Neighborhood: Market EastI *think* this is the location I studied at lots of times. It was always a cosy (pun pun pun) respite from the center city chaos outside. If you get there before 5, they don't hassle you with waitress service--AND you can get as many free bread sticks as you'd like! woohoo!!

I love Cosi just for the roast turkey and brie sandwich with honey mustard dressing. It is all i think about when I know that I have to go to the city for work. Since my sandwich is simple to make it never is made wrong. Service is fast and the people are always nice. Its a great place to just grab a bite to eat!

I love you Cosi but mostly for your mango smoothie goodness.

I went here on a Sunday night, so it wasn't too crowded with tourists. I ordered a turkey sandwich and mixed green salad. The turkey sandwich was tasty, but pretty small. I don't remember seeing nouveau in front of the sandwich description. The mixed green salad was fresh and the vinaigrette was tangy. However, the salad fit on the smallest plate available, which is to say it was almost microscopic in size. Frankly the meal just wasn't worth the money. I'd rather have gone to Potbelly's or Top Tomato across the street. The only good thing about the place was that there were a lot of good looking women studying there.

So this particular location gets only 2 stars....AND I HAVE A GOOD REASON WHY!
So....let's all answer this question.
What seems to be the one thing never ordered at a Coffee shop?

If you guessed COFFEE according to the manager at this Cosi location...you would be right!
I like my iced coffees from time to time...or lattes or a really nice espresso drink. HOWEVER!!!!! I expect that when I enter a coffee shop there should be regular coffee there!
So I order...and the guy scrambles around...I repeated to him that I simply wanted a medium coffee. After 2 maybe 3 minutes of playing with the coffee maker he walks over to the register...big smile on his face and says..."I'm so sorry Miss, we are out of coffee."
I ASK YOU.....HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.
So I personally will never venture into this particular location again...out of sheer principal. This would be like an art supply store not selling supplies...but only art! GRRRR Bad COSI BAD.

"Gay Cosi" is usually great when I go. I tend to think of Cosi as more food oriented than coffee. If you want good food go to Cosi. If you want good coffee go to Starbucks across the street (although the drinks are good at Cosi, Starbucks seems to have more of a selection in the way of coffee). I love sitting in the booths near the window or outside on the sidewalk and people watching. It's probably best during a cool summer evening and I admit it can be a little messy and chaotic at times but never as bad as the Old City location on 4th and Chestnut (it seems like the ceiling fell outta that one...very industrial feel and ironically not so cozy at all)!
I love my "Gay Cosi"! What can be better than eating at Cosi with a bunch of homos and non-homos alike?! I love the look on straight people's faces when you sit down and they realize "OMG I think we stumbled into the wrong neighborhood!"
