Michael did a great job of fixing my multiple kitchen sink problems:  A leaking Moen faucet; A noisy Reverse Osmosis system.

Michael replaced the entire faucet with one Moen sent me and he correctly installed a RO dispenser that eliminated the annoying noise.

Everything is working perfectly and there are no leaks.  Very happy and the price was reasonable.

Tony @ Courtesy Plumbing is the MAN!  I finally have a plumbing company I can use again, and indeed am just waiting for parts to arrive to call them back again!  I've dealt with crappy plumber after crappy plumber and it's great to have someone who I can trust to do a good job at a reasonable price.

First off, the ladies at their office are super polite and really nice.  They made the appointment at a time that was convenient for me and then on appointment day gave me a "20 minute warning" call that the plumber was on his way.  Awesome.

Tony arrives, puts on his booties so my floors don't get all dirty and gets to work.  He's friendly and prepared!  I also found out during our conversation that he's the owner and has built this company from the ground up on good referrals from consistently doing an awesome job.

Plumbing Problem #1: He take one look at my kitchen sink and says "Waste of my time and your money to fix this.  Call Kohler and tell them this is shot. They'll send you a whole new unit and I'll install that for you when  it arrives".  Bam, called Kohler and it's on it's way.

Plumbing Problem #2: Correcting a crappily done plumbing job I tried myself.  No problem for Tony!  Fixed my screwups and bathroom sink is now working like a charm.

Plumbing Problem #3: Master shower/tub dripping (read: POURING) water out of the tub faucet when the shower is on.  Also, "Hot" handle is loose and jiggling.  This one wasn't my fault, by the way, this was a FAIL by a previous plumber.  Takes stuff apart, looks at it, everything's in poor condition with old parts.  He makes a quick home depot run, grabs the parts and fixes everything.  Good as new!

Holy cow, are you still reading this?  Your plumbing problem's not going to solve itself!  Call Courtesy Plumbing NOW and your days of worrying about shady plumbers are over.

P.S. I can't remember, did I mention they are awesome?

Yelp came through again; Courtesy Plumbing has the best reviews, I called them, they did the job very professionally at the right price.  Highly recommended.  Well earned five starts.  Yes, call them first, they are the best.

Details:  Toilet will not flush right.  I tried all the DIY fixes with several trips to Home Depot.  Finally I decided to call in the professionals.  Turned to Yelp for a listing of the best.  Found Courtesty, the best of the best, gave them a call, made an appointment.   Very professional, prompt, fair price, expert job, completely resolved my problems and I could not be happier.  What a pleasure to have them help me.  Excellent service.  Thank you Courtesy Plumbing.  You have won all my future business.

Tony literally just left after helping out with my plumbing issues and I couldn't be happier.

I had a bathtub that only let out cold water and a leaky sink faucet head. He fixed those problems in no time and the prices were more than reasonable. He was friendly, courteous and willing to teach a thing or two about plumbing.

I highly recommend Courtesy Plumbing if you have any issues.

    Thanks Tony!

Alright, I rarely write Yelp reviews, but these folks really deserve some credit. I've been having some intermittent issues with water coming out from behind my washing machine. I called up Courtesy Plumbing, and they quickly set me up with an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Tony arrived on time to help me diagnose the problem. He was friendly and easy to get along with.

We couldn't get a solid diagnosis the first day since water had stopped flooding at the time, but he gave me his card and told him to call him right away if it happens again. He didn't charge me for anything which I thought was really nice. You can see that these guys are reasonable and will NOT nickel & dime you at any chance like other services.

I called him up in a few days later when water started flooding, and I called him like he said. We set up an appointment, and he came over (on time again). He immediately figured out what was going on and fixed it in 10-15 minutes. He even went above and beyond by helping me clean the area behind my washer a bit to prevent mold/mildew. The invoice came and it was very reasonable. All-in-all it was a good experience, which is rare in this industry.

Called them on a Friday afternoon (around 2:30) and they agreed to have someone  fix our leaky sink before 5:00.  They gave a courtesy call about 30 minute before his arrival.  Lionel showed up and fixed our sink in about 15 minutes!  He was very professional and I was so grateful they were able to come on such short notice.  Our sink was REALLY spewing out some water!  We are billing back to our landlord, but $122 still seems reasonable for the amount of work (and the replacement part) that he did.

