they have their own parking lot.  you'll have to park far from the door and walk though.

If you're comparing Costco food courts to each other.  This is the #1 Food Court.  Why?

Because they make and sell...Gelato Ice Cream.  They have Berry, Stracciatella, and Pistachio.

They have the usual All Beef Hot Dog.  It comes with a Drink and its a 1.50 plus tax.  Its so worth it.

They have chicken and beef bakes.

They have hand Dipped Vanilla Ice Cream on a stick...optional Crushed almonds added.  I ask for it, on half/one side.

You can pretty much find the same things at all Costco Food Courts...except for THIS ONE with the ITALIAN GELATO ICE CREAM!  Enjoy...leave some for me!!!!

I SAID, LEAVE SOME FOR ME!!!!!

this food court needs more seating! too bad they don't sell the bulgugi bake either.

it's kinda hard to beat the prices here. $10 for a whole pizza is a great deal. especially when you can customize it without any additional cost. i usually order a 1/2 pepperoni and sausage, 1/2 combo pie. i'm also a fan of the polish dogs.

Who doesn't love costco for everything that it is?  I mean the prices at the Food Court are amazing and the food is pretty darn good for what you're getting.  I didn't care for the Carne Asada Bake but it's probably because I was expecting a burrito.  It was pretty much a poor man's burrito but good for that standard.

The pizza is always good and the hot dog/soda combo can't be beat.

For the 200th review milestone, I put deep thought into what fancy restaurant I'd go to.  Maybe Gary Danko, Wakuriya, The House, etc.

Then I thought of Milli Vanilli's lip sync'd words:

"You said you didn't need her
    You told her good-bye (good-bye)
    You sacrificed a good love
    To satisfy your pride"

These words came to mind because in the past I turned my nose up to it.  I would shop, checkout and keep my eyes focused on walking towards the two people with the Highlight markers..

My pride told me that I shouldn't, that I couldn't lower my Foie Gras, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Creme Brûlée palate.

"Did you ask if I wanted a hot dog?"  Is it grass fed or Wagyu?  Pizza?  Is it Margherita  neapolitano style thin crust?!?!  Did the person preparing it work under the tutelage of Michael Mina or Joel Robuchon??   I like drizzle.  Is there drizzle involved?

But just like Jay-Z, I'm too old to be frontin.  (Let's pour it on thick). Costco Food stand is spectacular. Here's my menu:

    Pizza:  breathtaking.

    Polish dog: astonishing

    Caesar Salad: remarkable

    Carne Bake: mind boggling

    Very berry sundae: dazzling

For under $10 I got a five course meal.
I can pretend I don't like it just as I pretend I don't like Milli Vanilli.  But I do.

"I guess we gotta blame something.  Blame it on the Rain".

Hooray!  They serve Gelato!!!  BOO!!!!!!  They only ever have one flavor, and it's never chocolate!  WTF!!!  We come to this Costco about once every two weeks, seems like plenty of time to restock the chocolate, right?  They have only had it one time.  Also, the last time I was there I pre ordered a slice of pizza walked up to the window and had to wait for ten minutes for my single slice.  The entire pizza that was already prepared had to be thrown away because it was over cooked.  BURNED BLACK!  Yuck.  It was frustrating that I had to wait because someone wasn't doing their job right.  If they need someone to make their pizza's properly, I am available for part time employment starting today!

Costco food court is a bargain. This is where I go for pizza, hot dog, chicken bake, churros, and frozen yogurt along with a cup of soda when I'm at Costco! The one I don't like is how crowded the food court at this location is! But overall, I've enjoyed my experience at the Costco food court. I have not had any complaints about it. The next time I'm at Costco, I'll definitely come here for something to eat!

$10 for a whole pizza and less than a dollar for soda!?! You definitely cannot beat their prices anywhere that I'm aware of in SF.

