Review from Tony M.
Monrovia, CA
Let me set the scene: 230am Sunday morning I had been asleep for a while but my bladder decided I needed to get up. I head to the bathroom and when I get there I step in about an inch of water on the floor. Panic. Bathtub has water it didn't have when I went to bed, back bathroom shower is flooded, sinks are backed up, MAINLINE SEWER BLOCKAGE!!
I get online and sign on to Yelp for a recommendation. Courtesy Plumbers in my area has great reviews. So does another company. They're both open Sunday morning. I wake up at 730 and make calls to both companies. Left messages for both and a short time later Lewis from Courtesy Plumbers calls back. I explain my situation and he gives me an estimate barring no unseen problems and says I'll be his first stop of the morning.
Lewis shows up, very professional and friendly, and we go over the situation. He gets right to work thru the clean out while he explains what he's doing. We also chatted about other things and stuff. He hits the problem in my sewer line with the rooter machine thing and gets thru with no problem. He also did a little more cleaning out towards the house, which was more troublesome but no problem for Lewis. My situation was solved in 1 hour and cost me way less than I would have expected to pay on a Sunday morning, or any morning for that matter. I recommend Courtesy Plumbers to anyone and will definitely use them again should a problem arise. Courteous, professional, reasonably priced, and pretty darn friendly early on a Sunday morning. Thanks Lewis!
Oh, the other company never called back. -

I thought these plumbers would be honest, but boy was I disappointed. These guys are crooks. I would never use them again unless I want to be over charged and price gouged. I saw their five star rating and thought that I would be in good hands. I was so wrong. I think they grossly take advantage of people because we consumers think that we have found this great five star company. I hope the truth comes out about this shifty and sneaky company.
And what a bunch of B.S. that they give you a 10% yelp discount off their thieving overcharging prices. I'm not stupid, that only raised more red flags with me.
They totally took advantage of me. Don't let them take advantage of you. Use another plumbing company. -

My tub spout had been leaking for about a year. I looked into fixing it myself but quickly realized I had neither the tools nor the experience to complete the work.
Just an hour after I called, Rick pulls his enormous truck into my driveway. He conducted himself very professionally and courteously (hence their name) as he went over the estimate. He took the time to explain to me what he did, how he did it and what parts I will need if I choose do it myself the next time. I am very happy with the overall experience.
Quick note: If anyone from Courtesy Plumbers is reading this, please remove your shoes before entering an old Asian woman's house. My mom was a bit upset. Thanks. -

I recently had some work done at my home, two standard jobs (on the surface) that turned out to require reassessing from the original evaluation of how to satisfactorily resolve the problem. I am glad to say that Sean, Jeff and Jason ultimately went the extra mile to make sure that I was happy with what was needed, not just accepting of "good enough".
Thanks, guys! -

Claremont, CA
Just purchased a home and lots of things needed to be attended to, and one of the first issues was a broken water line that was supposed to feed my fridge. I called Courtesy and they sent Jason out who was prompt and quickly assessed how much it was going to cost to replace the pipe. What I liked was that he gave me the economical option, and also the less economical but more sturdydurable option instead of just charging me for the most $$. I went with the sturdy option just so the durn thing won't break in the future.
A day later, we had a leaky toilet and I called Courtesy again. Jason came by again and also quickly diagnosed the issue. Turns out, he just needed to tighten something and he didn't charge me for the second visit!
Great service, great, knowledgeable technicians and fair prices. Happy to be a new homeowner with a trusted plumber. -

I would highly recommend them. -

Most times we look for value in the price of things. We are always looking for the cheapest way to do this or that, but value is really about a job well done, a guarantee, and, most of all, good-old-fashioned-service. Sometimes, if the fee is large, it makes us feel better if the person performing the job took a long time to do it, but that doesn't mean the job required those many hours to get fulfilled. A knowledgeable plumber can diagnose the problem, give you an estimate, and get to work fast; knowing precisely what he has to do. All of those things I have found both times I have called on Courtesy Plumbers, and I will continue to use them as long as they keep those high standards of service.

