A marvelous experience. My wife and I stayed two nights in the large and gorgeous Lois Cohen suite; a bargain at the price.
We are vegans, and called Cory in advance to see if she could accomodate us. She did extensive research, and ended up producing a sublime pair of breakfasts as well as wonderful vegan snacks. Her skills as a host and a chef were sublime, and we had many wonderful chats in her gorgeous home.
If you need to be in Butte County, Glenn County, or Tehama -- anywhere within thirty miles of Chico -- Corys is the most beautiful and special place you can possibly stay. And if you're vegan, it's the best choice hands down!

Chico has Never been SO Inviting!
My husband Kit and I were lucky enough to spend the weekend at Cory's Country Inn this weekend, and I can't wait to tell you all about it!
The Inn is charming. It is a beautiful and relaxing setting to spend a few days and the food is amazing. Cory and her husband are attentive and knowledgeable, and their level of hospitality makes you feel like they were born Innkeepers!
The grounds are impressive. Rolling green lawns, beautiful pool and large hot tub. They even have horse stables & outside paddocks in case your steed is also in need of lodging.
Back to the food, it is amazing - I will post photos. It was a feast for the eyes as well as a feast for the stomach. My goodness, I don't know the last time I felt so taken care of. There were savory scones made with garden tomatoes, corn meal and cheese and herbs... just wonderful for a Sunday morning with Coffee, (really great coffee, likely french press) an artful fruit plate with delicious yogurt and a sprinkling of granola that was so pretty you almost hated to eat it... almost. Finally the main course was Quiche Lorene with ham and mushrooms topped with perfectly done and seasoned petite green beans, matchstick carrots, small broccoli florettes, and zucchini with mushroom. I ate until I could eat no more.
Cory also serves tasty dessert treats in the evening. I was honored to get a piece of her pumpkin pie - my favorite - and the best I have EVER had. My husband almost wept when he got a hold of her brownies.
We stayed in Room #1. The smallest of the 3 rooms, it is very masculine in the architectural style of the art and also has no television. Call me crazy, but I think that is a Plus! This room has darker woods and a cozy non-floral color scheme, super lush towels, and great water pressure! It was the perfect room for us.
Cory was just as charming and thoughtful as when she owned the restaurant. We arrived to a delightful juice service and some fruit. Some biscotti came a bit later while we just lounged in the room until dinner. She spent a few minutes with us to get our breakfast order just perfect, and then we went to dinner in Chico.
Came home later to a HUGE wonderful piece of pumpkin pie for dessert with freshly made fudge, sugar cookies and whipped cream (fresh!).
Breakfast was delightful and she chatted with us for a bit about how much shes loving Inn ownership. (Tell her to make the James Beard cream biscuits cinnamon recipie, youll thank me).
Overall a wonderful time, and I and my partner will be going back for sure.