Call me gross but I kind of have a crush on Costco and their food court. My three favorites are the chocolate vanilla swirl, the raspberry smoothies, and the pizza.

Costco Food Court you ask? Seriously, when you are craving sustenance after several laps down the food aisles and enduring the slow moving lines through the cash register lanes you'll see why this is oh-so important destination.

Upon fascination of tallying up your grocery bill at the check out, order the hot dog/polish dog combo meal and a dessert of some kind. $1.50 is a good deal. Actually, where can you find a decent meal for that price? They have a short menu, but you cannot go wrong.  You skip through to the front of the line in the food court to the front to pick up your already purchased fast food meal. Comes fresh right out of the kitchen. Some weekends, it's out to Costco just for the hot dog

I'm addicted to Costco food. Up until recently, I could never shop at Costco without a stop at the food "court" for a hot dog or pizza, and maybe even something sweet if I'm feeling indulgent.

Up until recently, that was the case. This food court has helped me break that addiction. It is perpetually crowded with people displaying some of the most repugnant behavior you can imagine for such a situation (chubby teenagers who cut in line; people blocking everything with their carts; EMPLOYEES who let a stagnating line of people turn into a mob even when all of their orders are ready to go).

This is by far the WORST Costco snack bar I have ever been to. I'd bow humbly to anyone who can show me one that is worse.

If you're from San Francisco, and you use Yelp, you should know better.

Have you EVer had a bad experience with the customer service? No , right?! I havent! it really surprises me how friendly costco associates are!
Food is the bEST price you can get anywhere for fast food. pizza and churros being considered fast food here. tables are usually the harder thing to snag but it's not too bad

it's awkward having to sit in extreme close proximity to strangers though. and they can listen in on your every word in conversation

Lunch at Costco? I'm down. You cannot beat the prices Costco has at it's food court nor the experience of strolling around the warehouse. The food court at Costco is, ok. Minus one start for not being amazing. The food at Costco, spectacular, four stars because that makes me a fan. Here's the run down:

Large Cheese, Pepperoni, or Combo Pizza: $9.99

Hot Dog/Polish Dog: $1.50 which includes a fountain drink

    Chicken Bake/Carne Asada Bake: 2.99 or 3.99

    Salad: $3.99

You get the idea. Ridiculously great prices for ridiculously great food. Also, you can phone orders to give them a heads up if your planning for some mini party. I once called to order 6 pizzas, got there, told them I ordered over the phone and paid. 10-15 minutes later depending on how long the pizza takes, you get priority over those who ordered at the food court. Don't blame the workers if they're not the coolest to you, they're getting paid to work and not be your friends.

Beware however if you are waiting for a whole pizza, people will get jealous of you and angry if you get yours before them even though they had been waiting for a while. Life isn't fair, they should've planned to order ahead if they knew they were going to end up eating Costco Pizza!

Last time, got my pizza within 10 minutes of ordering and paying once I got there. Sadly, another guy was upset that I got mine first. Sorry dude, the strong survive, sucks for you!

I love Costco! You can get anything you really need here. I haven't been to the SF Costco in awhile. We were gonna just go for hotdogs. Which I love nice and juicy! Instead I just went for gelato! Gelato for $1.50 they fill up the waffle cone! Where else can you get a big waffle cone with gelato? It was very yummy!

Except their sitting area is very small and dirty! Come on now Costco!

I love Costco...I always have.  However, this one, unlike any other location I've seen, recently sells gelato!  Not sure if they're just test marketing, but it's actually pretty good and my dad loves it.  When he had it the first time, he told us that he had never had ice cream so delicious before.  I wouldn't go that far, but it was pretty good, especially for the price.

Just wanted you to know that they have it...check it out!

I am in love with their pistachio gelato in a waffle cone but they never have it when I visit on the weekend! Last Sunday they gave me chocolate chip gelato newly made as a substitute and it was BLAND & runny. I wouldn't have paid ahead for it if they told me at check out they were out. Next time I'll order at the window instead vs. ahead.