Review from Mabel L.
Arcadia, CA
My review starts as a 1 star but by the end of this review, a resolution was reached and I am ending it with a 4-star for Courtesy Plumbers.
My dad is notorious for randomly finding people/services from the yellow pages (yes, he's from that generation) and I have suffered from several of his findings...anyhow, when he told me that all of the toilets were clogged at their house and that he asked his gardener for a referral (yikes!) I was like "hell no", searched on my Yelp app and found Courtesy Plumbers.
My dad was very hesitant about it because he had already told his gardener he would use his friend; but I insisted, made the call and appointment so, came Courtesy Plumbers.
Over the phone, they had quoted us $130 based on the info I gave them. I verified any additional/hidden cost and the lady on the phone assured me that it was an inclusive cost unless it was not what we had thought. Fair enough. They gave us a work window of 2:00pm to 4:00pm and came right at 2:00pm. Awesome!
Now onto the job. The technician went right to work and the problem was exactly as we had thought; however, when it came time to pay the bill, there was an additional charge of $1/foot of piping that needed to extend to the city sewer. This added another $30 to the bill (30 extra feet) which was not disclosed over the telephone. Not that $30 is a lot but my dad was pretty peeved about the undisclosed added cost so of course he called me refusing to pay it.
I call the office and sure enough, the lady reiterated the reason for the added cost which is fine, but I let her know that that wasn't disclosed in the beginning. She apologized for the miscommunication but we left it at that. I told my dad just to pay and had to apologize to him for making him take my referral rather than using who he had wanted (which I still feel would have been a bad choice...but being smart, I didn't say so).
5 minutes later, he calls back to tell me that everything is ok, the technician got a call back from the office not to charge the additional cost and to charge just what we were quoted, the $130.
So I would give a 5 star to Courtesy Plumber for their promptness, efficiency, and integrity for sticking to their price quote; however, because I did get yelled at by my dad and lost a bit of credibility in my choosing of referrals, I'm gonna have to deduct 1-star and leave this review with a 4. -
Review from Steve V.
The pilot light on my water heater went out and I needed help. I switched out the thermocouple on my own but the pilot light would not stay lit. I called these guys and someone was there within a few hours. His name was Rick and he was very friendly and professional looking.
He promptly diagnosed the problem, which was simply that I did not connect the thermocouple completely. Frustrating yes, but for him too, as he did not want to charge me, but since he came out, he had to charge me the minimum fee, which was $99. This included the Yelp discount. He truly felt bad charging me.
Either way, the prompt response and speed was impeccable! I would use these guys again, but hopefully won't have to. -

Review from RICKEY G.

