Corner Bakerys are usually good, and this one is no exception.

It's everything you should expect from a Corner Bakery!  I came to use a free panini coupon and it went off without a hitch.  I would come back to have brunch in the future.

Parking is fine, and it's close to a Trader Joe's so you can do some grocery shopping afterward!

I came here over the weekend to redeemed a coupon for a free power panini thin, yes you heard it right...FREE! =)  I was expecting to see hoards of ppl and long lines but surprisingly there were none.

You get a choice of 3 types of paninis (applewood bacon, chicken apple sausage or veggie).  I went with the chicken apple sausage.  It was okay.  I didn't really care for the sharp cheddar though.  It was too bitter, bleh!  I also tried the applewood bacon panini...the sausage was way better.

Service was good and the servers were friendly.  I don't think i'll order the panini thin again but I'm glad I got to try it for Free =)

We came in for a free breakfast panini. Using the coupon was easy. Sometimes employees are unaware and others even managers are unaware - so it's a big deal....

The panini was good. A little on the greasy side, but good. It really isn't a panini. It looks more like a simple egg, meat and cheese sandwich a la Denny's. They use sandwich style bread instead of the usual panini bread places use when they call their product a panini. Lame! I had the sausage one and my BF had the ham one. The sausage one was much better. The sausage was not terribly tasty though. They were pretty small. I am not sure if the samples are the same size as the ones they actually sell or not.

We also ordered some drinks. I had the Truffle Mocha. BF had the Truffle hot chocolate. Mine was pretty bleh. His was even more bleh. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever use the word TRUFFLE to make it sound like your mocha or hot chocolate will be rich and chocolatey. I take my chocolate very seriously and my drink was really bad. It wasn't even good enough to be an average mocha :( Based mostly on this they lose a ton of stars. The quality of the sandwiches was not enough to offset this disgust in the chocolates.

The service is ok. Both the cashier and server were kind of tired or drone like.

The decor is nice enough. Reminds me of a cross between BJ's and Panera. Their brand name logo is cheesy. It's a baker. It looks like it was generated from the stock pictures Powerpoint has haha! Lame! Their name is not particularly creative. They have a cool outdoor seating area.

Parking is not a problem since there is a structure nearby. There is also street parking but both options are not free. The street parking is free on Sundays and holidays apparently. Unmemorable place....

This is right next to Macy's in Pasadena.  They have indoor and outdoor setting; the place looks clean and homey.  You see students studying in one corner, seniors out for a late lunch at a nearby table, yuppies in a meeting at another table.  Typical coffee shop clientele.

Came here for a coffee and some lemon pie. Service was prompt, the pastry was good, coffee was okay. 3 stars for being okay in everything. Nothing stood out. Maybe I'll try one of their dishes if and when I come back.

My wife and I order take-out from this Corner Bakery at least once every couple of weeks. The service is ALWAYS good, the food is prepared very well and tastes excellent, and the restaurant itself is very clean and well-kept. I've been to various CB's around Los Angeles, and this one takes the cake as the best.

Seriously, it's the people. Servers and cashiers here are friendly, professional, and prompt. I'm a stickler for service, and these folks are pros. Hats off to them.

i LOVE corner bakery. and this location is no exception!

today was actually my third visit to a CB this week :)
i've been trying to get over this wretched cold, so i've had their soups twice this week (their chicken tortilla-SO good!!, and their chicken noodle--ehhh)

today, since i'm feeling better, i wanted my fave sammy--the smoked turkey cobb on a brioche flatbread. this is seriously one of my favorite sandwiches--ever!! there's blue cheese crumbles, lettuce, tomatoes, crispy bacon, hard boiled eggs, and an interesting avocado mayo (which i always get on the side).
today, per usual, the sandwich was SO satisfying!

i did call ahead, since i work down the street, and i know how it is ALWAYS so crowded. when i arrived, the line was out the door, and i scurried on over to the "pick up phone orders" line. i quickly paid, and then proceeded to wait for like 7 minutes until someone decided to bag my box o' sandwich that was just sitting there...waiting for me.

overall, corner bakery has good food at great prices. i can always count on a good meal here.  :)

Homey interior, great menu, nice atmosphere, spacious patio and disappointing food.

