Omg I freakin' love it here.
My first time to the CHG was during the opening reception of the Silvia Ji exhibit.
Quaint, unpretentious and full of genuine art lovers.
This place has the hippest artists and I recently went back for the Baseman exhibit.
I'm also beyond stoked on the Silvia Ji "Guadalupe" print that I purchased from the gallery for $250. They only made 50 each of these!
The staff is friendly and engaging. I recommend this place for all serious and casual art lovers. Whenever I leave this gallery, I have a smile and a warm feeling in my belly.

Amazing shows, amazing artists & the owner is fab. Consistently the best art at LA shows. I've never seen bad art here, unlike all the other LA galleries.
They have incredible openings, with interesting people & good snacks/drinks.
We bought our first art here a few weeks ago! Thanks CHG.

The Corey Helford Gallery is a beautiful space, with two floors to exhibit art, a glass facade, and a high ceiling. Warm lighting and a cushy bench make the place quite comfortable. The staff (Jae and others) were friendly: unsure who he was exactly (the owner?), but a staffer invited me to take photos when we saw my camera.
We saw Buff Monster's show, "The Sweetest Thing", full of whimsical and light pieces with crazily cute powder puff images. While there, we got a sneak preview of the next show, and had the opportunity to purchase high-quality Buff Monster prints. Check out the current show (and past ones) yourself, right on the Corey Helford Gallery's web site! Worth a visit.

OK, the Corey Helford people really "get it" when it comes to running a gallery. They are one of the most vibrant and exciting places to see new art. They throw fun well-organized openings. They select interesting emerging artists. They put on the entire big show. Their recent blow-out for artist Gary Baseman was a CRAZY event, one part art -- three parts circus. I don't know how it could get much better than the way they do it, unless they could somehow bring Elvis and Andy Warhol back from the dead for their next two-man show.
I came to the Corey Helford Gallery for the opening of Buff Monsters "The Sweetest Thing." Parking is limited to the street, I'm not sure if you can park in the lot next to the gallery.
Anyway, I checked the site before coming and it looks like the gallery has great shows coming up. I *heard there was an open bar in the back, but we parked in 30 minute parking and there was no way I could get drunk and sober up in 20 minutes.
Great opening, great venue.

We have been here many times. The art is always fantastic here. Love this gallery.
Excellent gallery and wonderful gallery owners, so personable and warm, no snob art (or art patrons) here.
I attended the Henry Lewis and Regino Gonzales opening and it was fabulous. The venue is in the Art District of Culver City, which in itself is quite a jewel.
If you love art, check out the installations at the gallery.

I am surrounded by galleries in my 'hood. I think there are 15+ within a few blocks of home base, but this is fast becoming my favorite. I refer to it as La Luz de Jesus of the Westside. They feature some of the best and most interesting Juxtapoz-esque artist and their openings are top-notch with free libations and snacks and always a DJ which translates to an eventful evening.