Well it starts like this. I had a problem with a toilet and kitchen faucet which needed to be removed and replaced.
I decided to purchase the replacement items myself because i did my research and knew exactly what i wanted. I returned home with the new toilet and faucet and my next important decision was to choose the plumber.
I have had plumbers arrive and complete the service in a so/so - OK it works now fashion so i decided to check Yelp for a little help.
Courtesy Plumbers was at the top with approx 158 reviews all of which were at or near the 5 Star mark.
I'm thinking how many friends and family can they have, Right?
I had to give them a call for no other reason than to judge for myself.
I called with the supposition that first impressions are the best.
A pleasant representative answered and politely asked what my concerns were.
I told her, she made a same day appointment for me and told me the plumber would arrive between 1 and 4 pm.
She asked me how I heard about their business as we were ending our conversation and I advised her through Yelp.
She thanked me and a awaited the plumbers arrival.
First impression test passed with flying colors!
I received a call at approx 2:45 pm from Tom (The Plumber) who advised me he was waiting at my front door.
He defiantly passed the promptness test.
I immediately showed him my problem locations/devises and the corresponding replacement items.
He guaranteed me there would be no problem and asked would i like for him to haul the old items away which i answered with an eager yes.
He then surprised me by saying i would receive a 10% yelp discount.
Thank you Yelp!
Tom removed and replaced the toilet in record time and then responded to the kitchen for the faucet replacement.
He went out to his truck for some reducers and advised me that he noticed my water pressure regulator was connected upside down which affected it's effectiveness. He immediately checked the pressure on the outside water faucet which measured 150 psi approx double what it should have.
He told me what he had discovered and how he was surprised there were no other water leaks or other more serious problems.
His comments jogged my memory and I related a story to him regarding what i was told prior to purchasing the residence regarding water leaking into a downstairs bathroom from a leaking faucet/pipe from the washer which was directly above.
The result was flooding and dry wall damage which had to be replaced and repaired (Dah!). Their only remedy at that time was to place an on/off shut off valve in the faucet connected ted to the washer.
I also remembered that water pressure release sound that periodically came form my toilets (Double Dah!).
Needless to say i had Tom replace the old pressure regulator which he offered at a more than reasonable price.
The overall experience and price was outstanding. I could not have asked for anything more.
Outstanding customer service, very professional and knowledgeable.
More like a locally owned Family Business that cares about the products and service it provides to its customer base.
As Tom was finishing I asked about some other items i wanted installed.
He gave me excellent advice and I will be calling again soon for additional service.
Last but definitely not least Tom had received a few phone calls while continuing to diligently work, all of which meant nothing to me beside perhaps he had additional jobs in line.
Turns out it was tom's wife checking in.
They are/were (not sure as of this writing) expecting a baby girl at any moment.
Obviously congratulations were in order - which I eagerly gave.
Never ever thought I would be writing an Outstanding 5 Star rating for any pluming business but goes to show you NEVER SAY NEVER!
Needless to say Highly Recommended. -

We have been having so many plumbing issues with our house and it is so difficult to find an honest plumber. Well, I looked up YELP and couldn't believe all the reviews for this company. In summary, we tried them. They are fast, responsive, diagnosed the problem and offer their solution AND fixed the problem as soon as it was humanly possible. Now, that's service.

I could not believe all the good reviews here...I thought it couldn't be possible for a plumbing place to be that great...but...I discovered that the reviews are ALL TRUE. In my 30 years of living in a house, this was the first time I actually had a pleasant plumbing moment.
I called them because of a serious leak that was flooding our house. They arrived within an hour! Rick was an extremely pleasant person who found the problem and promptly fixed it...and I wasn't charged a bloody fortune.
I usually have plumbers that come out to my place that barely speak english or barely can find the problem. Not so with this place...English spoken and they know their stuff!! -

Sean came to fix a clog issue at our place in late 2011. He was clean, friendly, approachable, and seemed very trustworthy. This was a friendly sight after having run across 3 other plumbers the past 2 years that raised sneaky suspicions (we were ripped off by one of them -- we were inexperienced at that time.)
He explained everything in detail and understood our concerns. He seemed to genuinely have the customer's interest at heart.
We have a new plumber we can trust. Enough said. Thank you, Sean and team! -

Definitely deserves 5 stars! Our kitchen sink was plugged & living with woman, no one could seem to get it unplugged. I yelped really quick a plumbing service & instantly was drawn to courtesy plumbers because they had a ton of great reviews only. I usually hate yelling services but I was in desperate need bc the kitchen sink looked disgusting! I called and within 1 hour exactly our plumber cory, who was very kind, had come, fixed the problem & left. On top of that I was originally quoted 110$ over the phone however Cory advised me that because I found then through yelp I got 10% off. That was very nice and unexpected. Ill definitely be calling courtesy plumbers again, you just got yourself a new happy customer :)

