To be honest, I wasn't really expecting much from this place. I am a fan of Outback and I didn't think this restaurant could compare. Well, I was surprised! I have to say, my prime rib was cooked PERFECTLY and my husband's steak was so juicy!
We have been back a few times, and have never been disappointed. The servers are attentive and even when the place is packed, they will refill your drinks promptly. (Love the Mason Jars!)
The decor is fun and whimsical and has just enough cheese to it. I am always too full to have dessert but all the entress I have tried were delicious!
They don't accept reservations but they do have "Call Ahead Seating". I've never really had to wait more than 15 mins unless it's a holiday.
Highly recommend this place, love that it's local to me. Yummy! I am going there tonight! :)
Ok, note this is sorta a chain place. I love little hole in the walls with great food that no one knows about. However...
The food is really good and the service is still 5 star. We eat here often with my parent, one of the few places we agree on.
I highly suggest the rib eye steak. OMG - cooked to perfection and generous. I was SHOCKED, I don't normally order steaks out, since they are usually horrible.
I must say I was not impressed with the jalapeno poppers, they are a little much for me. I am glad this place is great, the owner is really nice and it is nice to see it doing good in these hard times!

Our close friend highly recommended this place. We thought we'd give it a try. We sat in the saloon… Read more »
This is by far the best steakhouse chain there is. I always get the ribeye and it is always full of flavor and so juicy. The soup is great. Salad is good. Love the crispy mushrooms. I love love this place. I feel like I should step out of the box and order a prime rib or something sometime.
Went here to celebrate with some family members. The restaurant is a little hard to find because it is tucked in the corner of the shopping center. Also, if you are coming down Sunrise from the Roseville area, it is difficult to enter the shopping center because you will have to drive up Sunrise and make a u-turn at a light to be able to access the parking lot.
The food was pretty good. However, my dad received green beans cooked in a terriyaki sauce with his meal and they tasted like fish. He hates fish so this was awful for him. I love fish but when I tried those green beans the fish-like taste was so overwhelming that I had to spit out all of the green beans and bite a roll so that I would not vomit. They replaced his green beans happily but the poor man still had horrible memories of the green beans prior so he could not get the guts to eat them all. My boyfriend had a full rack of ribs and the mashed potatoes. He loved the ribs and had to take half of them home. He reheated the ribs and mashed potatoes later that evening and said they were just as amazing as at the restaurant. Two thumbs up for the dry rub and light addition of BBQ sauce as garnish because he is a rib guy so his approval on restaurant ribs is far and few between.
We had all of the appetizers and a large array of their menu on this visit. Everything was pretty good but the census was that the steak fajita nachos were AMAZING (I don't know though because they were all eaten before I showed up!).
The drinks were pretty good. Could have been stronger but no complaints. We tried the 92 caliber because of the awesome raves about it here on Yelp. It would be a fabulous drink if rum is your thing.
The server did a great job for being the only server working the whole saloon. I had to wait quite a bit for her to come back but I sympathize because she had 10 tables to herself.
The bartender kept trying to change the TV channels and I wasn't too happy about this since it was a Sunday and the Niners were playing. He told me that the game was on the TV behind me so he would appreciate it if I would turn around to watch the game. I told him no because all of the TVs on the other side of the saloon were on the Chargers game so if someone wanted to watch that then they could move. I was with a larger party so that was not an option for me. He finally obliged, but this was kind of a shot to the heart for me.
The patrons at the bar and on the sofas in the front of the saloon were HAMMERED. They had their shoes off and were laying on the sofas trying to nurse their drunken stuppors. They were pretty loud and obnoxious but I wrote them off as regulars. I would not recommend eating in the saloon if you are faint at heart, sensitive to cursing, or have children with you. This would definitely make for an uncomfortable and unpleasant lunch/dinner hour.
Overall, it was a fun restaurant with a good theme. The restaurant seemed understaffed on the saloon side but no one was in a real rush so it didn't seem to be too big of an issue. Come for a few drinks and appetizers during happy hour because they have great specials.
Love:
-friendly service
-jars for cups
-the saloon doors (very fun to burst through!)
-the menus with matching saloon doors
-the pretty chandeliers
-good bread
-fudge cake!!!!

