The wine is amazing. I especially adore their "Italian Job wine." It is by far one of the best wineries not only in Amador, or the Sierra Foothills, but in California. The proprietors: one was an employee at St. Helena's V. Sattui. The other, a pretty darn good cook. Do not leave Plymouth/Amador without visiting convergence!
Thank you Convergence! Super friendly and my first Amador County stop of the weekend. Great wines, tasty oh-so-tasty port! Very friendly and willing to give some great suggestions of other local tasting rooms to go to.
One of the winery gems in Amador Country. After wine tasting here, I have no need to go to Napa. They produce some wonderful reds; I purchased a $35 zinfandel port, and I'm usually a under $10 gal. Sure, Convergance was my fifth winery of the day, but it was delicious and I'm worth it! They also have a terrific raspberry zinfandel chocolate sauce. I think I'll pour myself a glass of that!