First ever Yelp review and it's warranted! Courtesy Plumbing was so great in their promptness, knowledge, attention to detail, and overall friendliness.
Sorry for the late review JASON, but the holidays keeps you pretty busy up until the new year. I called Courtesy Plumbing on Monday, 11/21/11 to schedule an appointment. They said they could have someone stop by later that same day to check out our problem. We were greeted by JASON [smiling] and introducing himself and his company. I told him that we had water leaking from the kitchen ceiling. He started by listening, through the drywall, to the water spraying out of our broken pipe. He pinpointed the location of the problem and carefully cut through our ceiling drywall and found the leak in one try!
He advised me that our copper pipes were getting too old and recommended us to have it repiped soon. He also recommended an alternative to copper repiping, in flexible pex tubing. He was very knowledgeable in his craft. He continued to cut out our old copper fittings and replaced them with new ones, within 30 minutes he was finished. He cleaned up his mess, put everything back to where it was before, took out his tools, retested and reinspected the pipe again, and then cleaned up a little bit more.
JASON was very thorough and polite. He gave us our bill and it was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Courtesy Plumbing for all your home plumbing needs. It was a great experience, something I dreaded before, but now I will be using them in the future; I even recommended them to my neighbor who also had a great experience with them. -

This review is a long time coming. Holidays, and all that, kinda kept me from writing this. Also I wanted to wait a period of time to see how the finished work was and make sure there weren't any issues that cropped up later.
Back in early December, in what had to be one of the coldest weeks here in SoCal, our water heater unceremoniously died over night. On that Sunday morning I was slapped with the cold, hard fact that indeed, there was no hot water. No matter how long I let the water run, turning the faucet all the way to hot, there was no hot water.
I've dealt with hot water heaters before. This dead water heater I had fixed before. And before that, I had replaced. Not a fun task, trust me. I can do stuff around the house, plumbing I absolutely dislike.
Now, at this point, I've now sworn off Rheem/GE water heaters. Only 2yrs into service, of this water heater, the thermal coupler gave out. Rheem/GE sent me a replacement part under warranty. Now, only 2yrs later, 4yrs into the service of this unit, it's the same problem. There is only a 6yr warranty. In another 2 yrs I'll be out of luck should there be another failure and I'd be stuck having to replace it on another frigid, December weekend.
Thank God these guys at Courtesy Plumbers were available. After a little research on Yelp, these guys looked like a good bet. The fact that they were local was a big plus for me- along with the fact that they were available on Sunday. After coming home from church I called and was able to leave a message for a call back. I received one less than an hour later. After a brief chat with Rick he said he'd drop by to check things out as soon as he was done with another customer.
Rick was knowledgable, informative and polite answering all of my questions. We even talked over the possibility of changing to a tankless system. I decided It wasn't the best option for the house at this time. With his visit we agreed that the best option was to just replace the unit with another traditional water heater. Though, I no longer trusted this water heater manufacturer and did not want to have another failure during a cold spell. Rick recommended another brand that I agreed on, Bradford & White.
Monday came and though there was an issue of how the water heater was going to be replaced, Rick took care of it and installed the new water heater. He drained the old one, swapped the water heater, took care of all the connections, the flume and even added a pan for the water heater to sit in. Just a little insurance if there were to be a leak. The completed work was clean and neat- professional.
Great service, helpful and thorough. I highly recommend these guys. Nothing like a nice, hot shower on a cold day. Things we take for granted. Here it is, 2 months later, and the Bradford & White is going great. -

