As far as chains go, hotel/motels tend to be the most inconsistent of them all. I've stayed at a few Country Inn locations. Some were ok, some weren't. It usually depends on the age of the building and how much time has passed since their last renovation.
At this point in time, this particular Country Inn is probably your best bet in Menomonie. It was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and the staff was friendly. Reliable sources say the same can't be said of the other chains nearby.