I had a Turkey Cobb sandwich with one tiny thin piece of turkey. Very disappointing. They would have been more accurate if they'd billed it as a "Turkey-less Carb" sandwich.  Yes, CARB. The protein ingredients were sorely lacking.

My wife had a sandwich of some kind that was totally tasteless.

My honest recommendation: Go there for the atmosphere - not the food.

I'm a fan of Corner Bakery but I really like this one in particular because of the location. I've eaten there twice and I'm going back today for lunch.
Great selection of salads, sandwiches and soup. Love how it's simple but yummy. It isn't super cheap, a sandwich can easily be $7. I love the patio area. So peaceful and serene.

    * Spotted Tori Spelling's 3 kids with nanny lunching there today. Tori &  Dean were MIA though.

Corner Bakery got rid of my favorite sandwich--the turkey frisco.  Whaaaat?! :(

I'm still a fan though.  At least my other favorites are still on the menu--the chicken pomodori panini, chilled Swiss oatmeal (with sweet crisps, yum!), and the chicken carbonara pasta.  Just about everything I've had from Corner Bakery has been satisfying.

The cashier I encountered today wasn't very friendly though.  She didn't greet me or smile at all, but I saw her being nice to other customers.

Sign up for their email club.  They send offers periodically.  Usually a free coffee, sweet, or soup with purchase.

Came here with a friend when I was STARVING after a performance. It was like 5:30 so it wasn't crowded at all. Love the large outdoor seating area with lots of umbrellas. The girl at the counter was very friendly and patient while we decided. Also, when I placed my order I totally forgot to put my number in the little holder on our table, but the food runner found us anyway and was totally nice.

I got the green chile chicken panini, and it was extremely tasty! Nice, mild grilled green chiles, good amount of well seasoned chicken and lots of cheese. The bread was nice and crispy, although the bottom got soggy pretty quickly and started falling apart. We both also got the pomegranate blended lemonade, which was pretty sweet, so we let the crushed ice water it down. My friend got a cookie, which was not bad at all considering it was 5:30pm and had probably been sitting out for an hour or two. Would definitely go back!

What can I say, I really love Corner Bakery and it's def my go-to place for a late lunch or early dinner.

I've ordered numerous things on the menu including...

    Breakfast:
    - Baked French Toast & Eggs: SUPER good, def my favorite breakfast item anywhere! The baked French toast was amazingly good. I've never had it baked before but it was moist, not too sweet and had just the right amount of powdered sugar on it. Plus it was served with two scrambled eggs and three strips of bacon for only $7!
    - Chilled Swiss Oatmeal: Pretty gross and disappointing... it had a really strange texture and the fruit was kind of soggy.

    Salads:
    - The Trio: This would be your best bet if you can't commit to one single salad; this way you can get a mixture of 3 different choices. I like to get an assortment of fresh fruit, the edamame salad, the mixed green salad, or the chicken salad.

    Paninis:
    - Chicken Pomodori on Sourdough: Really good but a bit on the heavy side.
    - Club Panini on Sourdough: Usually my go-to panini. It's not too heavy so you're not regretting it a few hours later, it's the cheapest panini and also delicious!
    - Corned Beef Reuben on Caraway Rye: I love their reubens. They put just enough sauerkraut and meat so that they complement each other nicely instead of the meat being drowned out by cabbage or vice versa.

    Soups:
    - Chili: Tastes like standard chili, nothing new but still good.
    - Baked Potato Soup: Super creamy and a bit heavy but still good.

