There really isn't much you can write about Costco gas except this location is ALWAYS packed. I don't think I've ever been here when there hasn't been incredibly LONG lines.
But the price of gas is cheaper than most places in town and the gas is good quality. So if your time isn't money then this place is your place for good gas. I just couldn't give it 5* because of the ridiculously long line I endure every time I get gas here.
If you don't have a Costco American Express then you have to pay with your debit card or a Costco cash card, no credit cards here. But most people know this.
I know there is probably nothing they can do about the lines short of putting 10 more pumps in, but hmmm that's an idea. I've turned around many times not having enough time to wait in those long lines.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0May 2, 2014Previous reviewWe use this Costco because it's on our side of town but it is obviously the busiest one!! What can I say Costco is my favorite place to do big shopping but also can be expensive. You can fall into that trap of buying more than you need.
I just hate it though when you find something you really like and they quit carrying it. Their gas and their propane is really affordable but you need to go early because the lines are really long.
The store is always clean and staff is really friendly.
Also you can get a great deal on lunch at their snack bar pizza and hot dogs are great. - 475280Mar 8, 2024Updated review2 check-ins
Nothing like a quick trip to Costco in the morning. Parking is no problem at 10am. I observed a large patient crowd of dedicated Costco faithful waiting at the entrance, then a steady stream of courteous customers all being greeted by the two friendly workers as the overhead roll up door opened. It orderly and fun to watch. I let the crowd thin before I made my way in.
Costco doesn't have a dress code a few of these shoppers must of been in a rush, they were still wearing their pajamas. I was there just for a few items. The store is really impressive when it opens the new items are out the bakery has been busy all night
fresh cakes breads cookies all out some are still warm and it smells so good. I was surprised, the rotisserie chickens were already out too. I picked one up. This part of the store gets your appetite
going.
I picked up the few items we needed and made up to the front checkouts this early just a little waiting, that's when I noticed the Hot Dog sign. There was almost no one in line
It was only 10:40 not to early for
A Costco dog. I went over to kiosk
Paid my $1.62 the friendly employee asked if I wanted onions, they come separately now I declined he gave me a fresh dog and a cup for my Diet Pepsi I went over to the condiments and filled bum up with French's mustard I was carrying a masterpiece.
I did a 360' and headed for the door.
Costco early is was a great experience. There was a line getting in, not a good sign but I didn't need a cart so I slipped in fast. I started
my route to the frozen food section for the jalapeño poppers bypassing a couple free tasty samples, picked up my poppers headed to the next isle for
Cottage cheese one last stop for carb smart tortillas. Store was crowded with shoppers, well stocked
and clean as usual. I was headed for the check out in record time when my phone rang it was my wife (OH NO) I had to answer shes the one who sent me in the first place. Blueberry's she had to have BLUEBERRIES. I reversed course and headed for the fresh produce cold box. I passed a few more delicious free samples I resisted the temptations to stop. Arrived at the cold box and found freshly stocked beautiful Blueberry's right in front no problem. So I'm headed back to the front of
store passing more tantalizing free
samples my hands are full I couldn't stop even for the pecan clusters. As I got closer to the check out I could see the lines of shoppers with full carts. I only had 4 items and no cart, I needed HELP just then I made eye contact with a cheerful worker who
was getting ready to open she waved me over it was like the Red Sea opening for me in a sea of shoppers and full carts. My polite fun checker smiled and said "you were lucky"
I agreed, thanked them and headed for the exit, showed my receipt to the pleasant door clerk and made my getaway. Every employee I encountered had a smile and was a pleasure as always. I got soaked heading back to my truck from our much needed rain but made it home before the 49er kickoff. - Jan 26, 2024
Our usual stop when driving back to CA from Las Vegas.
Quality/Quantity - Expensive gas prices, in relation to other Costco locations and of course compared to LV gas prices.
Decent selection of microbrews, but only one local; see pictures.
Saw my first Costco food court cookie in LV, they have it here also.
Looks like all Costcos have it now.
Atmosphere -
Consistent.
Open 7 days a week from 9:30am or 10am to 6pm or 8:30pm, see picture, Yelp, or their website.
Service - Self service.
Price - Higher than all the other Costcos I shop.
Both the gas prices and beer.
With these prices, I need to start to reconsider if this should continue to be our regular stop...

I recently had a tire emergency. One of my front tires was damaged on the side wall.
Abner was so kind as he informed me that not only could it not be repaired, but that Michelin was no longer making that tire. Meaning that I had to buy Two tires not just one.
Abner & David his manager found tires that were compatible so at least I didn't have to buy four. Also I was given credit for the life left in the tires. It made an expensive purchase much more palatable.
I felt both Abner & David went above & beyond in their service.
I have been buying my tires from Costco for many years and highly recommend them. They have road damage coverage which means ( for those of you who might not know) they measure the mileage left on the tires and give a discount for this on your new tire purchase. Years ago I purchased tires elsewhere and two months in had irreparable tire damage and there was no damage coverage. I won't make that mistake again!
The price point is great. They do not make appointments, it's a first come first serve basis.Helpful 7Thanks 3Love this 5Oh no 0 - Kristy K.Bakersfield, CA02Apr 24, 2024

Flan I could not buy and eat because I was traveling ... see the picture .
So hot in July to eat out but they do have huge ventilators to help people avoid passing out.
Thank God they have a few trees in the parking lot.
The wait for the gas was terrible but it was cheap ha ha
A lot of testing inside but unfortunately I couldn't buy anything especially in this heat. Anything cold it will not travel safely with me. Nice employees overall.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jimmy J.Bakersfield, CA0473Jan 20, 2024

I have always been a fan of good quality products at a fair price. They do have the more high end items which sometimes is good and sometimes is bad because there could be a lower cost option that they don't have. I love the hot dog and soda and also the pizza, I have been a member for many years

I was speaking for my grandma because she doesn't know English and the bagger made a comment with attitude because I answered for her, she wasn't even the one attending us, they need to do better about minding their business.

5 stars for usual Costco. One demerit for long slow lines at Food Court (5:30 PM on a Thursday evening).
