if you like cooking up a storm, you'll surely enjoy cook's junction. it's a mini version of sur la table, and a lot less overwhelming.
everything in the store is well organized onto shelves and counters, and the staff are extremely friendly. you're bound to find whatcha lookin' for....
i really adore their super mini saucer pans, heart-shaped cupcake molds, and salt n peppa serving set. they also have a citrusy lotion that smells purty nice.
when my old set of pots and pans retire, i would love their 10 piece stainless steel set with the "see-through" covers. stainless steel hurts A LITTLE bit more when i wanna whack someone across the head with a pot. it's not a new concept, but i've always thought it's brilliant (i'm talking about the see-through covers). i love the idea of seeing what you're cooking while it's cookin'. my food will be less likely to be undercooked or overcooked because i play too much PEEK-A-BOO :)
chefs from all walks of life would appreciate what's in store.....
ps.
and it's COOK'S junction, NOT cock's junction (as my eyes initially did play tricks on me). vision has been corrected.

This store is amazing - for being right in the middle of Los Altos! Kitchen gadgets GALORE! It's sort of like Sur La Table only scaled down appropriately for a more "quaint" downtown such as Los Altos's.
Mom and I found ourselves unable to escape (we were in a hurry too) for at least half an hour. There were just so many things to see! Looking for a gadget to do some very specific, slightly bizarre kitchen activity? Cook's Junction might very likely have it!
Everything from cookbooks.....
to fancy wine bottle openers
to high end cookware
to baking materials
to spatulas
to shellfish crackers
to dutch ovens
to glassware
to aprons and potholders
to mixers
to high quality knives
to measuring spoons and cups
I could go on and on....
Top it off with an exceptionally helpful and energetic staff member... he was super friendly and quick to help find or identify any item we asked about. I don't know whether he owned the store or just worked there but his enthusiasm was almost contagious!
I can't wait to need something in my kitchen and have to come here to look for it. For a cook - getting lost in a store like this is not only quite simple, it's completely fun too!