Yelpers didn't fail me in their high reviews of Courtesy Plumbing.

I needed to get a kitchen faucet replaced in a hurry. Called around and decided to go with Courtesy based on the reviews. They were able to give me a quote on the phone and setup an appointment for the weekend.

Tony showed up on time, was friendly and professional. He was able to remove the old faucet and install the new one in 15 minutes. He left the work area spotless and the jobs came in under budget. This could not have gone better.

Bought a faucet from Home Depot that said "EASY INSTALL" on the box.

    Right.

I realize I'm not handy, but this was ridiculous. Anyway, thanks to the folks at Courtesy for taking care of it quickly, cleanly, and cheaply. The faucet has been working perfectly since it was installed, and somehow they managed to stop the slow leak under my kitchen sink, too. (didn't even charge for that!)

    Would definitly recommend them!

Corey came out to fix my clogged shower drain. He was in and out in less than 10 minutes with helpful advice about how to prevent the problem in the future with an inexpensive trap from Home Depot.  I got the first time customer 10% discount.  Helpful, friendly, quick service and a good price. I couldn't be happier. Also, they told me he'd be here between 9 and 11.  It turned out I had to have my daughter somewhere by 10:20, so he showed up promptly at 9:00 a.m. Wonderful!

I had Courtesy Plumbing come give a quote on how much it would cost to replace my water heater that was leaking. They were far less expensive than the 3 other companies I called and the ladies in the office were so very nice. They came out same day and my problem is solved. Thanks to you guys. Called for estimate on faucet install and add'l basic repairs based on yelp reviews. Wouldn't give estimate over phone. Came out and gave verbal estimate. Plumber acted put out and insulted when I asked for written estimate. OK buddy, just get it done. Work went quick.

Time to sign invoice, estimate honored. Oops, what is this section about no liability for possible resulting mold damage? Huh? OK, note to self, insist on all paperwork in advance. If serviceperson is reluctant, ask them to leave.

Better play it safe and doublecheck work for leaks. No leaks! Awesome. But wait, is that water damage I see? Why yes it is. What the f!ck? Can't change a faucet without causing water damage?

They sent someone out to take care of the water damage, which was the right thing to do, but that has led to other problems which we are still trying to resolve.

Just wanted a new faucet with no problems. Thanks Courtesy for the water damage. Could have done that myself.

Tony, the owner of Courtesy Plumbing, rocks! Give him your business!

The first time we called, one of his team came out and wasn't the most honest guy. We didn't give him the business. I Yelped about it and as soon as Tony saw the review, he contacted me to apologize and see what he could do to make the situation right.

It's a long story, but Tony took total care of us. He told us that the fired the technician and then installed our whole house water filter quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. He was friendly, honest and best of all, ethical!!

Don't bother calling any other company. You can't get better than Courtesy Plumbing. I am so thrilled that I've found a plumber that I can trust and recommend whole-heartedly!

I was peeling a ton of potatoes and decided to send the scraps down the garbage disposal.  My disposal is invincible and I knew it was up to the job.  As I was grinding away, one of the pipes underneath the sink couldn't handle the potato madness and gave away.

Courtesy Plumbing said the issue was no problem.  They gave me a time-frame when they were coming over and they showed up early.  The plumber was polite, entertaining and reassured me that I don't have any problems.

A section of the pipe was replaced within minutes.  The system was tested to ensure the work was up to specs.  The plumber even cleaned some of the mess that I should've been cleaning.  Now, that's above and beyond service!

I was warned ahead of time that weekends cost a little more.  When I received my bill, I was very happy that I didn't go into sticker shock.  The price was well worth the service.  Thanks for saving me.

Great job!  You guys get my 5-star vote.

I just want to say thanks to Yelpers who really make it cheap and easy to find the best stuff. That is, I don't have to pay a membership fee for "some girl's list" and I think you know who I mean, in order to know which plumbers in San Diego are well-liked out there. Courtesy Plumbing helped us out sooo well in our condo in Carmel Valley by Del Mar that we sent them to my parents' house in Poway.

