I know, it's plumbing, hard to get exited to review, but because Lou did such a wonderful job, I feel called to give him a shout out.
Great parts about Lou/ Courtesy Plumbing: Very neat, wore booties every time he entered my home, left my bathrooms cleaner than when he arrived. Efficient and skilled, did just as I asked- snaked two drains, and installed a toilet. Drains are running great, and my new toilet works.... well, like it should. Even gave me some great advise to keep drains flowing smoothly.
Thanks for the referral Yelp, and thanks Lou and Courtesy Plumbing! -

It's really easy to like these guys. I had a sudden problem with the plumbing in my shower, and my after-hours call was promptly and courteously handled, both in terms of accurately diagnosing the problem and coming up with an affordable solution. The work was performed both quickly and professionally, and the area was restored to clean, like-new condition when completed.
For me, it's a no-brainer to go with Courtesy Plumbing the next time a problem arises. Very fair pricing, quick service, very knowledgeable, professional and courteous--what else could I want? -

At first, I thought the warm floor near my fridge was just a nice feature so that I could patiently choose my midnight snacks without freezing my feet.
Imagine how my heart sunk when I realized it was more likely the sign of a slab leak!
Mike from Courtesy Plumbing came out right away (on a Saturday too) to confirm that my fridge isn't nearly as cool as I thought. He called to let me know he was on his way, was patient with my angst over the leak, and laid out all the options.
Basically the two options are to either re-route the hot water through the house or to jackhammer out the area of the leak to repair it. Mike was clear in his explanation of the pros/cons of all the options and even suggested I skip the leak detection for now in case I choose to do the re-route.
After laying out the next steps, Mike went on his way without collecting a penny. I, on the other hand, stayed right where I was feeling pretty warm (not hard when the floor below you is heated from the leak).
On a serous note, if I go with them for the actual work, I might provide an update. Bottom line though is that you sure can't beat real, honest, and friendly service with something you're actually freaking out about inside.
I have no doubt that their great service attitude is followed up with great work. All these excellent Yelp reviews are no joke! -

I am writing this review for my senior citizen parents who called me recently wanting to know the name of a reliable plumber. They had noticed an area on their living room carpet that was wet and warm. Being on a limited income, they were very concerned that this was going to be a major repair and wanted someone who would not take advantage of them.
Of course I researched Yelp and noted ALL the positive reviews for Courtesy Plumbing. I told my Mom that based on this that I would contact them for a free evaluation. Mike from Courtesy Plumbing went out the same day and determined that the leak was not under the slab but coming from the wall near their shower which is adjacent to their living room. He explained how he would cut the drywall under the stairwell to repair it. The work was done quickly and professionally. The drywall was not replaced and we will plan to have this fixed by someone who specializes in this.
Overall, my parents were very pleased with the outcome. Having had bad experiences with other service related people, they were relieved and reassured by the professional explanation of the problem and surprised that the price was so reasonable. In this economy as well as when people are on a fixed income, it is nice to have a company who has fair prices. Thanks Mike for treating my parents fairly, it truly speaks volumes for Courtesy Plumbing. -

These guys are great. I called to schedule an appointment for some work I needed in the bathroom. They called me the day before to remind me that they were coming over. Michael showed up and took a look at my problem and was able to fix it quickly and in one visit. Their work is guaranteed for a year too. Highly recommended!

Yelp came through again; Courtesy Plumbing has the best reviews, I called them, they did the job very professionally at the right price. Highly recommended. Well earned five starts. Yes, call them first, they are the best.
Details: Toilet will not flush right. I tried all the DIY fixes with several trips to Home Depot. Finally I decided to call in the professionals. Turned to Yelp for a listing of the best. Found Courtesty, the best of the best, gave them a call, made an appointment. Very professional, prompt, fair price, expert job, completely resolved my problems and I could not be happier. What a pleasure to have them help me. Excellent service. Thank you Courtesy Plumbing. You have won all my future business. -

Michael did a great job of fixing my multiple kitchen sink problems: A leaking Moen faucet; A noisy Reverse Osmosis system.
Michael replaced the entire faucet with one Moen sent me and he correctly installed a RO dispenser that eliminated the annoying noise.
Everything is working perfectly and there are no leaks. Very happy and the price was reasonable. -

