Cosmo Rouge - CLOSED
1 review for Cosmo Rouge
Cosmorouge, located in the Bishop Arts District in south Dallas off 35E, bills itself as an ultra-lounge. Much of the decor lends itself to that type of atmosphere with a red glass bar top, curtained-off booths, DJ turntables and backdrop behind the bar that changed through every color in the rainbow. However, the vibe is a little bit more inviting and casual. I went there on Thursday night around 8pm so the weekends might be completely different. The draw for me was the large variety of specialty martinis. $9 will get you a full 12 oz martini in flavors such as Mango, Caramel, Key Lime or German Chocolate. Most will make your taste buds sing and give you that slight buzz that turn any day around. The Midori Martini disappointed and the service went from outstanding to poor rather quickly. We felt bad for the sole bartender/waitress who couldn't keep up with the slightly increasing crowd. I still recommend it as a place to meet up with friends. Just be ready to pass your glass around because everyone will want a taste.