I enjoyed the overall experience at this place. As my girl and I walked in, we were greeted by a cute little girl. Not your typical high school cheerleader grinning from ear to ear, like you find at the other chains. She must have been around 10. It was nice that this chain seemed to be a privately owned personal eatery. It was cool
I have the New York Strip with Scampi combo. Meet was cooked perfectly and tasted good as well. The scampi came to the table floating in butter and chives. Good Good Good stuff ( real good for a chain ).
My girl ordered the Chicken Salad. I didn't try it, but her review is in here as well.
The kicker of the night was the drinks. I ordered the .92 Caliber Punch and Carlie ordered the Cactus - tini. Both were very good. The punch should be illegal for a single drinker. I was tanked. We stayed to order dessert, which was the Cinnamon Toast Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream. Very good as well.
Overall, I would go back. The only part I was not happy with was the amount of times I had to ask for more water. But, the service was very attentive, just not on water refills.
My husband and I went over yesterday to commiserate over some bad news. Sat at the bar in the saloon. The bartender, Nicole, is very friendly and gave great service. Actually, all the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
The beers are large and decently priced. Happy hour(s) are 4-6 and after 8PM IIRC. $1 off the large beer. We both had Shock Top from the tap, good beer.
My dinner was the Steak and Shrimp combo for $20. My husband got a Ribeye steak. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to order and were delicious. My husband got a salad with his dinner and it was very nicely done for a side-salad. I had the baked potato soup instead, which was wonderful. I could have had that alone for dinner. My side was Fancy Green Beans- teriyaki sauce and bacon, quite tasty. He had loaded mashed red potatoes. Also great.
Overall the food was wonderful and tasty, the atmosphere was fun with catchy country music in the background (and I'm not a country fan) and the staff was excellent.
I highly recommend trying this place.
Love this place! Good food, nice people and fun atmosphere. That's all you need for a good time! Bacon on everything.... yum! At with a friend and i thought i was going to be another boring meal in norCal but i was wrong. The food and drinks were all so delish and i coulda spent another 2 hours there just nibbling on food and chitchatting it was so comfortable. Wish i lived closer. Definitely making a stop the next time I'm in the area... or we'll do a short detour... for good food sake!
On an improptu trip to Orangevale, my boyfriend and I stopped here to grab some dinner. At first glance, the restaurant reminds me somewhat of Texa's Roadhouse crossed with Black Angus. At second glance, it still reminded me of a cross between Texa's Roadhouse and Black Angus. Eh........
The food was O.K - I had a Salad, which I guess is probably a bad dish to judge a restaurant on, because they are generally the same. My boyfriend ordered a steak/shrimp dish - he seemed to really like it.
I had the Catus-tini, which was pretty good; but WHOA! Watch out for the 92. Caliber Rum Drinks. We shared this one, and both had to drink loads of water before we could leave the restaurant. This will knock your socks off! Among other things.....
We ordered some Bread pudding for dessert which was pretty yummy, considering I'm more of a chocolate fan.
I wouldn't go back, except maybe for desserts and drinks - and if you order the Caliber, bring a desi. Trust me on this one.
This place was great and right down the street from me too! We went there later in the evening to have appetizers and a drink, so we went right to the saloon/bar area. Cute place, just like a Texas Roadhouse. The food was really really good and for a reasonable price as well. The had a whole happy hour bar menu and drink specials too. To bad it was a weekend, lol. They were also very accomindating with the special requests on our combo app because I am on a special diet for some health issues. The drinks were great too. I love that there weren't chintcy on the strength of them. I hate it when you go to chain restaurants and they jipp you on the drinks, but this place didn't which will make me want to return. I am looking forward in a few months to go again, but this time maybe for dinner.
I'm a little confused why this place is getting so many 5 star ratings by yelpers. Don't get me wrong - its a good place for what it is. Great prices and pretty good food - but nowhere near a 5 star joint. This place is owned by the same company as Perko's. And there is a bit of that same feeling to it. We live very close and have been there 3 times for dinner. The first time was a disappointment. My steak was RAW and I ordered it medium. They had to try two more times before it was even close to medium. The next two visits were pleasant and the food was cooked well. Everything is acceptable - but not much is great. But they do give you a ton of food for a good price if that is what you want. Service has always been friendly and fast. The happy hour specials in the bar are good (and nice HD televisions with NFL ticket). Try the Potato Skins - best I've had. The calamari on the other hand was horrible. Overall - an okay place for a casual, reasonably priced meal - but I'd much prefer Outback for the same general vibe.