Tony @ Courtesy Plumbing is the MAN! I finally have a plumbing company I can use again, and indeed am just waiting for parts to arrive to call them back again! I've dealt with crappy plumber after crappy plumber and it's great to have someone who I can trust to do a good job at a reasonable price.
First off, the ladies at their office are super polite and really nice. They made the appointment at a time that was convenient for me and then on appointment day gave me a "20 minute warning" call that the plumber was on his way. Awesome.
Tony arrives, puts on his booties so my floors don't get all dirty and gets to work. He's friendly and prepared! I also found out during our conversation that he's the owner and has built this company from the ground up on good referrals from consistently doing an awesome job.
Plumbing Problem #1: He take one look at my kitchen sink and says "Waste of my time and your money to fix this. Call Kohler and tell them this is shot. They'll send you a whole new unit and I'll install that for you when it arrives". Bam, called Kohler and it's on it's way.
Plumbing Problem #2: Correcting a crappily done plumbing job I tried myself. No problem for Tony! Fixed my screwups and bathroom sink is now working like a charm.
Plumbing Problem #3: Master shower/tub dripping (read: POURING) water out of the tub faucet when the shower is on. Also, "Hot" handle is loose and jiggling. This one wasn't my fault, by the way, this was a FAIL by a previous plumber. Takes stuff apart, looks at it, everything's in poor condition with old parts. He makes a quick home depot run, grabs the parts and fixes everything. Good as new!
Holy cow, are you still reading this? Your plumbing problem's not going to solve itself! Call Courtesy Plumbing NOW and your days of worrying about shady plumbers are over.
P.S. I can't remember, did I mention they are awesome?Listed in: Home Repair Stuff and things

So glad I went to YELP and found Courtesy Plumbing. Always seems to be problems calling service companys. But not this time. They sent me a guy named Lou Wiley, what a great guy. Respectful, explained everything to me, worked fast, clean and efficiently and charged a reasonable price. Even left the bathroom spotless. I will definitely use them again and ask for Lou. Great job!

Tony literally just left after helping out with my plumbing issues and I couldn't be happier.
I had a bathtub that only let out cold water and a leaky sink faucet head. He fixed those problems in no time and the prices were more than reasonable. He was friendly, courteous and willing to teach a thing or two about plumbing.
I highly recommend Courtesy Plumbing if you have any issues.
Thanks Tony! -

Alright, I rarely write Yelp reviews, but these folks really deserve some credit. I've been having some intermittent issues with water coming out from behind my washing machine. I called up Courtesy Plumbing, and they quickly set me up with an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Tony arrived on time to help me diagnose the problem. He was friendly and easy to get along with.
We couldn't get a solid diagnosis the first day since water had stopped flooding at the time, but he gave me his card and told him to call him right away if it happens again. He didn't charge me for anything which I thought was really nice. You can see that these guys are reasonable and will NOT nickel & dime you at any chance like other services.
I called him up in a few days later when water started flooding, and I called him like he said. We set up an appointment, and he came over (on time again). He immediately figured out what was going on and fixed it in 10-15 minutes. He even went above and beyond by helping me clean the area behind my washer a bit to prevent mold/mildew. The invoice came and it was very reasonable. All-in-all it was a good experience, which is rare in this industry. -

So Tony just left and yes, he is the guy on their main webpage. One word. Legen-wait for it...Dairy!
Tony was just cool to work with, the review actually starts a year and a half ago. Apparently my brothers had some kind of leak and didn't know how to turn off the water around 8PM at night. They called him and he came out tweaked a lever and turned off the water. Didn't even charge for coming out!!!
Now, fast forward to today. I had a unique toilet clog where I would brush my teeth and my toilet water would rise and make chicken noises (Bluck, Bluck, Bluck). After snaking about 6 feet or so, still nothing. Called him and he came out same day. Took a look, snaked the toilet and nothing came out, still clogged. Went to the sink, snaked it and found roots!!! WTf?!?!?! Why is a tree growing in my pipes! Maybe it's from all the lemon seeds I flushed down there. Anyways, pulled about 10 feet worth of roots coiled 3 feet around the snake. Told me my options and charged a reasonable price. I dont know what else to say but they know what they are doing.
Pros:
-Fast service, reliable, friendly, and professional
Cons:
-None -

