My wife likes this place a lot, it's very country if your in to that sort of thing :)

They do have a great kids science store which has some really cool stuff on the cheap.

This is the sweetest spot in Bothell to be sure, with all the chain restaurants and stores around it's nice to see they're keeping with some unique local charm.  If you're looking for a unique gift and a pleasant shopping experience here's the place.

There's a shop for just about everyone, an old time Candy store, garden store, import furniture, a specialty Children's boutique (Bella and Max) and an outstanding toy store (Toys that Teach).  Housewares, coffee, wine shop, and a day spa.  And yes, there's also a couple antique stores to go treasure hunting.

Kids love feeding the ducks, chickens and peacocks, and bunnies, playground and train ride, really too many things to list.  Also don't miss their Farmer's Market fridays 1:00-6:00 from April-October, Harvest festival in the fall, and Christmas event where Santa flies in overhead.

I go there anytime I need to find unique gifts , I like being able to support the local businesses while avoiding the dreaded mall experience.

Oh, and just ignore Paulie G, who for some reason felt the need to give an unfair bad review for a place that is completely not suited for him, by reading it I don't think he even turned in the parking lot.  No you won't find a computer gaming store or headshop in the village, so if that's what you're into it's not the place for you, but for everyone else, check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

I actually remember Bothell before Country Village. NO, I am not that old, I just have the ability to meld my mind w/ the memories of people who *are* that old.

In the height of "country cute" owning the home decorating and bazaar world, Country Village opened. It's stayed a mainstay In Bothell every since. Stores have come and gone, but it keeps it's "country" charm and unique stores.

There is certainly something for most everyone here. Tea houses, a spa, bead world, formal shop, antiques, 'down home' diner, and any little myriad of shops that fits somewhere in all and none of the above categories simultaneously.

They've maintained a very quaint, if not sometimes confusing by car, park like, country atmosphere all these years.

The "free range" ducks, chickens, roosters and bunnies thrill even my pre-teen kids when they are spotted romping about.

It's seen better days in spots, but is always packed on weekends, and always a good time browsing around.

On the plus side, I did find out my Looney Tunes drinking glass collection is worth upwards of $20 a glass now! =) But I wouldn't part w/ my Speedy Gonzalez for all the tea at your tea house bub!

A mental vision comes to mind when I think of days gone by and my first visit to Country Village in my youth.  The place seemed bigger then, of course I was a lot shorter then, well, not all that much shorter...

Somethings do not change with time, here, well stores have come and gone, with the passing of time, but the mood is this the same.  Think English fair meets the Pacific North West, prior to Starbucks coming to town.

While I wouldn't consider this the "country" anymore, once those condos are finished to the South, this could be a new Urban center for the "country" challenged.

Plenty of parking, well mostly because no one was there, granted it was a Sunday...

Plenty of ducks to feed, the kiddos had a great time toss'n the stale bread we had brought along.  Heck, so I did I....

Take a ride on the "train" which in actuality is a go-cart pulling a few wagons dressed up like a train, for $3.00, you get your money's worth and then some....

I love that spotted chicken along the road!!!!! If that does not have more character than all the other strip malls in Bothell, I will eat it!

Yes, there are many soccer moms with their kids, and senior citizens shopping here. There is a duck pond right in the middle, and a small scale train that runs in good weather..

Country Village is an eclectic collection of shops from day spas, to antiques, candy and gifts. Its not the most testosterone filled place for guys, but it is interesting enough to keep them out of trouble if they only occasionally visit.

One thing to note, the shops are in several clusters, and there are some covered walkways, but be prepared for the weather!

I love this place! Great food (Stella Mia, Country Cafe and Papa's Place), unique shops that you will not find at a mall or any other shopping location; ducks and chickens all over the place.
Country Blend has the latest in handbag (shh... knock offs!) My Sister's Closet is packed with designer clothes, Amai Day Spa will top off your day with a green coffee body scrub! Mmmmm...
Paula's Pepper Jelly has become a staple in our house.
What else... Belly Dance Classes, Art Classes, and a traditional tea room. I have been there several times and I love to see what has changed. I hear a bead store and a BBQ place are opening this fall. I guess I will be going back!

I think that Country Village is so stinkin' cute and  a really great place to take kids and do some shopping, especially if you are looking for something unique and not run of the mill.

I feel bad that I was raised in Kirkland (long enough ago that Bothell was a MAJOR country town full of farms) and didn't know this place was here until about 4 or 5 years ago when we moved to Bothell.  It's been around for something like 20++ years!

I discovered it one day when I was driving by with my then 1 1/2 year old and the giant 20 foot chicken caught my eye and we turned in.  It was a pleasant surprise to find this big shopping complex, off the beaten path, that had some of the coolest little shops (I'll write separate reviews).

What I really enjoy about the village is that it is a about a 5 minute drive from our house and we can always knock out a few fun filled hours here, especially with the kids.

The girls love the duck pond and in the Spring it's fun to see all the baby ducks and bunnies running around.  Be careful though, if you are one of the first ones there in the morning you'll get swarmed by ducks if they see a bag in your hand and if it's later in the day you'll toss bread into a pond of full, fat and uninterested ducks.

They've moved the train to the back where the park is.   There was a time when my daughter had to go on that train every weekend, but it's a fun ride and is only $3.50 (you get a deal if you purchase tickets in bulk).  The park is fun and it's in a big open field so the kids can run wild.  The picnic tables are a nice touch and great for grown-ups to sit at and watch the kids.

Top it off with a bag of freshly popped Kettle Korn and you've had a fun little afternoon.

When I've been there it has been a lot of moms but I do see dad's there quite a bit as well.  Maybe I go too much but I've also seen some local celebrities there (sports... music), it's really a fun place to check out.

When I think of Country Village, I think of scrap booking soccer moms driving mini-vans badly with too much time on their hands, old ladies collecting trinkets that will collect dust on shelves until they die, and I think of yuppies that have no idea about country life but yet try to grasp it whenever they can.  There's not much to make up for these images other then the ducks and the chickens.  Even the large chicken statue out front is a nightmarish reminder of what stores will do to attract costumers.  It is almost homage to the general tackiness of the whole place.  When I walk into this place, I really don't feel like I am in a quant country village, I feel like I am in a hokey tourist death trap.

This is the kind of place you really want to love because the atmosphere is outstanding! There are cute little duck ponds and picnic tables throughout the shopping center. All the shops are very quaint and have that 'country feel' about them. It is characterized by the chicken by the street. Indeed there are roaming chickens and roosters throughout the center. Many great shops, not ever enough time!

A quaint shopping village where you feel like youv'e been removed from city life for a bit. Nicely landscaped with ponds, ducks and wide open areas. Train ride and kids area is great.

Adorable country village with cute ducks & pretty (yes, pretty) chickens that waddle around.  The chickens tend to hang near the antique shop near the front, while the ducks are in & around the center pond.  Lots of little shops to browse through, and you will actually find items you will want to purchase and that you can afford!  If you're not into country/antique stuff, you will still find more contemporary items that may suit your taste.  Start your day off at the Country Cafe (I recommend the Eggs Benedict which they serve on their homemade biscuits, & share a side of bacon which they hand-cut here, you also get your choice of country style potatoes or shredded hash browns), then burn off the calories by walking around the village.  There's even a glass blowing studio here you can take classes at.  It reminds me of areas I've visited in Vermont and in the mountains out East.  There's something for everyone here, whether you're a little bit country or a little bit rocknroll.
