Wow talk about fun. Came here on a weeknight for a cooking class. This was perfect. Nice easy environment, sat there and watched the chef cook as he explained all kinds of things in the cooking process. This was not a hands on class. The food was first class. I had salmon, flat iron steak, chicken and pork. Also there many side dishes and an absolutely amazing ginger Ice cream for dessert.

A great eye opener and a great dining experience. This was a lot of fun. There were about 10 people, some young some old some single some couples. Nice group. The chef was visiting Colorado and his name was Hugh. Super guy and great chef! I think the type of class varies as do the chefs. I think our theme was easy dinners to wow your friends. Lots of solid advice on how to cook wonderful food while maintaining your role as a friend and a host to your dinner guests.

alright, i need to write an update...
i went to another 180 dining event and i left disappointed. fewer wines than the first time and the food was just mediocre. when i first said it was the deal of the century, i almost thought it was too good to be true... i should've known it was.
based on my last 180 dining experience, i won't go to another one. I'll spent my $60 elsewhere on something that will leave me mesmerized and full.

Cook Street is a terribly run business, and I would recommend you stay far, far away and spend your money elsewhere. I am losing out on gift card money because they keep awful records....someone else was apparently assigned my card number and that money was used to pay for their classes. I, apparently, am SOL. The misassigned card number is only the latest in a string of mistakes that have been made with my account. I cannot stress enough how shoddy their record-keeping seems to be. I have never had trouble like this with a business before, it's unbelievable. Stay away!

It's pretty fun spending a few hours talking about, playing with and enjoying food with a bunch of other people who are also food enthusiasts.  I recommend taking classes here if you are interested in expanding your horizons and experiencing a different kind of night out OR if you need a gift idea (certificates!).The instructor was really groovy and edgy - this class was not lame/home ec style at all.

I took a knife skills class a short while back and it was really so much more than that. Of course I learned the fundamentals of proper knife care, chopping, cutting and de-boning a whole chicken, but also learned a lot of food facts and tips (ex. humans can't process tomato skins, seeds tend to make food bitter) and enjoyed a really delicious meal. However, did not learn how to carve meats - apparently that's part of Knife Skills 2.

Most of all, I enjoyed the relaxed carefree attitude of the class - nothing had to be perfect just needs to taste good :) I'm taking Saveur Italian Cooking soon - it includes a free years subscription to Saveur magazine...the only magazine that I actually read front to back - woot!

My best friend moved to Denver. So naturally, visiting her is a must. I ventured out from my home in San Francisco to the Rockies where I was constantly short of breath and dehydrated. But loved every moment of it.

My last visit was 2 weeks ago where I had the honor of dining at Cook Street's "Taste 5". Five course meal (similar to tapas style) with a wine paired for each taste. Prime rib, pumpkin spiced shrimp, fried turkey with cranberry chutney, duck with spring greens, and melt in your mouth truffles that went away at the blink of an eye.

Definitely a great experience, would definitely take classes if I was a resident.

What a cool place!  Our Christmas party was held here and the food was fantastic (students did the cooking).  While I haven't had the experience of actually taking any of the classes, I have checked out their website and am impressed.

A nice little spot... check it out!

Wow. I am not the best of cooks. I cook few things well but I really enjoy cooking.   Well, needless to say, I have wanted to learn to cook for a long time. I enrolled in a class at cook street for easy entertaining. WOW - what a fun experience. The served wine while we watched a chef from Napa teach us how to serve up some easy dishes to entertain friends. I cannot wait to wow people with my new skill!

Its been 3 years since I've been here but thought it was worth a review. I can't speak to how they're doing today but my experience there was certainly positive. The staff was great an helpful, you don't have to clean up your mess (that's a +2 stars right there, I'll tell you what) and the food is great... Oh yeah, they serve you wine too.. mmmmm, booze. Its very clean, well done and educational. It is a little expensive but I feel that the value is certainly there - I just can't pop that money on a regular basis.

Would recommend. A great date or birthday present!

This school has a wonderful program for either home cooks or professionals.  I've taken a few classes there and haven't been disappointed, in fact I learned a LOT.  They use a traditional European approach and it's a little intimidating at first cooking in a professional kitchen but what I really like is that they measure everything out for you (saves so much time) and you don't have to clean up after wards.  It's a win-win situation (especially if you tend to blow things up in the kitchen)
