Average Stay. My sister and I stayed here to celebrate my friend and I birthday. The lobby was nice and the hotel had valet, which helped. The room was pretty clean, they could have done a better job with the bathroom. We stayed on a high floor and the night view was amazing. Right behind the hotel was the board walk and you could walk to most of the casinos. Borgata and Tropicana, just to name a few, were farther away and you could take a cab or the jitney to get there. This Marriott offers a paid breakfast, but it is worth it. For about $11 you can get a full breakfast buffet with an omelet station and make your own waffles. Food was great.
I would stay there again.
If your looking to a smoke free, quiet location... this is it! -

more like 3.5 stars.
First time to Atlantic City and The Courtyard provided us with an affordable, clean room near the boardwalk.
Location: a block and a half away from the Taj Mahal and the boardwalk. It's far from the newer hotels (Borgata and Harrah's), but taking a taxi is not a big deal. This is NOT the place to go if you're looking for a casino/resort hotel.
Service: great service. The valet attendants are quick to please and will hail a taxi for you when you need it. The check in/check out staff was very accomodating. There's a breakfast buffet in the morning ($12) and a bar that's open until midnight.
For $180/night - we were very pleased! -

Honestly - I told the general manager (after a few beverages) that I was going to Yelp the sh*t out of his hotel. So here I am, keeping my promise.
Recently returned from a girls weekend in AC. Stuffed a lot of ladies into one room at the Courtyard Marriott. The price was very reasonable, the hotel was modern and clean, and the room was a good size. The valet was quick to both park and retrieve our cars, and to hail us a cab when we needed one. There was a fridge in the room, which was awesome.
We were sad to find that none of the ice machines on our floor, or the floors above/below us were working. A nice man saw us walking around with empty buckets and asked us if we needed ice. He was in plain clothes, but appeared to work there. We said "sure!" and handed him our little buckets. He saw that we had a huge cooler and said "I can just take the cooler!" We said he didn't need to, but he insisted.
He returned very quickly with a cooler full of ice. We tried to tip him, but he said no, please leave the tip for the cleaning staff, they work much harder than me. I'm the general manager I'm just dressed down today.
Now that, folks, is amazing service. If I'm ever in AC again you can bet your ass I'm staying at this hotel, and I will recommend it to everyone I know. -

I'm a fair guy, so here it is the location is pretty good, just south of Taj, and Showboat, price is wayyyyy too high, but all of AC is like that. The room was nice, I have no complaints and parking was easy for me, I parked on the street and was only there one day.
Now I would never go back to this place, because my credit card and info were compromised by the employees there. I had fraudulent charges on my card when I checked it the next day, all over A.C. and I only used that card to check in. I didn't care for managements response to the incident, questioning me, like it's impossible any of their employees are that sketchy. -

Very nice modern hotel just a block from a couple of Atlantic City casinos and right across the street from the world famous Atlantic City Bar and Grill. If you don't feel like splurging on a casino hotel, I'd recommend staying here for an experience that is just as nice. Five minute walk from the beach, and the Taj. 10-15 minute walk along the Boardwalk to some of the MIdtown hotels.
My only complaint is the mandatory $12 valet parking charge. No real reason for that, self-parking in the lot behind the hotel would be just as easy.
I will probably stay here again! -

I just want to start out by saying, if I go to any hotel (non-casino) in Atlantic City, I want it to be here!!
Short, sweet and simple : classy rooms with a an ipod connector to the radio, sexy decor, conveniently located, clean, bright, and smelled good. -

Q: What do you do when you've already spent $100 for standing room only tickets to the New Kids on the Block concert, and you really don't want to spend $500 more for a night at a hotel?
A: You book a room at the Courtyard by Marriott at $200 a night.
The reason this hotel is so inexpensive, other than its being not directly on the boardwalk, is its status as a non-casino hotel. That is, there are no gaming areas in the lobby. However, note that a number of casino-hotels (Resorts and Taj Mahal), along with the boardwalk itself, loom overhead a mere 5 minute walk away. ON TOP OF THAT, non-casino also translates in this case to NON-SMOKING. Pretty good to save 200-300 bucks, right?
Additionally, this place looks and smells new. As in....the hotel equivalent of "new car smell." I'm not sure if the Courtyard by Marriott has always been here and recently remodeled or if it is new construction, but it is pretty brand spankin' new. The rooms are cozy and have a comfortable and attractive layout, and there is a nice flatscreen and fancy toiletries to keep you company during your stay. This place also gets props for having the first and only "quinoa shampoo" I've ever seen.
On top of that, we saw the opening act for the New Kids at the elevator bank. He was this young kid named Colby O'Donis (sp?), and...yes, I think the original New Kids on the Block t-shirts that my friend and I were wearing are actually older than he is.
So, my t-shirt is old enough to vote... Wanna make something of it??? :P -

Decent location, and the rates were excellent! A walk or a short cab ride to the major casinos near the boardwalk. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bed was comfortable.

In a city where your night can go to absolute crap after losing all your money (and being accused by an old, Russian gypsy woman that you have cursed the Blackjack table), it's good to know that I can always count on the Courtyard for a good night's sleep. I love staying here for my AC trips. It's cheaper than all the boardwalk casinos and it's only 100 feet (one block literally) from the boardwalk itself. The rooms are nice and cozy and the hotel itself seems very new and well furnished. I love the foyer with it's marble floors and high ceilings. Plus they have Boardwalk Empire themed drinks at their bar... major score. I friggin' love that show. They also have complimentary home made cookies in a basket at the front desk. I always steal a few when I leave for the ride back home. They're yummy. You can also grab breakfast in their dining room till noon with their great AYCE breakfast bar option for cheap (around $12-15) which has drinks, fruit, pastries, meats, eggs, cereal, yogurt and also an omelette bar and a personal waffle maker!!! I love freshly made Belgian waffles topped off with warm maple syrup!! Needless to say, it hits the spot after a night of gambling and drinking till 4 in the morning....
Courtyard Atlantic City will always have my business because of their great rates, courteous customer service and proximity to the boardwalk. I can't wait to go back! -

I stayed here for two nights during a conference a few blocks away. This is a newer hotel with a beautiful lobby. Each room has two beds and a flat screen TV with decent coverage. Each day, I returned from the conference to find my room cleaned, beddings changed, and new towels added to the bathroom. The rate we had for the conference was pretty decent as well. If I was going back to AC, I would strongly consider going here again.

I booked a couple of rooms for a fun birthday weekend in AC. We arrived early (around noon) and our rooms were ready, which was awesome. The rooms and bathrooms were great, clean. However, one thing that totally grossed me out were the glasses in the room, they were DISGUSTING. Dirty with fingerprints and lipstick marks still on them...even though they were wrapped in plastic with a sticker that said "sparkling clean" on them. Just stick to the plastic cups and you'll be fine. Also, the rooms come with a mini-fridge, which is a good bonus. Finally, they were great and gave us a late check-out. I will definitely stay at the Courtyard again.

This newly built hotel is just off the strip with friendly staff, comfortable rooms all with flat screen TV's. I slept really well here. Don't expect a great view and valet parking is $12 a day. You may come and go as many times as you like.

A beautiful new hotel with a very nice lobby. Our room was fantastic and I loved the jet-tub in the workout room. I wish they had a pool though! Still, very impressive and it shows how Marriott is making the Courtyards truly fantastic places to stay. Highly recommended.