The rest of the menu you can't beat it!

Everyone loves the hot dog and soda combo for under $2.  I had a chicken bake once and it is FILLING.

The chicken cesaer salad is HUGE and worth the money.  You can literally eat it  for a couple meals.

My weekly Sunday ritual lately has been shopping with the boyfriend at Costco for his coffee fix and after shopping, we do the pre-order at the check out for our gelato, hot dogs and sundae's.  Usually the pre-order line is longer than the regular line, so I think next time I'll hit that up instead of the short cut.

    ***** gelato review *****

OMG! $1.50 for three scoops in a waffle cone!

    Mixed berry (tastes like strawberry)
Pistachio (could be more flavorful but definitely acceptable)
Stracciatella (delicate flakes and chunks of milk chocolate)

The scoops are huge! Like somewhere between a golf ball and a tennis ball.

Many thanks to Jen L. for the tip.

It's not my kind of food but the boys I am with definitely always love it... Here's what I usually will and won't eat with all the pricing I can remember...

    Will eat:
    - frozen yogurt with berries on top, really yummy - $1.65
    - frozen yogurt vanilla/chocolate swirl - $1.35
    - frozen latte/mocha/berry smoothie - $1.45 (or very close to that)

Boys love and I'll steal a bite:
    - chicken bake - $2.99
    - slice of pizza - $1.50

Boys love and I usually won't touch:
    - huge hot dog/sausage with a soda - $1.50

    Haven't tried:
    - turkey wrap - $3.99
    - chicken caesar salad - $3.99

You can definitely get more than enough food for a meal for $5 though! I'm more of a McDonald's food fan though if I'm going to eat not-so-healthy...

P.S. Where did the big soft pretzels go?!

On my continued mission to stay on my austerity plan for lunch, I have now started running to Costco for their chicken caesar salad ($3) for lunch...now, I am often tempted by their polish dog and soda ($1.50), but I am trying to diet...so salad it is.
My salad is always fresh, and definitely has more than $3 worth of chicken in it.....and it is delicious!
I'd like to thank Costco for not raising their prices, even with the current economy. I'm a foodie, but not a snob.... I know a good salad when I eat it....
PS....still dreaming about a polish dog though...mmmm....damn you diet!!!
    PPS...that frozen yogurt berry thing.....DELICIOUS!!!
PPPS.....if you splurge, go for the pizza

You should know they just don't let anybody in here. No, no, you plebeian - this is a most exclusive eatery only available to those who buy laundry detergent in oil barrels and toilet paper rolls in 84-packs. So just go away, you spontaneous hand-basket shopper....you simply don't belong here.

Hell, I didn't know this even had a name, but sure enough, the Costco site calls it the Food Court. So OK, it's a food court...sorta. It looks more like lunch hour during visiting hours at San Quentin with families crowded on long picnic tables between a cinder-block wall and the throngs of exiting shoppers with their flatbeds doing about 20 MPH on their way to get checked off with a magic marker at the exit. I've never managed to get a seat here. People park here for days, I think.

And I can see why - $2 pizza slices! How can you beat that in our current economic malaise? In fact, I'm surprised I don't see more people queuing up for the food here. But alas, you need a Costco membership card. I was freeloading off Jamie W.'s that night, and we both got slices of the combo (see my photo) and took them to the cement post outside the door. As people were using their carts as battering rams trundling their stash, we tried mightily to maneuver the flimsy paper plates to the sounds of screeching tires and screechier-sounding shoppers.

    FOOD - 3 stars...can't beat $2 pizza...and it ain't bad
    AMBIANCE - 2 stars...you're kidding, right?
SERVICE - 3 stars...well, I like how you can pre-pay for your food at the main checkout
    TOTAL - 3 stars...I'm in with the in-crowd

OMG a whole pizza for $10 whether you want it with just cheese, just pepperoni OR a combo!
Most pizza joints will charge you PER EXTRA TOPPING. But not good ol' Costco!