La Mirada, CA
These plumbers may be courteous, but that does not make them honest! I was happy with their promptness and availability on the weekend, however, I feel that they take advantage of people in subtle ways that the average person would not notice. They started out with a good quote and ended up trying to tack on more as they went. My biggest gripe is that they try to do as little as possible to get the job done instead of being thorough. Think poke a hole through a clogged drain so that it seems to drain, but you will be calling them back in a few months when that small hole they poked clogs again.
Long Story:
I was really psyched when I found this local plumbing company with about 150 5 star reviews. I couldn't believe it. All my fears of plumbers ripping me off subsided, so I gave them a call. It was a Saturday, so I was pleased to find out that they weren't going to charge extra for the weekend and they gave me a quote of $130 to clear a main line drain using a clean out plug.
The surprises started when they arrived before their scheduled time. I guess this was OK, except the job was at a local apartment that I manage and I wasn't there yet. The tenant called and let me know they were there and that they can't find the clean out plug. When I explained that the main clean out plug was in the bathroom, the price jumped to $230.
I got there 15 minutes later and was glad to see they hadn't started work yet. Explained to them that 5 years ago some other plumbers cleaned out the mainline going through a roof vent. They didn't seem to believe me and even went so far as to say they already tried going through the roof and couldn't because there were too many kinks in the pipe. Really! How the heck did they get up on the roof and try to snake it that fast? Their main snake is too heavy to even get up there. Later on after carefully watching video footage of the mainline I saw the roof vent pipe coming straight down into the mainline. Granted that the roof vent pipe is pretty small at first, but I know there exist expanding cutters that could do the job. When I asked if they had expanding cutters, the main plumber said there was no such thing.
The plumber shows me a big set of cutters with two blades and explains that normally they would use those to clear out a mainline and cut the roots, but since my clean out is in the bathroom and there are too many bends, they will only be able to use a single blade cutter. I didn't argue with that since I snaked that clean out before. The only problem was that I wasn't looking when they started snaking the drain, and when they were done and pulled out the snake, there was no cutter on the end. The plumber realized his dilemma and tried to pass off his misstep as the cutter broke off in the pipe. I know this could happen, but you definitely would feel something when it happens and given the plumber's lack of genuine surprise, I don't believe him. The drain wasn't actually clogged at the time (it cleared the night before), and there were only a few tiny roots wrapped around the end of their thick snake (11/16").
The plumber talked me into sending a camera down the pipe to see what is the root of the problem. I agreed since this is the second time the main line clogged in the last 6 months. The price quoted at $175 was below the average of $200 I was prepared to pay, so I went along. My main issue here is that the plumber had already decided that the goal would be to install an outside clean out so that he could put his big cutters into the pipe and make future work easier. That's fine, except he wanted to charge $1000 to install an outside clean out where he found a pipe fitting outside that was already there to support a clean out. Meaning there might already be a clean out and all I have to do is dig a couple of feet to find out and if there is just a cap on the pipe I might as well install the clean out myself at that point. He didn't even bother suggesting that we dig to see if there is a clean out or cap, so you know he is trying to milk the situation.
While the plumber was going into the pipe and showing me on the screen what it looks like, he saw some roots early on in the iron pipe and he assumed that they were just there from when he pulled his snake out since roots shouldn't be growing through iron pipes. Later on after reviewing the recorded video I realized that those roots are really growing into the pipe because they are hanging from the top of the pipe and pointing straight down. I suspect a nearby ficus tree that has been growing very well in the last few years made its way into the drain and that is why we are having all these problems, but the plumber brushed this off and focused on the clean out plug instead because it was easy money.
I think the plumber purposely withheld information to do less work and to charge more money, and I feel duped for trusting them. -

We recently moved into a new home that the previous residents didn't take care of very well. We've been repairing things as necessary and finally decided that the minor annoying plumbing issues needed to prioritized upon the discovery of a leaking outdoor pipe underneath a pile of scrap lumber that had been left behind. I gave Courtesy Plumbing a call and the very nice woman who answered the phone sent Jason out to do a quote within a few hours. The quote was very reasonable to me, $700 to repair four sinks (three faucets and a pipe), a bath tub faucet, and the leaking outdoor pipe, and I decided to schedule the repairs for two days from then. On repair day, Jason arrived on time, was extremely professional and didn't try to do any sort of "up sale" or tack ons when it came time for billing. I'm very happy and hope that I never again have a reason to call them but will definitely will if I do.

There is really nothing worse than plumbing problems. I mean, how many of us normal people really know anything about water pipes, water lines, etc.? I sure as hell don't.
This past weekend, my toilet was clogged and everytime I would flush, take a shower, or turn the faucet on, water would come leaking out into my garage and stinking up my place. How is a bachelor like me going to bring some lady friends over when it smells like a dumpster? I was getting so frustrated when I couldn't fix it myself, it was like my house was on its period, yuck!
I turned to yelp for help and courtesy plumbers came up. They came very quickly, did their thing, and explained the problem. The price was magnificent, the workers were amazing and courteous, and top of that, they gave me a 10% yelp discount.
If you ever need plumbing help, do yourself a favor and call courtesy plumbers. Face it, there's things that you can do and things that you can't and should leave to the care of highly qualified professionals.