Tony is the nice owner, as so many other people have said, and he came out on our call. This guy is super funny and really cool. We got the sense of honesty right away. Anyways, when he finished re plumbing our bathroom sink that my BF had botched, we referred him over to the folks in Poway. We thought it was a little strange because they are right next to La Jolla, and we thought they may have only done plumbing in La Jolla. Not true, they go everywhere, apparently. And they don't charge La Jolla prices. If we had known it would be so fair, my BF would not have even tried. :)

Wow is all I can say ,these guys are great ! I had a nightmare New Years eve, my water heater started to have a major leak into the condo below mine. I thought I could just buy a new one and replace it myself, turns out I also had a broken water shut off valve to my water heater ,so this was gonna be outta my league . First company I called wasn't very helpful and the cost was outrageous . So I decided to to look to yelp. Courtesy Plumbing came to my rescue ! I saved a ton of cash and they came out immediately . Michael (I think it was) was very fast and helpful .I live in a large condo complex and shutting of the water wasn't the easiest to find .He was very patient in helping me find it . I would recommend to everyone . Thanks again !

I know what you are thinking: how can a plumber have all of these 5 star reviews? I mean c'mon! They're plumbers! I consider myself fairly handy around the house. I fix most little things, mostly because I hate to pay for something I should be able to do myself. But this drain clog, which started on Christmas Eve, was terrible. I took the pipes apart, plunged, used that awful drain cleaner, but it wouldn't budge. Finally I had to call in a pro. Lionel showed up at 9am, just as scheduled, dapper in his uniform, wearing shoe coverings (!), and set to work. Within the hour the drain was cleared, drama-free, and I was left with a bill so small I am thinking of telling my husband it was 3 times more and go buy myself some shoes! I own an older home and plumbing problems will happen. Courtesy Plumbing is the only plumber I will call in the future.

Main Sewer Line Backup on a Sunday

I came home last night (Saturday night... of course... had to be a weekend for this to happen)   I found a full bathtub and over flowing toilet.  My sewer line was backed up and I had standing water in the bathroom and kitchen and washing machine.
I googled a bunch of Plumbing companies and  emailed them all including Courtesty Plumbing late last night...some as late12:30am... I got a call bright and early at 8:30.  It was Tony from Courtesy.  We spoke for 3 or 4 minutes and when he found out I had no service... he said he would be at my home in 8 minutes.  He was here in 5.
Tony spend 2-3 hours snaking my lines... didnt get to problem... called a friend of his that had a longer snake line... he was here in less than an hour.  Between both of them spending from 9am-3pm snaking over 100ft of line through my main sewer-- it was obvious the problem was outside my property.  Owner Tony from Courtesy and Joey's Drain company worked hard all day but didnt charge me a cent since they didnt get the line cleared.  I made an appt for Tony to come out to do a camera inspection as required by the City.

    THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME.

You WONT find more ETHICAL and HONEST plumbers than Tony from Courtesy and his friends.

    Thanks guys.

what started out as an "easy fix" to replace the flapper on my guest toilet tank turned out to be a comedic series of events.

step 1: break off rusted old knob to the toilet water tank (insert cuss word of choice)
step 2: hit head on the sink counter while getting up (insert cuss word of choice)
step 3: open tank, replace slimy flapper (disgusted face + avid use of antibacterial soap)
step 4: notice that flapper does not work (insert cuss word of choice)
step 5: clean scum off old flapper and replace (disgusted face + avid use of antibacterial soap)
step 6: notice the pipe where the knob broke is leaking water
    step 7: repeat step 2
step 8: run for towel and cup then back for a bigger cup
step 9: repeat step 2 while calling courtesy plumbing.

sure, can i get the replacement parts cheaper at ace or home depot? maybe with a few runs back and forth to figure it out.  with gas prices these days and who knows what other damage i would be inclined to do...one hour later, happy plumber, happy toilet, happy client + 2 advils for the head knocks.

    5 stars for service!

