I have to say this is one of the best restaurants on Key Biscayne (if not the best). I have eaten here many times, but recently I took my parents who are from out of town here, and they loved it. This restaurant is tiny, so I recommend making a reservation.
My past dining experience was excellent. I was with a party of 6, and we all dined outside (I brought my bug spray along because I tend to get eaten alive by mosquitoes). To start with, my mom and I split the Sweet & Sour Raviolis. These are truly amazing...these are a must if you like raviolis. Everything in this dish just works perfectly--from the sauce to the figs. For my main course, I had my favorite, crab cakes (this is an appetizer but I find it enough to eat for my main meal). I am very picky about my crab cakes, and I must say, these are some of the best that I have had. They are not breaded, very light, and fall apart with your fork. My mom had another fish dish which was amazing. The rest of the table all enjoyed their food as well.
I have never had a bad meal at Costa Med. The service is excellent, the waiters know about their wines, and atmosphere is quaint. I think that even if you do not live on Key Biscayne that you should travel over the bridge to come eat at this restaurant. It is definitely worth it.