The responded quickly. My husband called them at 10am and they were out at our house by 1pm that same day. Their quote was reasonable based on other prices we researched and the guy that came was nice and polite.
Overall, I'd recommend them as a plumber who can fix any plumbing emergency! -
Review from Alex O.
Los Angeles, CA
*We had been first time homeowners a week prior to this happening.
There is a lot of stress that comes with being first time homeowners. In the past when any issues rose, we would just call the apartment manager to fix. But now, we're fully responsible for anything and everything that happens on the property so stress is a natural occurrence.
Our first major issue of the new house happened when the toilets and showers in both of our bathrooms decided to regurgitate everything back to us. It's scary watching the water rise instead of drain!
We first thought that maybe we should try to fix it ourselves to save money. But something just told me that we should call in plumbers. Oh great, another stress inducer: finding honest and knowledgeable service that won't rip you off because of your inexperience.
We narrowed our search down to two plumbing companies. The first offered a really low rate to clear out our main line but they also carried rather unfavorable reviews. The other didn't show their rates but had really high, positive reviews. Guess who I decided to call? I'm not saying Courtesy Plumbers comes at premium but to me it's more about quality than quantity; especially if your bathroom components are threatening to flood your house.
The guys at Courtesy Plumbers promptly came on time. They were every bit professional, knowledgeable, informative, and most importantly, honest with me. These traits to me are very important when I look for service. Professionalism means they're serious about what they do. Being knowledgeable means they know what they're doing. I like to know what's going on so passing over information to me is a key. And there's no replacing good old fashioned honesty. As a matter of fact, when they told me how much it was going to cost to clear out the main line, it was just slightly higher than the other guys. I'm very happy with my decision to call them.
Inexperienced homeowners and regular homeowners with plumbing needs: do yourself a favor and call Courtesy Plumbers. Hopefully, I won't need plumbing services again anytime soon. But if i do, at least now I have one I can trust. -

"Courteous" doesn't do these guys justice. The should change their name to "The Absolute Best Plumbers in Town."
The guy gave it too us straight, didn't try to nickel and dime us for a drippy bathtub faucet. He had to leave and come back 3 times to get the right supplies from Home Depot, because our bathtub was "tricky" and din't charge us extra. You can trust these guys to do a great job and will call them again for any future work. -

The plumbers actually fit the company name.
So far, we've had a few services by them and the experience have been nothing but excellent. Lewis installed 2 clean-outs a few months ago, and this time I needed to work on my fireplace. It's a small job, basically to extend the gas pipe 12 inches. The plumber, Rick, was very helpful and thorough. I'm pretty handy around the house so this didn't seem too difficult to me, but just to be on the safe side, I asked him to do it. As it turned out, the job was pretty straightforward but Rick did show me a few things and explained some issues that I may not have otherwise figured out (at least quickly). He did the first part and it passed inspection, I will need to connect the gas pipe to my fancy schmancy dual-pipe burner. Rick taught me all the steps and left me the necessary material so that I can just do it myself.
Overall, I'm very very satisfied with the service.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Great Service. On-time. Very professional. I have two simple plumbing issues. One Removing a Tub Spout and the other was changing valve pipe on my faucet. Jason was very helpful in explaining all the stuffs that need to be changed. He also showed me some tricks in taking out a valve. I would give them a 5 star if not for the cost. I believe the cost is rather expensive. I was charged $225 for half an hour of work. Replacement Units with markup of 50% from Home Depot I would say about $50. Thus I was paying $175 for half an hour of work. Thus, the hourly rate is about $350. Well, you got a pay to run business. That's the only bad thing.

This company is quick to respond. The technician was professional. I was very impressed until I was quoted over 3k for a slab leak repair so decided to give another comapany a call for a 2nd estimate. The 2nd company quoted me 1k so I went for it. The job was completed within 4 hrs, the workmanship exceeded my expectations and I saved over 2k. I'm taking away 3 stars for being way over priced.

