You'd never imagine there would be a beautiful re-surfaced court behind the store front there on Wilshire and 25th. With lights for night play and cameras for watching your strokes, no less!
These guys take tennis seriously while always making it fun. I take lessons at CS, I play live-ball, I hit with juniors, I use the ball machine, I do night clinics. I've recommended friends who also thought it was great too.
John Neeter, Ethan Wolferman, and Sean Bertram are who I have worked with most. They're great and complement each other well.
And once in a while you get to see real hitters out there drilling for upcoming tournaments or collegiate Division 1 matches.
Jon Arend, the trainer for tennis players, is of singular quality. People don't realize how important it is for tennis to be flexible and explosive at once. Few trainers know how to train for this: rolling out, yoga stretching, kettle bells, etc. Jon improved my tennis as much as anyone simply through getting stiff muscles to relax -- kick servers, and two-handed backhanders, take note!
You don't need six courts, hell, you don't even need two. Drill down, play up! -

Wife got me a series of lessons for 40th. Never played b4, didn't even have racquet. Didn't matter. Gave me basics in a smart, patient fun way. Totally understood I just wanted to play. They have serious programs for youngsters where discipline and competitiveness im sure is part of it, but my instructor (Ethan) had a great laid back attitude while still really teaching me well. Also have really fun adult 'clinics' where u can run some drills with players at same skill level. I'd strongly, strongly recommend these guys to anyone at any age. Great location too.
PS For parents (im thinking of getting my guy in once he turns 5 or 6): the place just got taken over by new owner who's clearly interested in building something significant -- something that can really turn out serious players. I get the sense they're looking to be, and actually seem qualified to be, champion builders. -

The best tennis experience and coaching for the entire family. Court strength is not just any tennis facility...it's "THE TENNIS FACILITY". Talented tennis instructors with tremendous knowledge of the game. The best place to learn, practice, and improve your tennis game.... from beginners, intermediate and advanced players. The facility provides training for some of the top ranked Junior tennis players in the country. My kids train and take private lessons at Court Strength Tennis & Fitness and I play in a tennis clinic with 3-5 other moms twice a week. I highly recommend Court Strength to anyone who loves the game of tennis!

4 of us moms play one morning a week, and it is something we all look forward to so much. Ethan is our teacher, and he is a perfect combination of laid back intelligent teacher who motivates us while keeping things fun. Highly recommend!

I've been in and around the tennis world for a long time and these guys are fantastic! They are extremely knowledgeable and who you want to work with regardless of your skill level.
