I had a fantastic experience when I shopped here, quite some time ago now, enough that I wanted to come back and review! For those of us who are generously endowed, having a well-fitting bra isn't just wise, it's imperative. Coup de Foudre know their stuff. I've worked in lingerie shops before, and appreciated their frankness when things didn't fit quite right, and of course also appreciated their superlative measuring skills and knowledge of which brands would work best. I think I tried on a dozen, maybe two dozen bras- nevermind that I got there right before closing time. I was never rushed, and in the end I found some absolutely fantastic bras which are still going strong months later. I loved the advice and open attitude, and the complete lack of an up-sell- if anything, the proprietor was surprised when I got two or three bras, instead of just purchasing one.
The prices are high, but no more so than any other shop carrying these high-end, well-made brands. It was like being back shopping in Paris, only with a much more American view towards customer service! Perfect.

I went here last year when I finally decided that I should get sized, I'd been wearing the same bra size my entire adult life and I had a feeling it was wrong. They treated me wonderfully, which is a good thing since I am, erm, gifted, so it took about twenty bras before we found the size for me, and I was pretty depressed when I realized JUST how large of a bra size I was now wearing.
The clerk helping me reassured me that "we'll find a bra that fits you, don't worry." And they did, and I still wear that bra at least once a week. I was sad that a lot of their really sexy pieces wouldn't fit me, though. It was a bit disappointing that I walked out with a plain black bra with all the lacy lovelies on display. That said, they do carry those bras in larger sizes, but just not in mine.
Their wares are not cheap, but they are very well made and they fit, and if you're going to throw money at your wardrobe, BUY A GOOD BRA! I will be back!

Did I ever tell you that I worked at Victoria's Secret? Yeah, it is true. Back when the Tyson's store was all sweet with the white walls and pink carpet and accents. And then, I helped move and re-open the "new" store when the mall did the expansion-- with the room that had a velvet rope on it and the mannequins that were dressed so scandalously that when we cleaned up the first night I found a dollar bill in "Tyra"'s g string.
This store puts Victoria's Secret to shame. Unlike the drugstore perfumey smell that the V store has, Coup has a lovely true floral scent that is not overwhelming. The brands carried here are the best and super high end like Cosabella, Aubade, Chantelle, and Huit. The fabrics used are lace and real, touchable, delectable silk.
So guys and gals get in here for the perfect VDay gift for the lady in your life. Even if it is one of the lingerie bags sold here, she'll love it.

I'm not a girly girl. Until my recent trip to Coup de Foudre I didn't own lingerie I owned underwear. Actually, I still own bras I bought in college (ahem 5 years ago ahem). After realizing that I hated my bras and how my boobs looked in them I booked a "Bra Fitting" with the women at Coup de Foudre.
The customer service is amazing, and they will tell you honestly how a bra fits and looks on you even if it means you end up with some of the less expensive options. This is definitely an expensive place, out of my price range for usual stuff, but for special occasions or to get great customer service and an explanation for how your bra ought to fit they are wonderful. You can walk in, but they recommend you call ahead if you need a "bra fitting" although when I was there on a Monday afternoon I was the only person in the shop.
I love the new bra I purchased and feel a lot more confident about my next trip to buy not-so-pricey items. As it turns out, I'd been wearing the way, way wrong size for years! Hooray for confidence and pretty silky things.

Sexy is as sexy does. And this lingerie boutique is tres sexy.

That brief descirption doesn't come close to describing a shopping experience that is not only sensual for the eyes but also comes with some of the best customer service you'll get while shopping. Valerie understands that her customers are going to be spending plenty on the high quality garments in her store and she skillfully guides them in selecting the right sizes and shapes for themselves or loved ones.
My wife has a slight addiction to the store but Valerie will point out to her when items of her desire might not be performing at their best even though it will impact her sale. This has caused repeat visits by us to her store and ensures that when we leave our growing lingerie collection is a repeat visit as well.

Experience professional and knowledgeable customer service at Coup de Foudre. They offer exquisite European (mainly French) lingerie selected with discriminating tastes -- fabrics, texture, and color.
Sure of my selection, I entered the shop ready to purchase the item I had seen on their website. They suggested I try the set on, just be to sure of the fit, in one of the nicely appointed fitting rooms. (Little did I know that the red carpet in the fitting room was indicative of the royal treatment I would receive.) The shopkeeper indicated that they were available to provide feedback if I so desired. (I did.) Even at the risk of a sale, they gave an objective assessment of the set's fit and then accurately measured and presented styles that best worked for my size, conscious of the variations across brands. (You guessed it. I had selected the wrong size. I did find another item though.)
Courteous, professional service, Coup de Foudre is one of my favorites.
For internet shoppers, their website dynamically reflects the complete inventory of the products in the boutique, so you can be assured of the item's availability.

Thanks to the Yelpers who suggested I go here. The women at the store (the owners?) are WONDERFUL. They are so helpful and you get the sense that they would rather not make a sale if it meant that a woman would walk out of their store with a bra that did not fit like a second skin. I went in twice to try and find foundation garments for my wedding dress and walked out feeling confident that the simple items I purchased would work perfectly. They understand fit in a way that others do not and have me wearing a completely different size than I am used to. I also love them because they laughed when I said I needed Spanx. It's true, I need it, but it was nice of them to laugh. I will definitely return when I have time to be refitted for everyday bras.

I did not know bras could be comfortable. I just reconciled with the fact that this will just be one of the things that suck about being a woman. Victoria Secrets has always been the easy thing; I am not one to spend time looking at lingerie. Know exactly what I am going to get, in, out the door. And it always stretches out funny, etc etc. But here they spend quality time with you, bringing you things that they think will fit, suggestions on what is good, and make you feel super comfortable. Having nice lingerie definitely makes you feel good, and this is the place to do it. It is pretty expensive here, but worth it. I have to echo Yee on the fact they seem to only have selection for larger sizes, but the stuff they have was great.
Four days after I went to this boutique, I tried on the bra. After four hours of wearing it, I experienced shoulder pain. I was extremely upset because the owner had adjusted the straps and told me that this bra fit me: the cups did not pucker, the band was not tight or loose. I don't believe this is the place to go for fitting petite, smaller breasted women. I went to return the bras, however, buyer beware: there is no returns, even on unwore merchandise. This is in violation of their return policy posted on their website. (On their receipt, however, it says store credit only, no returns). I had to get store credit of $150 even though I did not wear one of the bras I purchased. I am reporting this case to the Better Business Bureau. This is poor customer service. I hate the idea that after a professional fitting, I can own bras that cause discomfort. Ridiculous.

Super pricey, but the best lingerie shop in DC! Great variety of sizes. The bras last forever. And even though it's expensive, the staff is super friendly and helpful. Especially with sizing.

great for bra fitting and excellent selection of brands! but very pricey with few sales and often can find better deals online. seem to only have selection for larger cup sizes but still very good personal advice and choices are found here.
