Countrybrook will always have a special place in my heart as it is where I rented my first apartment all to myself. It's been my home for the past 2 years and I've loved every day that I lived there.
The area is quiet, safe and the people are pretty friendly. I never had any issues with gangstas, wanna be gangstas, parking, car thefts, etc. My unit was the perfect size for me and came with everything I needed: washer/dryer, walk in closet, a/c, dishwasher, track lighting (!), and an oven that never let me down on the many nights I spent baking.
The management here have been nothing but great to me. They always addressed my maintenance requests the same day or the next day at the latest. When I broke out of my lease early, they helped me find a new tenant to take the unit as soon as I moved out so that I wouldn't have to pay extra rent or get penalized. As for my deposit, they only took out a small chunk for cleaning and I got the majority back.
Leaving this place breaks my heart. It was my sanctuary, escape, and the first home I made. But more significantly, it was the place of so many priceless memories: amusing & loud dinner parties, 3 am swimming excursions in the dead of winter with an old ex, drunken girls' nights, late night baking frenzies driven by horrendous breakups, and a little haven for a sweet, budding relationship.

Lived here for 3 years. Maintenance issue were always addressed, friendly office staff. Great amenities (4 pools, gym, covered parking , w/d, fireplace). I loved that it is so close to the light rail and close to the freeway 280/680. I just moved back to San Jose from Las Vegas and I am actually considering moving back to Countrybrook.
After recently moving into a 2-bedroom apartment within the same complex, my rating actually goes up because of the good experience I had with the leasing office. Gabrielle was more than accommodating with my weird situation - I had a month left in my 1-bed apartment lease, but I wanted to snag the great lease pricing they had on a 2-bedroom apartment. She was willing to work with me on getting the new apartment with the least hassle and least amount of money as possible. The process was orderly and stress free for the most part.
