I spent years banging up my body doing various martial arts and other jackass type activities. At one point, I would spend 3 days a month bed ridden with back spasms - popping Advil and just trying to ignore the pain.
I decided to drop in unannounced to see Dr. Matt and Dr. Alex- and since then my life has changed forever. I'm back to doing the same stupid things I did when I was 19 years old, and I can rest assure that the team at Convoy Village Chiro is there to fix me! -

I paid $155 at the time of the visit and was promised reimbursement when my insurance paid.
9/24/11 (me) I've called at least three times about this. My appointment was 7/1/11. I have insurance coverage that covers chiropractic work. There is no indication that my insurance has been billed.
9/27/11 (convoy village chiropractic) I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you, and we will be reimbursing your credit card as soon as we get the reimbursement from your insurance company. Since everything is being billed electronically, it should be no longer than 2 weeks for everything to be processed.
10/16/11 (me) I still don't see any pending claims from you. It has been over two weeks. Could you look into this again?
10/21/11 (convoy village chiropractic) Just got off the phone with my outside billing department and found out what has been going on. I wanted to email and apologize for you not getting reimbursed ASAP. At this point its all been billed and taken care of but I wanted to drop you an email and let you know. Good lesson, sorry it was on your time.
11/6/11 (me) I saw that you billed my insurance for my 7/1/11 visit. There was a $355 charge pending and $0 was paid by my insurance. That's a phenomenal achievement since I've been seeing a chiropractor here in Seattle for several months with a $15 copay and no billing issues. My insurance covers chiropractic visits. Billing is not an issue with other doctors. I'm going to go ahead post some negative reviews on the web and call it good. You don't have to follow up anymore. I don't appreciate you wasting my time and money. -

I had a very unfortunate experience with a practitioner here that I would classify as unprofessional and disturbing.
In general, I found the practice to be sort of frenetic & crowded. There is almost always a wait. Expect to be required to be seen daily your first two weeks. Expect to have Xrays done, Expect to pay $55 per visit at least, expect to sit in a crowded waiting room or outside for your visits.
Pros:
They offer complimentary tea, water and fruit
Katrina the front desk person is very professional & nice.
Parking is not a problem, generally
Dr. Peyton is kind and considerate.
The bathroom is nice and clean
Cons:
Kids: Kids play area = noise
Dogs: I was there on a few occasions where someone's dog was running around through the office
Wait Time: Plan to spend a full 30 minutes between your wait and adjustment (at least), depending on time of day and wait
Waiting area: very crowded and close quartered
Open adjustment rooms. Anyone walking by can see & hear.
With as many clients as he has coming through this practice you can start to feel "processed" vs. "cared for".
If you are at all challenged with this type of service and you need to be relaxed before your treatment, you might want to consider a practice that has a more peaceful setting in the waiting area. This would not be the place for you. -

Let me start by address the current email the Chiropractic just wrote. It's obvious that this situation is still bothering him more then me since he is still addressing the problem from long ago. He has never tried to contact me directly. As for taking the patients "right fit" into play, the first visit obviously was a fit because I made a follow up appointment which his office set for me. I have never received my x-rays from this office and as previously stated he has never tried to contact me regarding my x-rays. Sure they do have the right to refuse service, but they DID NOT refuse service to me. It was only after this review was posted did he make any comments. He never even addressed the problem himself always leaving it to his front staff.
I have moved on from this issue, but I would NEVER recommend this office and trust me I do tell everyone my story about this place.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I would strongly recommend anyone seeking chiropractic care and considering Convoy Village Chiropractic to look elsewhere! The office is beautiful and the staff is very friendly however, their fee's are grossly inflated! My husband and I treated with Dr. Matt after an auto accident. We were quoted one fee and charged another. We have been requesting, bills, chart notes, explanations, etc...for MONTHS now..We are still waiting! In the meantime, we found a new chiropractor without all the bells & whistles, no waterfall, fish tank, etc..What you do receive is a doctor that cares about his patients, will come in after hours for emergency appointments, offers massage & muscle re-balancing..and offers his patients UNLIMITED CHIROPRACTIC CARE FOR ONLY $69/MONTH! He will see your entire family for only $89/month! Dr. Ken Gilden "Gilden Family Chiropractic" see's my family of 5 for only $89/month! His massage therapist Shauna is awesome! An hour long deep tissue massage is $49!!
Dr. Matt has been completely unprofessional in handling my billing concerns. He has stated that he kept detailed notes but has failed to respond to my numerous requests that he provide them to me! He over billed my insurance company and ignores my requests that he correct his billing. Now instead of focusing on my family, I have to prepare for a lawsuit! I will be taking Dr. Matt to court and I will be asking the judge for punitive damages. It is unconscionable that a person that holds himself out as someone who cares about people would act in such a way! Do yourself a favor and find another Chiropractor! -

I felt like a number here when I came here about a year ago. They usualyly double book patients. I usually had to wait about 30 minutes or more, but the adjustment/treatment with Dr. Hubbard (I don't know if he is qualified as a doctor as he is not a MD) was only like 3 minutes or so. My neck and shoulder pain did not improve at all. I would never recommend anyone here.

Dr. Matt and his staff bring a level of energy and vitality to their office that can do nothing but make you feel better when you visit. Definitely one of the best chiropractors I've been adjusted by. My health and energy is through the roof. I'm even married to a chiropractor and I visit this office.