I really can't say enough good things about Courtesy Plumbers. I'm blown away by their speed and responsiveness as well as the quality and price!!!
I called and left a message tonight at 9:07 PM and received a call back exactly 20 minutes later. I thought for sure I wouldn't hear anything until the morning at least. They said they could come out tonight or tomorrow morning, whichever I preferred. I asked what the charge would be to come out tonight and they said it wouldn't be any extra. WOW! We really wanted our kitchen sink fixed as soon as possible (since our failed attempt with draino didn't work) so we were happy to have someone come tonight. I thought that it would cost an arm and a leg to have someone come ASAP, so this was a welcome surprise!
Jeff and John showed up at our house about 40 minutes later (amazing!) and were so professional and very friendly. Jeff told us exactly what needed to be done, at a very reasonable price, without nickel and diming us, and very quickly at that! An hour later, they were on their way, and everything is working perfectly. And Jeff fixed the shoddy job that the previous plumber had done so that these issues won't happen again.
I highly recommend Courtesy Plumbers for all of your plumbing needs!!!!! Thanks guys!!!! :-) -

I was fully expecting to be told they were already booked up for the week, but I called yesterday and had Rick come out today. TODAY! Wow, that is what I call service. I didn't even realize they have evening and weekend hours since I am used to most companies being Mon - Fri, 8 - 5.
I got a call when he was on his way, which was awesome. It was even before the window of time I was given. Rick came to the door, completely professional, and went right to work.
I had a drippy bathtub faucet and it has been dripping,...oh let's just say for a year now. It was light at first, but it had gotten progressively worse to the point where it reminded me of Chinese water torture.
He spent a good 45 minutes trying to go with Plan A (the cheaper and easier route.) I think I was ready for Plan B about 30 minutes into it, LOL. But he explained what Plan B consisted of, how much time it would take and how much it would cost. I gave him the green light.
He was here for FOUR HOURS and he worked his butt off. He showed me each step as he worked on it and encouraged me to take pictures to show my husband. So in the end, we got a brand new water valve, new copper connectors and all new hardware. He was super nice and friendly the entire time he was here and cleaned up everything when he was done.
I really cannot say enough good things about this company and will be recommending them to anyone and everyone who asks me if I know of a good plumber.
THANK YOU RICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

Today I called Courtesy Plumbing based on the reviews from yelp. I called around 2:30pm, they had a tech Corey come by around 4:05pm. talk about quick service.
I wasn't sure what was wrong with my line, but I know my father had told me the line gets backed up a couple times a year. The tech told me he would try to do a few tricks before removing the toilet to use a machine snake because it would save some money for me. Watched him do everything he could then he did what he had to do and fixed the problem.
Before he left I asked if they did garbage disposal installs. Luckily they did, he let me watch step by step because I wanted to learn how to do it and he was very helpful. He was done before 6pm and on his way. This means he took a look at the problem in my restroom solved it and installed my new garbage disposal in less than two hours. From the other service my father used to use, this is record time. Thanks Courtesy Plumbers! -

I was a bit skeptical about all the great reviews, but I found that Courtesy Plumbers lived up to it.
The shower needed a small hardware fix & the slow flowing toilet was augured. Tom was very professional & worked quickly. He explained everything I needed to know before doing the work.
The price was reasonable when compared to previous charges that I've paid with other companies.
Tom was fabulous. I would certainly use them again & would recommend this company. I'm very happy with this plumbing experience. -

Wow! They came on a Friday at 8pm. The rate to come out on that time and day was amazing. I even left them a tip. Other plumbers were charging a lot more to come at that time of day.
Thanks Cory! You da man! ... Ben "AlhambraComputerServices.com" -