I am so jazzed I found this listing at Google and then linked over to Yelp. The good reviews from people in my area of Escondido and North County let me know these guys came here even though they are really centrally located.

My deal: Cracked fiberglass bathtub in a rental. ooops  I was changing a light over the tub, needed a step ladder made of aluminum, placed in said tub, stepped, and crunch a corner of the ladder foot just punched a perfectly square hole in the fiberglass.

Add caulk like any rigged fix, and live with it for a few months. Fast forward to 3 year old niece having a bath and yanking out the caulk. Probably not a big deal because there is a pan beneath tubs to catch water in case of a leak, right? Not that much water. Neighbor below started howling. Ceiling fell in a bit. Just a bit.

Needless to say that since this is about Tony and team at Courtesy Plumbing, they did a bang-up outstanding job. They ranked the fiberglass tub in a way that made it look easier than it should have been, sucked out the pan, replaced it, dried the area thoroughly, and got to business with the new install that day. They even hooked me up with the drywallers that fixed the neighbor's ceiling.

I thought the work was elite, I might have picked a different tub next time, but this was an as-available project. Pretty cool people too.

Our water heater finally gave up this weekend.  Fortunately, Tony is on call.  As a business owner and working in the fields, Tony's schedule is as busy as it gets, but he was able to accommodate my service needs.  There's nothing but good to say about his work.  I got a chance to talk to him more after he finished.  He is really a solid guy that is building a solid company.  His past experience as a Marine was the foundation of his work ethic, discipline, and business structure.  It's easy to find plumbers, but not so easy to find someone that stands behind the work 100% with integrity and honesty.   I absolutely recommend them!

I can't rate this business and it's owner Tony highly enough. They do excellent work and they stand by what they do. They're called "Courtesy Plumbing" for a reason: they actually care about doing the job right - charging a  very reasonable rate - and making sure the customer is satisfied. Tony just installed a new toilet in my home and he is a pro. Great work at a great price. Thanks Tony.

So the roommate tried to put coconut shells down the sink disposal... genius, i know.

Anyway, the disposal was humming but wasnt turning when switched on. Googled for a DIY solution, and tried manually freeing the blades with an allen wrench from the bottom... didn't work. (Turns out my wrench was one size too small)

Called Courtesy Plumbing about it, made an appointment, and they showed up 10 min early; no problems there. Guy comes up and does the allen wrench thing again, but had the right size wrench, and the disposal was revived... so simpo

The only issue I have here is that they charged me for a full hour, for literally less than 5 min of "labor". Tried talking it down, but he wouldn't budge. At least they gave me the Yelp discount and let me keep the wrench....

    *Update:
Although my initial experience was less than satisfactory, the owner, Tony, gave me a personal call a few weeks later to discuss the issue. Tony has as excellent sense of customer service and great communication, and we were able to work something out very quickly. He also let me know that he did speak to his employees to ensure that nothing of the sort would happen again.

Overall, I think it is safe to say that the particular workers  with whom I dealt do not do justice to the image of Courtesy Plumbing's usual style. As long as Tony is still running things, count on him to be dependable, punctual, and fair.

Bryan B. is right. Courtesy Plumbing rocks.

Plumbers are like car mechanics. They know everything. You know squat. There's a certain amount of trust you need to have in them, or it becomes a hugely expensive and unpleasant game of gotcha. When you find one you can trust, you keep them. Tony's a keeper.

We got taken by another (unnamed) plumbing company that my home warranty company sent out. The "emergency response" took a full 24 hours. The second they found roots, they stopped work and said my insurance won't cover the job. The guy said if I wanted him to uncork my pipes, it would cost me $350. I felt like I was being held hostage -- Pay us now, or wait for another day or so without sewer service. I paid.

The next time the pipes were clogged, I Yelped Courtesy Plumbing. Tony was excellent. He sent a camera through the sewer, showed me the problems and took the time to explain all my options. Zero pressure. He cleared out many of the areas the other guy missed and even came back again to clear out the smaller pipes. All for less than the cost of the first plumber. Yay, Tony!