    Baked Goods:
    - Whoopee Pie: I've only had their peanut-butter chocolate one and that one is really good. Their Whoopee Pies are pretty big and can easily be split between two people.
    - Cream Cheese Brownie: Pretty gross... I had a coupon for a free sweet and mistakenly chose this brownie. Tasted just like cream cheese and a hint of chocolate... avoid this.

The bottom-line is that with Corner Bakery's extensive menu, there should be a menu item here for everyone. Judging from the fact that I come here at least 2-3 times a month, they definitely have menu items that I like.

This place is good for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You have to wait in line to place your order and it feels a little bit like standing in line at McDonalds with the major difference being that the food is really good here and relative healthy. Sandwiches are good and especially the oatmeal in the morning is a treat. Free WiFi and a very cozy and large terrace. Conveniently located on South Lake next to Macy's and Trader Joe's.

I do really want to love to this little bakery. It has a very nice and cozy feel inside with an abundant menu and quite decent coffee. However, the previous two times I've been in here the service has been awful! There's about 6 or 7 people working behind the counter taking and filling people's orders as well as running around the cafe delivering food. The wait staff is nice and accommodating. But, with all those people, it honestly seems and feels like pure chaos. I waited nearly 10 minutes for a soy cappuccino (which was really good, though!). I will probably continue to go back because I really do like the food and atmosphere this place has to offer, I just wish their service would improve and be a bit more organized and a lot less chaotic. Perhaps it's better when you eat in, as I took away.

Just had a FANTASTIC Chicken salad from this location of Corner Bakery Cafe. I can't believe how juicy, flavorful and tender the chicken slices were. I believe it was a special order (not one off the menu) and came with lovely fresh mixed greens, thin crispy and tart apple slices, feta cheese, currents, red onions and thin, crispy crouton slices (with a Thanksgiving-like seasoning) and balsamic vinaigrette on the side.

Haven't tried anything else, but from the freshness of this salad, I'd give anything else on the menu a go.

I will start off simply by saying I only dig their sandwiches, I for some reason don't like their pastries. I've tried cookies, brownies, lemon bars, etc all the stuff that's catered at work. Don't like it.

The sandwiches on the other hand, I have yet to have a sandwich from corner bakery I disliked. I think they're very satisfying for their size.

I just had their turkey cobb salad on flatbread and it was pretty bomb dizzle. I love me some cobb salad, and the flatbread was very tasty and made it easy for me to get all of the ingredients in one bite.

I probably could've done without the little bag of chips they threw in. But I ate em anyway.

    Tasty! mmmm chips.

I would probably eat here again on my own accord, again I've mainly eaten stuff that's catered on work party platters. I think the sandwiches for what they are are pretty expensive, high in calories too but I'm sure they use very fresh ingredients just by the taste.

It's worlds better than subway for just 2-3 bucks more. It's the parking that stopped it from being 5 stars. So crowded at this location.

The one redeeming quality of this place is it's breakfast! They have great hot scrambles and yummy chilled oatmeal.

Coffee & Lattes are a consistent failure. Why go there when you have Starbucks and Coffee Bean a hop, skip & a jump away in either direction.

I've frequented this place often enough to say that the service is terrible! I once waited over an hour for my meal to be served. This was the drama:

    1. The woman who took my order never inputted the number she gave me on my ticket, so they had no way of knowing whose meal it was - which was the excuse I got.

    2. After 30 minutes rolling by, I asked a waiter to check for my food - which he never did, but said he did.

    3. An hour and a half later, the manager brings me my food and its made wrong. He did have it remade right away, but I'd say it was a little too late at that point.

Terrible service & terrible coffee, but I'll still go there for the occasional breakfast.

Stopped by to pick up dinner to go cuz I had a $3 off coupon.

Had the Green Chile Chicken Panini with a green salad.  The salad was nice and fresh.  All the leaves were a bright green and crisp.

