was brought out. Thus, the food didn't really taste all that fresh in my opinion.
However, a plus was that the soda, juice, coffee, and tea were all self-serve.
You definitely get what you pay for. Its not bad but more like bad for you. If you're here don't bother with the fruits and greens because they are nowhere near fresh but instead sit back and relax for some of that ham and tri-tip they offer. Meat and starch is all you need in this place. Bollocks to everything else.
Some of my childhood memories were made at circus circus! I remember running around and playing games and then coming to the buffet and eating. Few years back this buffet was cheap and good. But now it just tastes like Costco food, not bad but not good. I would NOT come here again!
It's okay for cheap food that tastes bland. The prime rib was delicious and was the only really decent item. Pizza was good for a buffet. Recommend the noodle bar soup.
Great Brunch Buffet!
The omelet was amazing (Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, Ham, Bacon & Little Cheese). Large selection of meats. I sampled almost everything. The Noodle & Stir Fry station is great.
I would come back if I had a bigger appetite.
this is a schizophrenic breakfast buffet for sure.
our boarding crew met up early at the buffet to grab a bite before hitting the slopes. as we perused the offering, we we immediately struck by the fact that there was no rhyme or reason to the food offerings.
omelet bar: totally made sense as it was breakfast time.
fried chicken: umm....weird
roast beef: umm...weird.
"chinese" food: umm...weird
bbq: umm...weird
scrambled eggs: now we're talking
garden salad: umm....iffy
very random indeed, i did enjoy the omelet bar and sasauge. the scrambled egg was extremely runny and prob gave me the huge tummy ache that set in durignt he early afternoon. the chicken fried steak was very dry and the gravy was lackluster. the bbq ribs were decent.
i guess this is a good spot to eat in the morning if you are a person that cannot make up your mind....but do not go here if you have breakfast on your mind as it may drive you crazy.
cheap buffet.....but i can't complain too much cause it was comped.
All you care to eat buffet. This place was awful!
Plate after uneaten plate, I kept trying to find something from the massive selection that wasn't garbage. The usual allure of all-you-can-eat and the ability to try many different items is lost here.
The "salmon" was white-fleshed and dry like a block of wood, the mac and cheese was cooked to mush and totally flavorless, the "prime" rib was also overcooked and dry, unlike the undercooked sausage I wouldn't touch. The soda machine was pumping out straight syrup almost, the milk was from a powder, I wouldn't try the high fructose corn syrup "juice" from concentrate. That's just the tip of the iceberg. A few tong-pokes at the catfish told me I was better off not wasting my time, the marinated mushrooms would have been better had they been tasteless, the turkey was really dry and salty, on and on and on...
Basically, I found only a few items that I was willing to eat, but they never even came close to excusing the $13 cost of admission. The number of plates I went through was almost comical, had I not been so disappointed.
The Courtyard Buffet is a great deal for really fat, disgusting people, who are happy shoveling the maximum possible volume of very low quality food into their pie-holes. Otherwise, $13 will get you a vastly superior, satisfying meal elsewhere nearby.
Very disappointed to say the least. My Wife and I went here for brunch 2 for 1 buffet. I have to say at least it was cheap but the food was horrible! The usual food was available but the quality was crap, I would compare it to hospital food to be honest.
Hey for the price this is pretty good stuff. About $9.00 bucks each you can't go wrong. They have a nice salad bar, breakfast area (good fried potatoes) carved turkey, beef and side stuff. I like the large dessert area. Still find myself eating mac n cheese and chicken from the kid area. If you get there before 3:30pm you pay lunch price and then they switch over to dinner stuff and get a better variety. Don't forget the drink bar on the side. Love it the they have juices.
AWESOME!! We used our 2-for-1 coupon on Saturday afternoon and it wasn't even $10! It was still brunch, so there was still a lotta breakfast stuff. The BBQ...something (I forgot...) was delicious. I love buffets where you can get your own drinks.
I tried this buffet once the first time I came to reno it was terrible!!! No stars! But we tried it again and it was not half bad. They made some improvements I guess in the last few years.
Haven't been here in a little while but I sure made many visits to this back in the day with my family and my uncles, aunts and cousins. We made many trips to Reno when I was younger. Hey, I can't help it if I am Asian. My Mom likes Gambling. LOL....
Actually, we came here to Reno - Tahoe to watch the Circus Shows and win some stuffed animals. You know the reason your parents go to Reno is really for the kids.
So most of the time we are here, it was for the morning meal. We are here at night once in a while but definitely a lot more breakfast and lunch visits.
The food was always okay. Not the best but it was always pretty cheap and I imagine it is probably one of the cheaper buffet options in town. I can't say for sure cause I haven't seen the prices lately but if they are still relatively cheap and that's what you are looking for, go. If they have gotten expensive, well, I would probably recommend other options......
Great breakfast buffet. We went on a Saturday morning and expected to wait however, we were surprisingly seated promptly. $20 for two people, all you can eat you cant go wrong here as they have everything you can think of to eat. I stuck with the breakfast food and everything was delicious. The problem is how you feel after you completely stuff yourself full of unnecessary extra food...but you sure have a good ole time doing it! We will definitely be back next time were in town.
It's not like eating at a 5 star restaurant but hey for the price it is great. Plus if your staying at circus circus you always get a buy one get one free comp at check in. The drinks and salad bar alone is worth the $9 for 2 people! The fact that they serve a jumble of random breakfast and lunch items is perfect for families or large groups. There has got to be something for everybody with all of the randomness!
A family favorite! Not too expensive. The selection was large and very good. My 13 yr old love the prime rib and went back several times. Of course the deserts selection were good and the kids love that as well.
the food here is pretty ok, but ive had better experiences at other buffets around reno. theres also not much of a selection. i love the price for brunch tho, we usually eat here every saturday morning whenever we come to reno and its a pretty good deal. i would much rather go to the buffet at the el dorado, but that one can get crowded sometimes. and try to avoid this buffet on sunday mornings, the line goes all the way around the corner.