I was in the middle of a birthday party a couple of weeks ago and my main line backed up. Called at 9 pm at night and my call was immediately answered and within 10 minutes Tony had called me back to let me know he would be here within the hour. Fortunately, the line cleared itself at that point and I delayed the service call for a more convenient time. Today I called for same day appointment. Michael was friendly, understanding, and explained to me what was being done as he cleared the main line. Simple, efficient, articulate, and courteous all the way, not to mention fair prices! This company is definitely on my speed dial list for my go-to house maintenance needs. Thanks, guys, for everything.

I had a bad experience with another plumbing company that "fixed" my garbage disposal.  It still rattled after they were done and they told my roommate that there was no point in fixing it more since we "live in PB and it will just get broken again." I have no idea why my roommate accepted this answer but 2 weeks later our disposal wouldn't turn on anymore. Enter Courtesy Plumbing...

Tony provided the best service I have ever experienced.  He was extremely nice and not only fixed my disposal but gave me tips on how to keep it running and even how fix it myself if it stopped again. I will be calling Courtesy Plumbing from here on out.

11-12-11 Update - I received a very nice email from Tony, the owner, thanking me for my review and asking if there was anything they could have done better (to get 5 stars instead of 4). That kind of follow up deserves a star, so I'm giving them 5.

I sent them an email inquiry about having a faucet replaced. They called within 15 minutes and less than an hour later there was a professional, friendly man standing at my door. They have great communication and customer service.

All plumbers are expensive, but if you need one, call Courtesy Plumbing. You'll get great service, fast and friendly.

I had problems with my garbage disposal over New Years and needed a new one installed.  I emailed a couple of plumbers close to my area and Courtesy was the the quickest to respond.  They responded fast and I was able to schedule an appointment sooner than I anticipated.  Tony called me up and we were able to set up an installation within the hour of him calling me back.  Tony is a true professional and did a quick and clean job.  Definitely exceeded my expectations as far as the time it took to set an appointment up over a holiday weekend and the time it took to install the new garbage disposal.  I recommend Courtesy to anyone who is in need of a plumber and I will be using Courtesy when I need plumbing services again.

If you charge $95 for a service fee, I really really expect to have an answer to my (HVAC) issue. Not sure if that's TOO much to ask (**sarcasm**).

My thermostat was completely broken. Heater would strangely turn off and on. So would the a/c. Our go-to HVAC company has always been ASI - low service fee and most importantly, they always leave giving me a clear cut solution/answer to my HVAC problems.

    Pros about Courtesy P:

    - called same day and they had someone to  my house same day
    - they don't charge extra for same day service (other companies charged more, as well as gas fee!)
    - person who answered phone to take the appt was quick and sympathetic (think her name was Christine)

    Cons about CP:

    - only one technician that specializes in HVAC issues
    - my tech spent maybe 10 minutes taking in the situation (checked out a/c unit and heater)
    - didn't really give me answer to my issue, didn't fix anything, and left after half and hour (he spent 10 min of that, in his car, writing the invoice and his findings)

When I asked if it had anything to do w/ the thermostat unit, he said yeah, maybe. I asked him to pop off the digital thermostat on the wall (since i was too scared to do so as I didn't want to do any damage), so he did, and I (ME!) asked if it possibly was due to bad batteries. He said yeah maybe. So i handed him new batteries and he replaced.

Then i asked him if problem was fixed and he said he wasn't really quite sure. That he'd have to suggest replacing entire digital unit and I asked how much that would (he said b/w $300-400 something). I asked if he had any one him and he said Nope. He said he can come back again and I asked if i can buy my own to save money - he said sure, and I asked 'well, that kinda sucks b/c that means i have to pay another service-call fee right.?'. Of course he replied 'yes you will'.

Bottom line, the thermostat worked for another few days then pooped out. Not sure what I paid Courtesy to do - felt like I could have done all that he did and saved myself $95. My friend (who was here at the time) and I felt really disappointed w/ this company b/c it honestly felt like I paid $95 for absolutely nothing. And it didn't seem right that I had to ask all the questions and he just seemed nonchalant about Everything.

Maybe their plumbing division is different. I have a current plumbing issue but I don't feel comfortable or right calling Courtesy for a solution.