The sandwich was just okay because the cheese wasn't all melted, much of it was still in shredded pieces.  The sourdough bread was a tad bit soggy.  The flavor of the green chiles were a bit overwhelming as well.

For my post work out meal, I decided to try this place out.   I usually pick up a little extra for my sisters when I order to go.

D.C Chicken Salad- good (all natural roasted chicken, green apples, currants, red onions, celery, mayonnaise, and toasted almonds)

Tuna Salad - pretty good (tuna, celery, red, and green onions, mayo, dijon mustard, and basil)

Pesto Cavatappi-pretty good (all natural roasted chicken & steaming cavatappi tossed in a rich pesto cream sauce and sprinkled with toasted bread crumbs)

The focaccia roll that came with the salad were freshly made and good.

The toasted garlic bread that came with pasta was pretty good.

The chocolate chip cookie that was either on the house or part of the meal (which I did not order) was very good.

The freshly squeezed lemonade on the house was good.

Overall, I like this place!  I will definitely come back.

For many of these salads, there is a sandwich version.  Please be sure to clarify sandwich or salad.

I've come here for breakfast and enjoy their french toast and scrambles. Parking is free and easy and the staff is super friendly/sweet. One time they forgot to put something in our to-go order and when my mom went back the next day to let them know, the manager immediately offered my mom her choice of their bakery treats AND the sandwich too! Totally AWESOME!!!!

This catered lunch box landed in my hands, not because I persued it, rather, my dad didnt end up eating it during his medical seminar meeting thing.  So, about 3 hours later when he dropped by to see me, he asked me if Id like it instead?  Umm, of course dad.
Anyway, I thought the sandwich would be a soggy mess but since it was food that literally landed on my lap, I didnt miss the chance to scope it out.  To my surprise, the sandwich wasnt the least bit soggy.  In fact, it was soft and just right.  It had roasted veggies, including huge pieces of artichokes, swiss cheese, baby spinach  with a nice background flavor of garlic from the flavored mayo.  Nothing overwhelming, but a mint later would really help :)
It came with spicy kettle style chips, a huge cookie and a bottle of snapple (which my dad drank).

Overall, I enjoyed my sandwich and I will definitely swing by if Im ever in the vicinty of one.

I've been to this location three times, but had my first bite of a sandwich over in Westwood. (Long story short: it was lunch order that got delivered, so I never been inside the place.)

I really love this place, since it's really roomy outside, and not too many shops around, meaning I can get some work done if I needed to.

Food was fresh and made really well. That day I got the DC Chicken Salad with Caesar Salad combo. Pretty tasty.

My only drawback is the price. For the combo, it was 8 bucks. I felt like they should be able to charge more because of the quality of the food, but at the same time, I can go somewhere else to get a sandwich for about half the price. (Like Vons, which made REALLY good sandwiches.)

If Schlotzsky's is the home of the "funny name, serious sandwich," then Corner Bakery Cafe is the home of the serious name, crappy sandwich.  I ordered a Turkey Club Panini, what I got was the sorriest looking Panini I've ever seen.  The bread was soaked in so much butter that my heart started hurting before I even took a bite.  Strangely, only part of the sandwich made it onto the sandwich press, so 2/3rds of the bread was nicely crisped up and the other 1/3rd was a soggy mess.  The chips offered up with the meal were ok and the water was the best that LA municipal had to offer.

On the plus side, it was a nice day out so I was able to enjoy their outdoor seating area and the staff was nice.

Although I prefer Panera Bread's sandwich/salads over Corner Bakery, this place shouldn't be looked over. It's a worthy alternative if it's closer to you than Panera Bread. The salads are fresh, and the bread is full of steamy goodness! I find their soups a tad salty though. And yes, the Paninis are just as good as the ones at Panera Bread. I just personally prefer the bread texture of Panera's better. Taste-wise, they're about the same. The only gripe I probably have is the price, which is kinda expensive for the amount of food you are getting. I wish the portions were a bit bigger!

