Eggplant mousse with strawberry coulis for an appetizer? I don't know, but it sounds intriguing (never imagined eggplant and strawberry together.) I did not order this though.
Had the tilapia entree which I must say was one of the best Tilapia I've had in a very long time. It was servied with balsamic glaze drizzled on the plate, rice topped with fresh dill, and lemon wedges. The complimentary baguettes were good.
Reasonable prices (I compared the prices for the buckwheat crepes with A La Folie). Entrees $12 to $16. Crepes ~$10. Sandwiches are less.
Cozy and romantic ambience with a laid-back feel. Very bare-bones French, feels like a cafe, but with white tables, tied linen napkins, white tableclothes, and roses. Made me think of it being Buena Vista Bistro's dressier sister with some menu items looking more authentic French.
Service was good.
I would return and try more things.
I really like this place. It is small, but nice. Nothing pretentious, but fresh flowers on the tables and clean. I get the feeling that it is family run, or if not, it feels like a family place. Breakfast/Brunch has been good every time I go, and Dinner is great without being too expensive. They are happy to recommend things and the food seems to be cooked with care and feeling. This is a rarity in miami, so get it while you can.
A little piece of Paris smack dab in the middle of Miami Shores. Don't let the office building location put you off - the service is warm and friendly, and the food is reliably delicious. I've mostly been there for lunch, when I've enjoyed soups, sandwiches (like the tasty chicken with melted brie cheese) and crepes (light and almost crispy, these crepes are made with whole wheat flour and have just the right amount of filling). Flowers and other small touches add color and elegance to the simple, classic decor. This has become a regular stop for me.
a piece of france in miami shores! Great Service! Great Food! i had the veal... wow! we went for my friends bday he is a big fan of french food! He and all parties invited total of 7 people loved the food and restaurant. The wine we had was sooo good, the escargot ( best i have ever had in Miami) also a great place for a romantic dinner!
We just got back from France. We visited Paris and Nice. The week we returned we were told about this great French restaurant. It's a small place about 10 tables. Very simple yet elegant. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Our only regret was that we ate too much of that delicous bread. Great wines and reasonable prices. It was like we were back in the Cote d' Azur. Will have to return to give it that 5th star.