Great service!
Customer service: Courteous and polite, was able to have a plumber out to my house the following day (but that conflicted with my schedule so I was able to get an apt the day after)
Service rendered: Quick and clean. He didn't make any messes out of my house, he wiped his shoes off before he entered (something most handymen don't do, I noticed) and while some water did get on the floor (he was repairing a leak...so that's to be expected) he cleaned it up himself before he left. He did his job quickly and proficiently, and was very friendly at the same time.
Price: What I was hoping to pay - extremely reasonable.
Hopefully, I don't have any more plumbing issues (fingers crossed!!!), but if I do, I absolutely would repeat my business with Courtesy Plumbing. -

Bought a faucet from Home Depot that said "EASY INSTALL" on the box.
Right.
I realize I'm not handy, but this was ridiculous. Anyway, thanks to the folks at Courtesy for taking care of it quickly, cleanly, and cheaply. The faucet has been working perfectly since it was installed, and somehow they managed to stop the slow leak under my kitchen sink, too. (didn't even charge for that!)
Would definitly recommend them! -

Yelpers didn't fail me in their high reviews of Courtesy Plumbing.
I needed to get a kitchen faucet replaced in a hurry. Called around and decided to go with Courtesy based on the reviews. They were able to give me a quote on the phone and setup an appointment for the weekend.
Tony showed up on time, was friendly and professional. He was able to remove the old faucet and install the new one in 15 minutes. He left the work area spotless and the jobs came in under budget. This could not have gone better. -

Tony, the owner of Courtesy Plumbing, rocks! Give him your business!
The first time we called, one of his team came out and wasn't the most honest guy. We didn't give him the business. I Yelped about it and as soon as Tony saw the review, he contacted me to apologize and see what he could do to make the situation right.
It's a long story, but Tony took total care of us. He told us that the fired the technician and then installed our whole house water filter quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. He was friendly, honest and best of all, ethical!!
Don't bother calling any other company. You can't get better than Courtesy Plumbing. I am so thrilled that I've found a plumber that I can trust and recommend whole-heartedly!

I keep forgetting to write this review, but here it is. A few months ago I used them for a few toilet bowl water leaks and the owner came out. He provided excellent customer service, expedited service and great knowledge. I haven't had any issues since. I found Courtesy Plumbing by doing a Yelp search and they definitely live up to their high rating status. Way to go! Keep up the good work. I highly recommend them.

Called them on a Friday afternoon (around 2:30) and they agreed to have someone fix our leaky sink before 5:00. They gave a courtesy call about 30 minute before his arrival. Lionel showed up and fixed our sink in about 15 minutes! He was very professional and I was so grateful they were able to come on such short notice. Our sink was REALLY spewing out some water! We are billing back to our landlord, but $122 still seems reasonable for the amount of work (and the replacement part) that he did.

Called for estimate on faucet install and add'l basic repairs based on yelp reviews. Wouldn't give estimate over phone. Came out and gave verbal estimate. Plumber acted put out and insulted when I asked for written estimate. OK buddy, just get it done. Work went quick.
Time to sign invoice, estimate honored. Oops, what is this section about no liability for possible resulting mold damage? Huh? OK, note to self, insist on all paperwork in advance. If serviceperson is reluctant, ask them to leave.
Better play it safe and doublecheck work for leaks. No leaks! Awesome. But wait, is that water damage I see? Why yes it is. What the f!ck? Can't change a faucet without causing water damage?
They sent someone out to take care of the water damage, which was the right thing to do, but that has led to other problems which we are still trying to resolve.
Just wanted a new faucet with no problems. Thanks Courtesy for the water damage. Could have done that myself. -

Tony, the owner and the plumber who came to fix our broken garbage disposal was incredibly helpful, generous and friendly. He took the time to help answer questions about minor things that also needed some attention around in the apartment and it was greatly appreciated. I don't think you're going to get any better service than with courtesy plumbing, Tony goes the extra mile to make your day go as smoothly as possible!

