This inn has many pluses, and one big minus, it is very close to the main road so noise can be a problem on busy weekends. If that's an issue with you insist on a room in the back.
The inn is fairly typical of east coast b&bs with a colonial look and full of nick-knacks, but the sense is its more image then reality, although the main building itself is quaint with lots of interest. There are 2 adjacent wings going to the main building, we stayed in the "MacDonald House - Elijah room." We chose this room because looking at the internet site it looked spacious it was not, we found it to be cramped and not very comfortable. The common rooms are spacious and the garden is lovely, but again, where the internet gives the impression of spacious grounds it is not. For those interested, a full bar!
Friendly staff, clean rooms, we would stay here again if pressed for a room during the busy season, but it wouldn't be our first choice due to the location.
