There is something awesome about being able to get a Cadbury Flake, some furniture, cool pillows, French milled soap, and some jewelry all in one place.
I could spend hours here -- I absolutely love it.
This particular Cost Plus is cool. It's never too crowded, always well stocked, nice staff, clean, you can actually find things, and it's in a good shopping center with good parking.
I know it's silly, but I love empty places. This is by far the least crowded Cost Plus I've been to. This means I can leisurely walk the isles and dream of buying the useless and exotic knick knacks.
It is the perfect place to buy gifts, and if your paycheck is bigger, then you can make the world's greatest gift basket, for any person and for any holiday.
While they do get a bad rap for being too expensive (which for the most part they are), they sell my Mighty Leaf Tea for $5, about $7 cheaper than other places. Since few places carry the foreign goods they have, they're usually the best place to get them since everywhere else adds an extra $10 to the goods. You can find great variety at a price lower than other places . . .. in terms of food. Other things are pretty overpriced, candles, soaps, etc. but some believe it's worth it.

I have yet to have a bad experience at Cost Plus so this one gets a good review too. Super nice and friendly staff, Super Clean inside, and their selection of wine, beer, and food is pretty good. They have a lot of interesting home accents too, so It makes for a great place to browse even if your not in the mood for spending. Love It.

I've never had a bad experience at Cost Plus, and this one was no different. They seem to hire all the nicest and most helpful people out there. The great selection of food and drinks don't hurt, either. I can always count on Cost Plus for some pre-mixed Bellini and Spicy Thai Kettle chips!
Cost Plus, I have liked you since I was a child, and now as an adult I cannot ever get enough. My couches are from Cost Plus tons of my dishes outside furniture and home decor are as well. I love the cultural food varieties you get as well as their beer, wine, and sake. I love the fact that I can get 50 some odd bags of Twinnings earl grey for like 4 dollars. I love me some Cost Plus.

I tagged along with my sister and her family to this location...I love the whole multi-cultural vibe one gets from browsing thru a Cost Plus. I also love the variety of home furnishings! As I was still recuperating from a bad cold, I thought that I'd go and sniff the scented candles available, to help open up my sinus cavities...it worked! Bought some candles of my favorite scents - vanilla, mint, and cranberry. Too bad they don't make scented nasal spray...

This new location is great! It's big, it's spacious, and it's clean. The old location by the theater was getting pretty grubby and very messy.
I love their bath stuff, ethnic wooden furniture, bamboo roll-up shades (really cheap!) and all of their dishes & kitchen stuff. I almost always spend more than I anticipate at this place.
Me: (talking to myself) I just need some Cafe Du Monde chickory coffee.... oh, maybe some cranberry scone mix to go with that. Oh! I need a couple bottles of wine for when we have guests.... yeah... and some of these Ghiradelli carmel filled chocolates.... oh, I need some of these table linens, I think I'm going to be having a dinner party this summer, so I'll need some cool table stuff.... hey! I don't have one of these barbecue tools, and I'm pretty sure I'll need that, too. Oh, these little twig handled appetizer utensils are so cute! I have to have a set of those....
It could go on forever, people. I never have spent less than $80 in one seemingly innocent visit to Cost Plus. It's dangerous, as Jessica S. says. Very dangerous!!

I LOVE THIS STORE!!! I can spend hours in here, just browsing through all the things they have. It's a litt bit on the expensive side, but everything here is so unique and refreshing, especially considering it's in Fremont- the land of strip malls and fast food. They have all kinds of stuff, from cool jewelry, furniture, kitchenware, international food products that are hard to find anywhere else, a great wine selection, cool gifts... basically, this place rocks! Just the other day I found this beautiful blue ceramic dinnerware set with cherry blossoms on it from Japan that I just absolutely HAD to own. It was a little bit too expensive at the time, considering we were already buying furniture for our new apartment and Kona coffee, but I plan on going back there this weekend to pick up that Japanese set- so pretty!!!!

It's always very dangerous for me to come to this store.
There are so many WONDERFUL items and I just can't keep my hands to myself.
Yesterday I *intended* to buy some chocolate covered macadamia nuts for Father's Day... That would have been about $12. I ended up spending over $80!
Actually it was $70, since they had a coupon for $10 off...
Things I love about Costs Plus:
--the candy
--the crackers (Carr's Rosemary Crackers... yum!)
--drinks
--OK, the food section in general
--inexpensive furniture
--gift wrapping items
--toys
--pictures/prints/paintings
--pretty much everything is cool...

I've come here for some really great house/kitchen wares, and have also found good holiday food and drink treats, as well as good packaging for gifts. Such a wide range of cool stuff and a great location in my area.

I love world market! I never buy anything there unless it's on sale, because everything will inevitably go on sale and I'll be kicking myself for paying full price.
World market is kind of like Pier 1, only bigger, better, and more affordable. The salespeople at this location are helpful and friendly and the store is always clean.
One comment though...if you're going for the wine, always check the Trader Joe's across the parking lot first. Their wine is generally cheaper if they have the same kind. ...and that beers of the world thing = skunk skunk skunk!
