A bit dated in the decor. The rooms are spacious. The exercise room is great with very sturdy equipment and treadmills.

I would not go as far to say that I wouldn't stay at the Country Club Hotel and Spa again, but I'm not so sure it would be my first choice of hotels in the area. That being said, my husband and I were only there for one night so please take that into consideration. The staff was very friendly and our room was ready when we arrived before the official check-in time which was great. I cannot speak for the entire hotel, but the area we were in is in need of some serious updates if they want to stay competitive. The hallways and rooms look like they haven't been touched aesthetically in thirty plus years. Overall the room seemed cleaned except for the chair and couch fabric in the suite sitting area. Lets just say I did not touch them.
Wrap up? Not a bad place to stay but expect it to be outdated. -

We planned to stay at another place at the Lake, but arrived to find it uninhabitable. After a quick Google search, we found this place and couldn't be happier. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the property is great.
I found some reviews online that aren't very complimentary, and I'll be honest: this place isn't the St. Regis. If you're looking for a five star resort and to be waited on hand and foot, this probably isn't the place for you. I'd say it's on par with a Fairfield Inn or Courtyard Marriott.
We stayed in a Jr. Suite (with a king size bed and fold out). All the kids around here seem to love the pool --- and if it's too hot outside, there's an indoor pool as well. We've been using the fitness center, computers, pools.
One tip: There are no DVD players in the room -- only VCRs. I'm not sure what that's about. So...plan accordingly?
Long story short: We'll be back!