Chicken Bakes are delicious but are also 800 calories (no joke)!

    $1 churros. AWESOME.

And you can even order your food items at the register and go to the pick-up window and skip the line!

Convenient, cheap, nummy, what more can you ask for??

Yes, the prices are crazy low. But my experiences haven't been too great with the food here lately - at this location anyway. My pizza slice was a big blob of cheese and not much more. The polish sausage was better if not outstanding. Still, we're talking about a huge amount of food for $3. I was particularly impressed by the relish dispenser. What an invention.

As for the ambience, give me more seating and less creepy Costco patrons lingering around, and I'd give it 4 stars.

I looove a polish sausage and a bottomless soda. And maybe a slice of pizza. And a churro. For less than 5 dollars.

And yummy ketchup, deli mustard, and relish or onions if you want on your hot dog or polish sausage. Cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, or combo pizza. They even have chicken bakes, ceasar salads, and all this other stuff, but it doesnt matter. Polish sausage/hot dog, a soda, and a churro. Fatty, but hey. Yummy. Thats the important part. But bring cash...credit no bueno :( And unfortunately, it IS inside costco, so you DO need a card to get in the door to get to the food....

The hot dog and a soda deal is super cheap, but think about all the sodium and nitrates in those things.  The pizza is cheap too ... high fat cheese food, sausage flavored pellets, pepperoni made from god knows what ... oh, yum.  My friend likes those chicken bakes which are also sold in the freezer section so I walked him over and showed him the nutritional information on the box.  He don't eat chicken bakes no more.

I love shopping at Costco, but I avoid the food court.

$1.50 for a hot dog and bottomless drink...who could beat that?!  I like their soft-serve as well...or the $1.99 pizza...or a good ole chicken bake...

Order from the check-out line, pay for it, and then go pick it up...much faster.

$1.50 for a sausage & soda? Are you kidding me? If there was one closer to my home/work, I'd eat here *every* day! (slight exaggeration)

Stick with the Hot Dogs, Polish Sausage, or Pizza items. I've tried the Chicken Bake on several occasions and it's *always* been very dry. There's a reason the packaging recommends microwave vs. oven heating.

I don't like hot dogs but when I see the prices for them here, man I want one. So cheap.  Costco's also the reason why I never buy churros at a stadium ("3 bucks?! Are you insane? Pshaw, I'm going to Costco where they're huge and only a buck...sometime in the future.")  Their chicken bakes are huge too.  I got one when I was starving once and only finished half of it.  You can place your food order in the checkout line now--awesome.  Only problem is the quality varies, as in sometimes the food is awesome and other times it's dried out from being under a heat lamp too long.

Overall, huge and cheap, my kind of food.

Surprisingly good food at the ridiculously cheap price you would expect.

    I recommend:
    - Hot dog (rather than polish sausage). Ask for sauerkraut at the window; it's free, but not available at the condiment stand.
    - If you want something sweet, try the very berry sundae. I'd eat the ice cream and the berry juice but not the berries because they are ridiculously sweet.
    - Pre-pay for your food at the warehouse check-out rather than waiting in the food line, and save yourself a lot of time and hassle.

The seating area is usually crowded and somewhat soiled with ketchup and mustard so you may want to carry out. They accept cash, ATM or American Express.

I love the Costco Food Court.

It has only one simple purpose.

If you remember this purpose, then you will have NO problems!

The singular purpose is to serve you cheap, grease filled, sugary, high-fat food to nourish your shopping energy reserves for a reasonable price... lol

Yeah, the Costco Food Court reminds me of food at the Alameda County Fair which isn't a knock against it. At least I didn't say the food was like food at the Oakland Colisuem...or worse-Great America...