Thank you fellow Yelpers for this find and helpful reviews! My boyfriend put me in charge of finding a new plumber, since the plumber we used before did not come out after 5pm and on weekends. We had some kind of clogged drain, so we needed someone to come by after we got out of work. I have no idea what to look for when searching for plumbers, and Yelp helped out a lot! So I did my usual 4 - 5 star search, and that's how I found Courtesy Plumbers.
I called Courtesy Plumbers on Friday morning, and they were able to come out at 5:30pm. Brownie points for coming after 5pm and on weekends! We didn't need to leave work early or take a day off, and that was greatly appreciated. They were actually early and waiting in front of our house when we got home. I can't tell you exactly what the problem was, other than the sink was clogged/leaking, or what they did to fix it. My boyfriend will have to add that on his review. It took them, maybe an hour or so to fix the problem. They did give us a 10% Yelp discount, which helped out. Love discounts! There was also a 60 day warranty included, just in case it clogs again. Everything seems to be working well now. We would recommend them. Hopefully we won't need to call them again, but if we have any other plumbing issues in the future, we know who to call. Their magnet is on fridge. -

Another great YELP find...! Thanks fellow Yelpers for pointing me in the direction of Courtesy Plumbers.
After having my shower valve brake on Monday, I called Courtesy Plumbing for a service quote. I called and requested an evening appointment to accommodate my work schedule and was nervously waiting to hear that they would not be able to accommodate or that it would cost much more to have someone come after 5pm. Well, neither one of those two things happened so I was pleased that we were off to a good start.
From the moment Tom (the tech) arrived, he was friendly, polite and very thorough in his evaluation of the problem. He explaining what needed to be replaced and even had the replacement parts in his van. He made the repair quickly, he tested the new shower valve and even made sure he cleaned up his work area after he was done working.
I was very impressed with the service provided by Courtesy Plumbing from beginning to end. I would highly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to call on them for any other plumbing repairs.
Thank you Tom & Courtesy Plumbing. -

Had the good fortune of having the owner of Courtesy Plumbing, Jeff, and two more gentlemen come out to inspect and unblock our kitchen drain.
My experience with Courtesy Plumbing was first rate from making my appointment to receiving my receipt after service.
Once Jeff and his crew arrived, they asked necessary questions as to how/what type of blockage I had and went to the pains of speaking with my neighbors to better diagnose the root of the problem. The crew immediately set to work and unclogged the drain which had been causing problems for months.
The small details of Courtesy Plumbing's service set them apart. In doing his consultation, Jeff acquired hints that guided him to examine the piping the landlord had installed, and he discovered that the 'trap' for the drain had been installed backwards and had been causing all types of problems. Needless to say, Jeff and his crew made the necessary repairs and were done in less than 20 minutes.
The appointment time was 7 pm, and the crew showed up at 7:20; however, they were coming from Covina to Gardena, so just the trip alone was an effort.
Amazing service and professionalism. I will recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing service.
Make sure you as customer mention yelp for the 10% discount. -

A friend accidentally flushed her cell phone down our toilet over the weekend and so I needed a plumber quickly on a Sunday. I looked up a plumber on Yelp and I came across Courtesy Plumbers. I read through their great reviews and decided to give them a call. Cory came out and within an hour he had removed the toilet and had managed to get the phone out of the toilet trap. He reinstalled our toilet and clean up the work area....all within an hour! I received excellent service from this company and also found their job cost very reasonable. I am happy to say that I have found our new plumbing company. I highly recommend them!

Knowing that I would need work done on my home, I was successful in finding an a/c repair person on this site...... so I did the same thing for the plumber. A week ago at approx 9p, I'm in my bathroom & I felt water at my feet. Thank goodness the leak would happen only when I ran water. the next day, my mom called Courtesy Plumbers. They were willing to come out within 60-90 mins. My mom asked them to come in the afternoon instead and they did.
The specialist told my mom what the cause of the problem was and fixed it. Because I had located them on this site, they were able to give us a discount. I'll be calling them back if I need them again.
The only drawback, it the specialist showed up in a pick-up truck that did not have the company's name on it. If they should red this, I ask that they invest in that. -

Jason came over right on time, same-day service, determined that my kitchen sink had not, in fact, exploded, and there was just one loose pipe connector. He fixed it quickly and didn't charge me anything for the visit. How awesome is that??
This was on that insanely rainy day a couple of weeks ago, by the way, when he would've had a perfect excuse to be in a bad mood and charge me up the waz for coming out.
Thanks, guys!
