My top five list for why I love Copperfields:

1. I go straight for the magazine rack first, and it has all the mags I love
2. Lots of books on sale
3. Lots of food and wine books
4. Clean bathrooms
5. Lots of open space to sit and get lost in books

This is a great book store, I have always been able to find a unique book or the necessary book for class.  The staff is awesome, they are extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on what they have in the store or where to get it if they don't have it.

Without a doubt, Copperfield's is one of my favorite book stores.

Copperfield's used to be this funky little shop in downtown Napa. Even then, it had an overwhelming charm. It was the type of bookstore that would inspire booklust in kiddos and adults alike.

At some point after Bel Aire Bowl left the planet, Copperfield's took over a portion of the vacancy. It has evolved into a wonderful store. It has a cafe, books, periodicals, journals and the like, all the important stuff for a book store to have. It also has an abundance of charm and a very warm atmosphere.

I would rank Copperfield's up there with Codys and Staceys, just on a smaller scale.

Positioned at the rear of Bel Aire Plaza, you will be duly rewarded if you battle the bottleneck into the shopping center and get yourself to this place.  This independent bookstore is chalked full of titles for all ages and fun friendly employees who make it their mission to connect books and readers.  Let me tell you, you do not need a caffeine fix to settle down with a good tome like the big chains would have you believe.  You simply need a casual friendly spot where you can catch up with your friends and meet up with employees who make you want to come back again and again.  Support independent bookstores, shop at Copperfields!

Like a Barnes and Nobles/Borders mixed with the lovin of a mom and pop bookstore.

they have everything you need, including cat-asshole stickers.  everybody needs those sometimes.

Copperfield's Books rocks. the helpful staff knows where books are and if they don't have it they will get it for you asap! they have lots of funky goodies that my wife sits and ponders over which pretty papers to buy.  they have great books and games for kids and lots of tables full of books that are clearly marked and ready for fiction, non, and sale shoppers. they play great music and have seating all over the store hidden around corners so you can plop down and check stuff out before you buy it. they keep books in store that are not your regular barnes and noble (everyone has picked  it up a thousand times and it wasn't that great of a read). the owner tries to keep books that are off the beaten path in store. in my opinion good place to go and buy any kind of book!

Local Bay Area=automatically quality. You can't get a Barnes and Noble here, too small a town although this place has the feel of it.

Downside is that their book selection tends to be seasonal and up to date rather than seeing some old classics you never picked up but now can. Also hard to get ahold of some more obscure titles like Maddox's Alphabet of Manliness.

It's the only real bookstore in Napa so it get's 3 stars.  It's just ok.  It's clean, closes early, the selection is limited and it's even pricey-er than Barnes and Noble.  It's ok,   I love bookstores and go them all the time but I just don't like the ambiance.  It's uncomfortable and cold by temperature and feel.  I have to make myself go to this bookstore.

It is not a mega bookstore, well it is the only book store in Napa.  It is small and probably family owned.  I give it 5 stars for the simple fact that they do not have a starbucks in there bookstore!  They dont have allot of books, but the selection keeps me happy!
