interesting place. part wine bar, part sports bar. A surprisingly good selection of artisan cheeses as well. decent wine list. Barn like ambiance. We played trivia there one night which was fun. A fun palce with a lot of college age locals.

Cool Neighborhood spot, close to home and they have the regular spots bar setup.
The wings are blah, the pizza is really better then you would expect it to be. They have some pizza rolls that are very tasty and run specials almost every night. There are a couple pool tables and video games etc. Variety of TV through out running the latest sports programs.
This is really the best sports bar in GVR. Once again its the only sports bar in GVR! Nothing special here every now and then on Friday and Saturday night it draws a decent little crowd mainly residents of GVR but thats cool to me.
The waitresses are nice enough and will tell you if a certain dish on the menu are any good. Overall its a cool close spot to hit on a Friday or Saturday night to get a drink or after work etc.
Specials during football season when games are on!Listed in: My Hood!

So Coopers is now Rookies Sports Bar (or something or other). Silly me - I assumed Coopers lost their liquor license or was shut down by the health dept. Well I have not been there since they changed to Rookies but compared to Coopers I have high hopes - we shall see!
I wonder if they're keeping the digital jukebox. When else are you going to hear Tupac and Metallica back to back? -

I've been here a few times but never during a game. I stopped in here with really low expectations and I'm happy to say it surpassed them a bit. It's usually been pretty dead when I've been here but most likely a popular place when there's something to watch on the big screens. Service is attentive and friendly. The beer selection isn't great (ok Bud *and* Bud Light on tap) but hey it's GVR. Had the chicken wings and they were all right. Anyway, I agree with Douglas R and can't add much more.