I love the Polish Dog combo. A nice cheap snack that will keep you your tummy happy until you eat some real food later on... )

Uh, the only bad part about this place is seating is next to impossible.

Be prepared to share a table... And don't be scared to talk to the people sharing the table with you if you do... :)

BTW... If you dont' have a Costco membership, just tell the security guards you left your id card at home and they'll let in to go to the food court  But you didn't hear that from me.

    Mocha Freeze 1.45
    subtotal 1.45
    a 8.25% tax rate .12
    total $1.57

Best $1.57 I have ever spent.  LOL  But seriously though, it was some fatty goodness.  I didn't pay for it myself anyways, lol.

This location is like the others, pizza, churros, hot dogs for low prices and low price soda.  When you want greasy, yummy food for a low price, come to the Costco Food Court.  They even have whole pizzas.

I'll deduct one star because too many calories, too much fat.  So that's a final score of 4 stars for yumminess and low prices.

in a nutshell, if you like the othe Costco food courts, then you will like this one.

It's almost mandatory for me to pick up a POLISH and a SODA whenever I shop here. Only $1.50, Costco is on your side during these times of financial struggles.

I usually throw on the CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD to consume my guilt but it's really yummy and filling so I end up feeling even more guilty. Dammit!

$1.50 for a hot dog and drink the price alone is worth 5 stars.  And to be honest, it's also one of the best hot dogs I've ever had.

Pizza here isn't bad either.  They also have chicken bakes which they also sell frozen in the store.  (Chicken, and creamy sauce in a bread shell)............

Usually a line here but it looks worse than it really is (1 person and a cart takes up alot of space) and it moves pretty fast, the employees are pretty good at moving you along.

Longtime fan of the $1.50 polish dog + drink combo. Even though you'll get a bad case of the MEAT BURPS, you can't go wrong with a hot dog and drink for $1.50...except when they're out of onions. I really hate that.

-1 star for a ho-hum selection of drinks in the soda fountain. I don't like raspberry iced tea...why can't they just include plain? Better yet if they're gonna have coke and diet coke...why not cherry coke too?

I'll keep this one simple.... Dont get the greasy chicken bake.  Stick to the dogs and the pizza's. Order at the regular check out counters for faster service.

The food is good and hella cheap so get it!

The only reason this place gets docked a star is for the impossibly long lines, lack of seating, and let's be honest, it's diiiirrrty. But hey, for $1.50 hot dog and $2 pizza, I'm willing to put up with a lot, including screaming children.

And it's not just that the food's cheap, it's good! A New Yorker once asked where to get a good slice in SF, other than the "you're in San Francisco, get a burrito" answer, a group of us recommended Costco and giggled when we realized it's true! And the hot dogs are outstanding especially in comparison to the city's other offerings...the pieces of jerky What's Up Dog? tries to pass off are a disgrace.

I've also tried the stuffed chicken thing and found it to be just OK and  I've sampled the churros on occasion and found them to be tasty.

Did you know that you don't even have to be a member to eat here? Just walk in the out door!

I have a love/hate relationship with the food court...

    PROs:

    -Good selection
    -Quality food
-Cheap prices (hello, big, juicy hot dog and bottomless soft drink for $1.50!)

    CONs:

    -Long lines (especially at night)
    -Filthy people

I guess it just really disappoints me that there are people who really don't care - they will leave trash everywhere and wait for someone else to clean up after them...

I'll give this 4 stars for the food...I won't let filthy people ruin my dining experience.

Just make sure you bring some Purell with you before you touch your meal since they don't have soap/water.

This is where I end up sometimes for lunch because it's quick, a block from work, and the hot dogs are better than the ones downtown at the carts because those sit in the water too dang long...!!! My number one highlight of the food court is the cheese pizza. Yummy...burnt cheese..!!!
At least ya know it's cooked huh..!!! Time to shop and spend 400 bucks when ya wanted to only spend 25 bucks..! Isn't that always the case there.? Cheers