I was peeling a ton of potatoes and decided to send the scraps down the garbage disposal. My disposal is invincible and I knew it was up to the job. As I was grinding away, one of the pipes underneath the sink couldn't handle the potato madness and gave away.
Courtesy Plumbing said the issue was no problem. They gave me a time-frame when they were coming over and they showed up early. The plumber was polite, entertaining and reassured me that I don't have any problems.
A section of the pipe was replaced within minutes. The system was tested to ensure the work was up to specs. The plumber even cleaned some of the mess that I should've been cleaning. Now, that's above and beyond service!
I was warned ahead of time that weekends cost a little more. When I received my bill, I was very happy that I didn't go into sticker shock. The price was well worth the service. Thanks for saving me.
Great job! You guys get my 5-star vote. -

We moved into this place in April 2011. My daughters complained about a slow shower drain from day 1 and my sink drained slow as well. Didn't want to get ripped off so I tried Drano and Liquid Plummer with zero results. After 10 months, I searched Yelp and calledCourtesy Plumbing. They called me back, scheduled an appointment. Plumber showed up on time, was very polite. Unclogged the kids' shower and unclogged a contact lens that was stuck from the previous owner in the master sink.
A very reasonable price and we have not had a problem since. Thank you Yelp and Thank you Courtesy Plumbing!! -

I just want to say thanks to Yelpers who really make it cheap and easy to find the best stuff. That is, I don't have to pay a membership fee for "some girl's list" and I think you know who I mean, in order to know which plumbers in San Diego are well-liked out there. Courtesy Plumbing helped us out sooo well in our condo in Carmel Valley by Del Mar that we sent them to my parents' house in Poway.
Tony is the nice owner, as so many other people have said, and he came out on our call. This guy is super funny and really cool. We got the sense of honesty right away. Anyways, when he finished re plumbing our bathroom sink that my BF had botched, we referred him over to the folks in Poway. We thought it was a little strange because they are right next to La Jolla, and we thought they may have only done plumbing in La Jolla. Not true, they go everywhere, apparently. And they don't charge La Jolla prices. If we had known it would be so fair, my BF would not have even tried. :) -

I had Courtesy Plumbing come give a quote on how much it would cost to replace my water heater that was leaking. They were far less expensive than the 3 other companies I called and the ladies in the office were so very nice. They came out same day and my problem is solved. Thanks to you guys. I will be referring my clients to you!

So the roommate tried to put coconut shells down the sink disposal... genius, i know.
Anyway, the disposal was humming but wasnt turning when switched on. Googled for a DIY solution, and tried manually freeing the blades with an allen wrench from the bottom... didn't work. (Turns out my wrench was one size too small)
Called Courtesy Plumbing about it, made an appointment, and they showed up 10 min early; no problems there. Guy comes up and does the allen wrench thing again, but had the right size wrench, and the disposal was revived... so simpo
The only issue I have here is that they charged me for a full hour, for literally less than 5 min of "labor". Tried talking it down, but he wouldn't budge. At least they gave me the Yelp discount and let me keep the wrench....
*Update:
Although my initial experience was less than satisfactory, the owner, Tony, gave me a personal call a few weeks later to discuss the issue. Tony has as excellent sense of customer service and great communication, and we were able to work something out very quickly. He also let me know that he did speak to his employees to ensure that nothing of the sort would happen again.
Overall, I think it is safe to say that the particular workers with whom I dealt do not do justice to the image of Courtesy Plumbing's usual style. As long as Tony is still running things, count on him to be dependable, punctual, and fair. -

what started out as an "easy fix" to replace the flapper on my guest toilet tank turned out to be a comedic series of events.
step 1: break off rusted old knob to the toilet water tank (insert cuss word of choice)
step 2: hit head on the sink counter while getting up (insert cuss word of choice)
step 3: open tank, replace slimy flapper (disgusted face + avid use of antibacterial soap)
step 4: notice that flapper does not work (insert cuss word of choice)
step 5: clean scum off old flapper and replace (disgusted face + avid use of antibacterial soap)
step 6: notice the pipe where the knob broke is leaking water
step 7: repeat step 2
step 8: run for towel and cup then back for a bigger cup
step 9: repeat step 2 while calling courtesy plumbing.
sure, can i get the replacement parts cheaper at ace or home depot? maybe with a few runs back and forth to figure it out. with gas prices these days and who knows what other damage i would be inclined to do...one hour later, happy plumber, happy toilet, happy client + 2 advils for the head knocks.
5 stars for service!

