A tip for those that might find themselves in the DFW airport for a time.  They recently opened up Terminal D at the airport, and along with that put in some really great restaurants.  Cool River is from the same folks with the large restaurant in Irving.  They brought in a limited menu for the airport, but the food is far above in quality to the usual airport fare.

They have steaks, sandwiches, salads and many special dishes.  Nice atmosphere for sure.  They have an inside and outside seating area.  My companion and I sat on the outside which really is an outdoor (but indoor cafe type seating).  Nice to watch the travelers go by as you have a nice meal.  

I have eaten there now three times, and every meal was really good.  I had the southwestern salad, the Cool River burger and a fish special.  Along with all this, is a great wine list with good ones from California and Australia. Beer selection is excellent also.  

Service is always top notch, and fast.

So, if you long for a really great restaurant in an airport, check out the Cool River in terminal D.  You can take the Sky Train to get there from any other terminal.
