4 reviews for Cornbread and Coffee
I enjoy Cornbread and Coffee for the atmosphere, the location, the food (the grits have to be my favorite). The thing I do not enjoy about C&C is the wait, not the wait to be seated that's understood, it's the wait time until I receive my order yet even that's not too bad when I think about how much I love to people watch there.
I was also a bit disappointed my last visit when my food which is typically a pretty large portion for a reasonable price seemed to have shrunk a bit. I'm hoping it was just a one time thing and would rather see a price increase than a thin plate due to the need of one.
***Update, I went yesterday to C&C and the plate size was back to normal:) I didn't get hungry until well until the evening and even then I only ate because I knew I'd be hungry in the morning if I did not.
Also failed to mention when I first wrote this review that there is one young man that works on Sat's that has excellent customer service skills, such a rarity now a days and to add to that I've never had an issues with the staff, he simply stands out most. Also if the place is crowded and a table i available, they will let you know that you can go to the table and that they will come over to wipe the tables off and they actually do so:)
And for that reason I'm giving them 5 starts rather than the previous 4.
This small little homey breakfast shop is right in my neighborhood where I grew up. They have great breakfast and the servers are very nice. My Uncle eats breakfast here almost every morning and they all know him by name and his exact order. It has an at-home type atmosphere that you will love but there is very limited seating. Try to go with maybe 1 or 2 people. For breakfast I ordered turkey scrapple, fried eggs, turkey bacon, and pancakes. And don't forget the cornbread its delicious!
Awesome. That's all you really need to say about Cornbread and Coffee. Their menu is simple, the staff is friendly, and the food is just flat out good. Obviously, when it's in your name, you better have good cornbread and, damn, it's good. Expect to wait a little while on Saturday morning but it's worth it.
This little breakfast shop is awesome. From the red walls to the mural inside, it is very cute and homey. The cornbread was DELICIOUS and just slightly sweet. The tuna sandwich was really good, but be sure to request light on the mayo. This is a great shop.