Corey came out to fix my clogged shower drain. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes with helpful advice about how to prevent the problem in the future with an inexpensive trap from Home Depot. I got the first time customer 10% discount. Helpful, friendly, quick service and a good price. I couldn't be happier. Also, they told me he'd be here between 9 and 11. It turned out I had to have my daughter somewhere by 10:20, so he showed up promptly at 9:00 a.m. Wonderful!

Main Sewer Line Backup on a Sunday
I came home last night (Saturday night... of course... had to be a weekend for this to happen) I found a full bathtub and over flowing toilet. My sewer line was backed up and I had standing water in the bathroom and kitchen and washing machine.
I googled a bunch of Plumbing companies and emailed them all including Courtesty Plumbing late last night...some as late12:30am... I got a call bright and early at 8:30. It was Tony from Courtesy. We spoke for 3 or 4 minutes and when he found out I had no service... he said he would be at my home in 8 minutes. He was here in 5.
Tony spend 2-3 hours snaking my lines... didnt get to problem... called a friend of his that had a longer snake line... he was here in less than an hour. Between both of them spending from 9am-3pm snaking over 100ft of line through my main sewer-- it was obvious the problem was outside my property. Owner Tony from Courtesy and Joey's Drain company worked hard all day but didnt charge me a cent since they didnt get the line cleared. I made an appt for Tony to come out to do a camera inspection as required by the City.
THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME.
You WONT find more ETHICAL and HONEST plumbers than Tony from Courtesy and his friends.
Thanks guys.

Our water heater finally gave up this weekend. Fortunately, Tony is on call. As a business owner and working in the fields, Tony's schedule is as busy as it gets, but he was able to accommodate my service needs. There's nothing but good to say about his work. I got a chance to talk to him more after he finished. He is really a solid guy that is building a solid company. His past experience as a Marine was the foundation of his work ethic, discipline, and business structure. It's easy to find plumbers, but not so easy to find someone that stands behind the work 100% with integrity and honesty. I absolutely recommend them!

I know what you are thinking: how can a plumber have all of these 5 star reviews? I mean c'mon! They're plumbers! I consider myself fairly handy around the house. I fix most little things, mostly because I hate to pay for something I should be able to do myself. But this drain clog, which started on Christmas Eve, was terrible. I took the pipes apart, plunged, used that awful drain cleaner, but it wouldn't budge. Finally I had to call in a pro. Lionel showed up at 9am, just as scheduled, dapper in his uniform, wearing shoe coverings (!), and set to work. Within the hour the drain was cleared, drama-free, and I was left with a bill so small I am thinking of telling my husband it was 3 times more and go buy myself some shoes! I own an older home and plumbing problems will happen. Courtesy Plumbing is the only plumber I will call in the future.

Wow is all I can say ,these guys are great ! I had a nightmare New Years eve, my water heater started to have a major leak into the condo below mine. I thought I could just buy a new one and replace it myself, turns out I also had a broken water shut off valve to my water heater ,so this was gonna be outta my league . First company I called wasn't very helpful and the cost was outrageous . So I decided to to look to yelp. Courtesy Plumbing came to my rescue ! I saved a ton of cash and they came out immediately . Michael (I think it was) was very fast and helpful .I live in a large condo complex and shutting of the water wasn't the easiest to find .He was very patient in helping me find it . I would recommend to everyone . Thanks again !

Tony at Courtesy plumbing is the worst person I have dealt with in the trade. He was rude and obnoxious!
We had a leak in pipe under the kitchen sink. After some research online, my husband suggested that we called Courtesy plumbing. The plumber came and it took him at least an hour and a half to fix it. His welding stunk up the house so bad that I had to open all the windows and stay outside with my toddle.
A few hours later, I started to prepare dinner and I discovered that the water flow out of the kitchen faucet was getting slower and slower. I was so mad! I called Courtesy plumbing the next day and asked for a supervisor to come over. Tony showed up. He took one look and said, "Do you want one advice? Get a new kitchen faucet!" I told him it was working fine before your plumber came. Tony insisted that it was just a coincidence that my faucet got clotted up right after his plumber came to fix the pipes. When I asked him to open the faucet and take a look. He refused and said he didn't have the tools!
Give me a break! A plumber doesn't have the tools to inspect a kitchen faucet!!!!
Anyhow, I will never use their service again.................................
