Oh, I don't know. I'm being very judicious with the 3rd star because of the cafe's ambiance and the beautifully enticing display of salads and pre-made entrees - none of which I had, but probably should have.
What I did have was 1/2 grilled cheese which came on sourdough bread alongside a cup of "cream" of roasted red pepper soup.
Firstly, I wasn't given a bread selection and I'd never choose sourdough for grilling. If not doctored with just the perfect amount of butter, grilling can remove all sourdough flavor, not to mention creating a medium akin to a slab of slate. I was not disappointed with the results here.
This rather dry sandwich was served, totally unadorned, alongside a half filled, overly large plastic container of bell pepper soup.
The roasted pepper flavor was outstanding - but there's the rub. I wasn't looking for or expecting "outstanding". The sign said "cream", but there was none. So rather than an underlying flavor of roasted pepper muted by cream, I had a bright red soup with a big bold flavor of roasted pepper. BIG disappointment.
That's all.

Not to be confused with the Corner Bakery chain, Corner Market is true to its name: a small, neighboorhood eatery/hang-out-ery.
Located at McCommas & Greenville, this place is usually full but not packed on Saturday and Sunday morning with M Streeters who have rode their bike, Vespas, or walked their dog for a quick bite to eat. It feels like something out of New York, and the staff is an interesting bunch too: late-20's to 30's, mostly tattooed, and pretty laid back, and for some reason I dig the old crown molding on the ceiling to boot.
The deli section offers fresh made sandwiches with quality Boar's Head meats as well as some typical pre-made deli dishes (potato salad, cole slaw, etc.) They also have a Starbucks-esque coffee menu, fresh baked goods and confections made in house, and a small flower shop attached to pass through on the way out.
However, what I really love is the breakfast options. Me and the girlfriend order a "wedge" (think giant quiche slice) of either Huevos Rancheros or Potato Fritata, and usually have to save some for later. We've also tried the Potato and Spinach Crepes which is my new favorite.
The only downsides are the microwave in view used to heat up the food (ignorance is bliss in restaurants) and moving around b/w tables and counter can be a tad difficult when crowded, but are definitely outweighed by the plus-es...and the fact that I'm pretty sure we saw a post-shack breakfast happening last time I was there.

Had breakfast at Corner Market at Greenville and McCommas. Upon walking in, I was greeted by the cheerful bustle of thirty-something hipsters-- busy, but not too crowded. The restaurant also connects to Society Bakery next door and has a case of sprightly flowers for sale in a room toward the back. Move to the far end of the counter to order. The menu consists mostly of sandwiches made to order, soups, and salads. There's also sundry breakfast options. I settled on the herbed frittata displayed in a bakery case and Boar's Head bacon. The staff quickly heated up a wedge for me in the microwave and served it with plasticware. I didn't have high hopes for a re-heated egg dish, but it turned out relatively well and fragrant with rosemary. Warrants a return for a weekend lunch sometime.

I absolutely love this place...It is a sanctuary on Lower Greenville...The Variety here is great...the food is gourmet. They name some of their sandwhiches after local streets. I had the Chicken Belmont which is chicken, sundried tomatoes, pesto, and salami. They also have chocolates, flowers, cakes, organic and healthy drinks. I'm thinking about getting an apartment nearby just to be able to walk there twice a day.

I've yet to be unimpressed by this place. Great sandwiches, rich, delicious chicken pesto pasta, good breakfast burrito, and of course, the mandatory free wi-fi. For a small little shop, it has a large selection and enough seating for the neighborhood.

I'm so angry at this place. I used to live about a block away when they started putting butcher paper on the windows to get ready to renovate this place. Then the flower market opened. Great. And the bakery. Awesome. But it wasn't until I moved from the neighborhood that this amazing deli opened! I so wish I lived closer to it, because EVERYTHING there is good.
Check it out, and keep this cute neighborhood market going strong!

My roommate and I picked up food from there. Sandwiches. He ate the grilled apple turkey sandwich and I had a roast beef and cheddar sandwich. I really liked it. They need a web page and take out menus, but I will definitely be going back to try more stuff.