I come often to study since they offer free wifi. Eat, study, sleep, chat, etc. It's a good place for everything!

I really wish I worked  closer to Corner Bakery, because I think they do a great job with their food.  The employees here are always friendly.  The patio in summer can get crowded, but I like that they have water bowls for dogs, and most people seem to bring pretty well-behaved dogs.

My favorite is a half ruben panini with caesar salad.  But honestly, I don't think there is a bad thing on the menu.  (Perhaps I am saved from my own order-the-worst-thing tendencies.)  Breakfast here is also a solid choice, if you don't have time for a fancy place but want something better than McDonald's.  They even serve breakfast past noon on the weekends, if you wake up late and insist on having eggs when everyone is having a sandwich.  *Points to Mrs. C*

Have you tried the black currant iced tea?  That is hands down my FAVORITE self-service drink in the LA area.  I can refill that thing all day if you give me a chance.  Cinnamon rugalach is pretty good, too.  Mrs. C will buy 4 or 5, but I limit myself to 1.

great place if you're trying to eat healthy, or count calories that is. They have this menu that is called 100 combo items that are under 600 calories! I chose the asian salad & tomato soup combo. Very good & filling for about $7 bucks

If you're not worried about the calories, then def try the pesto cavatappi chicken pasta.  it is very rich & creamy, also comes with a toasted garlic bread that tastes bomb when you dip it in the cream sauce.

I'll have to say that it's been awhile since I've been to Corner Bakery Cafe.  As a carb lover, I find that surprising.

This location is on Lake Ave in Pasadena, located nearby to a FREE parking garage!  Let me say that again: FREE.  In Pasadena.  I found myself searching fervently for the fine print on that one, but no, it is and was free.  In South Pasadena.  I mean, whoa!   Anyway, the parking garage is for Macy's, Border's, and a whole slew of other stores, but look hard enough and you'll find parking on one of the levels....for free!

Anyway, this Corner Bakery has a giant outdoor patio area, a medium sized indoor area, and plenty of food options.  I had the old fashioned oatmeal, which may seem plain and boring (which is what my waistline and me where going for), but it was delicious!  They also have every sandwich and panini and soup you could ever want, so tasty that you may pass out from pure delight.  And...next to the drink station, they have lemon wedges, sugar packets of every kind, jam, butter packets, and probably some other stuff I missed!   It's all free and for the placing on your meal!  Wow!  You mean I don't have to beg for all my favorite condiments or be charged extra if I want more than two?!

If you eat indoors, you are given a number, can sit down (rather than simply joining a mob of people and waiting for your order) and put your number up.  A waiter or waitresses comes by to drop off your meal once they see your number, and after you finish your meal, they come by to collect your tray and plate.  The cashier accidentally forgot to give me my number when I first ordered, but I had barely finished filling up my cup for water when the waiter called my number and gave me my order. Later, the cashier came by and apologized for not giving me my number.  Um...excellent!  It wasn't even five minutes before I received my order.  So, I can be hungry, order my food, and it's prompt!  Yes!  My stomach is happy. :-)

I've been to a few Corner Bakery's and this is definitely my favorite location.  Service has been excellent here and the food is delicious!  Corner Bakery can be on my corner any day!

Why haven't I written a review for this place if I am OBSESSED with their Green Chile and Chicken Panini??? With chips and a pickle...done!

If you're looking for a nice place to have some cheap Sunday brunch outdoors in fancy Pasadena, then this place is for you!

Sure, I love having mimosas and the occasional chocolate fountain like most Sunday brunch places have. But you just can't beat the food here. And for the price. AND the friendly service.

2 people, without drinks, will run you less than 20 bucks. Some brunch places will charge 25 bucks, for ONE person. The have French toast here that is basically bread pudding. It doesn't get better than dessert for breakfast!

Come during any time of day. Outdoor seating for the nice L.A. weather and indoor seating for the colder nights. Love this place!
