Brian at Contra Costa Door was quick to diagnose and offer a quick and easy fix for our garage door opener problem - all on the phone! He saved us both the time and cost of a service visit.
After fixing the door this evening, I came to Yelp to see what others had thought - and I'm not surprised to see only 4s and 5s. When i need future work done on our door, I'll be calling Brian and his crew! -

This is a great place to have your garage door fixed or replaced. They are honest and do a great job. I was really happy with the new door they put in which is so quiet compared to our old one. The technician was able to diagnose over the phone and came once and replaced our system. Fantastic!

Guess what I got for Christmas this year? Broken Torsion spring! Shout out to Contra Costa Door. They were fast efficient and reasonably priced. Replaced the torsion springs, adjusted the tracks, lubed everything up, and gave some great advice to get the longest life out of the door we have. Highly recommend these folks if you're in the market for new garage door or just need repair work done.

Roger at Contra Costa Door was great to talk to about my garage door opener issue. He was quick to diagnose the problem and gave me a few options. Roger was very kind and answered all my questions. I was equally pleased with my installer, Kent! My appointment window was 1-3 pm, but he showed up 15 minutes early, which was refreshing. I didn't feel like my entire day was wasted waiting for someone to show up. Kent was very efficient; he installed my new garage door opener in less than the hour promised. I am very pleased with the reasonable prices and friendly service. I would definitely recommend Contra Costa Door to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about this company. The door is great. Everyone was friendly and professional. Their service was amazing.
The true test of a company, though, is how they handle an "issue" (which happens to every company, no matter how good, from time-to-time). We had a problem as a result of the installation, that, although their responsibility, really could not have been easily prevented (one of the installation bolts hit a wire hidden in drywall and shorted one of the house circuits). As soon as we all figured out what had happened they took care of it. There were no excuses, and no attempts to avoid the issue. I can only say that if you want honest, dependable people who care about their customers, and will "make it right" if there is a problem, you can't do better than Contra Costa Door. -

These guys are fantastic. Knowledgeable, accessible, and helpful. Originally I went for a replacement garage door opener and they sold me one, and also walked me through the process of programming it--and invited me to call for additional help if I needed it.
They were so nice at their showroom that I scheduled a garage door tune up since my lifting garage door had been sticking in cool weather. They showed up when they said they would, gave me a good estimate, and made follow ups easily. They were great to work with, from the showroom people to the service guys who came to my home. They were well priced, too, and guarantee their work for a year.
I never felt swindled or pressured or anything other than that I was getting a good value. I highly, highly recommend these guys--you'll get fantastic service. -

WOW !
A quick call into this company based on the previous Yelp reviews shows why they are getting so many stars.
The man asked me a couple of questions about what the problem was, told me he thought it was a broken spring, asked me to verify that with a visual peek at it and then indicated that it would cost xx amount to fix.
he scheduled a service appt for later that day and the technicia, Jeff showed up on time, fixed the problem, greased and tightened some other things and has my garage door working better than it has in years.
Great job! and I would def recommend this company to my clients in the future as well. -

I've called upon Contra Costa Door a number of times over the years.
I can't speak knowledgably about everyone there, but Jeremy the technician has given me top notch service. He obviously knows what he's doing. He's fast and efficient, but not so rushed that you feel like he's doing an incomplete job. He didn't mind being watched and didn't mind answering questions. Most importantly for me, I didn't have the slightest inkling that he was trying to sell me anything I didn't need.
As for office staff, I just got off the phone with Roger. He was more than happy to help me solve a minor problem right over the phone. I do the same in my own profession. I *really* appreciate it when others do it for me.
Contra Costa Door has my loyalty. -

Contra Costa Door replaced two old pivoting doors in my duplex with two modern roll-up doors. They were quick to respond and send someone out for a free estimate. He spent a long time determining what would be required and explaining the challenges and compromises needed because of the lack of clearance in my garages.
They provided various reasonably priced estimates (not cheap, but much better than I expected) with different door options and got the doors special ordered quickly from the factory. The installers showed up on time and did an excellent job with the difficult installation and the doors look and work great.
I'm very pleased with my experience with Contra Costa Door from start to finish. I doubt some of the other door companies could have handled the difficult nature of this installation so cleanly. -

This company and its employees understand customer service.
I am on the board of a condo HOA. Surprisingly, most of the companies we contact or hire for service seem to work begrudgingly, don't follow up, and genuinely don't seem to care whether they work or not, or whether they satisfy their customers or not.
Not so Contra Costa Door. From the first service technician I met several years ago while repairing a door, to different members at the office, everyone goes out of their way to satisfy their customers.
Without sharing details of our condo association, we have some very challenging situations. CCDoor has gone way above and beyond in helping us with every aspect of the service. Scheduling, arrival, estimates, actual work itself, and follow up --- everything happens in a manner that exceeds our expectations.
I wish all service contractors could be like this. -

This is one of those local companies that can't be complimented enough. We used them in 1999 for a garage door, again in 2007 for a Lift Master garage door opener, and again in April 2011 to replace our garage door with a nice one with windows. This is not a deep discount outfit, and we appreciate their focus on being the best and pricing their products and services reasonably. How they do business shows in everything. Not only was the installation perfect, but the installer used our shop-vac that happened to be in the garage and vacuumed the floor so it was cleaner when he left than when he arrived!

I needed a new garage monitor so I opened the yellow pages and see Contra Costa Door and some other business. But I called Contra Costa Door first. And the guy who answered the phone was really friendly and offered for somebody to come right away. Within a half of an hour they came to my house. They told me what needed to be done. There was several options. And the price is reasonable. I have my new garage monitor. It's so quiet. The service is excellent. Most of all my kids love it. It's absolutely fantastic!

We moved into our house about 5 years ago and it was a new construction. I saw the CC Door sticker on the motor and figured they installed them, so I gave them a call to service them...they squeaked so loud, I swear I thought I'd wake the neighbors if I was coming home late. All they really do is squirt silicon spray on the joints/hinges, and WD40 on the rollers. I could do that myself and save the $129, but to be honest, I was glad I called them to do it; at least the first time. The tech (Jeremy) was nice and full of suggestions and tips to keep the doors running well. I have no complaints and would recommend them if you need any work done on your garage doors.

The guys at Contra Costa Door are great. Our garage door, installed probably more than 7 years ago, started having problems. A guy came over today, instantly saw the problem (broken spring), and fixed it. He was in and out in 20 minutes, while being friendly, and taking extra care to re-oil and grease the track and all hinges. They definitely stand behind their products.

I was very happy with the excellent job Contra Costa Door did installing my garage door. Everyone treated me as a valued customer and were very professional. Both my neighbors have Contra Costa Doors and also told me they had the same experience. Everyone I came in contact with from Contra Costa Door, including the gentleman who greeted and directed me when I entered their store; the gentleman who gave me an estimate; the gentleman who came out to take measurements; and the very professional gentleman who installed the door (who I understand is the grandson of the owner/founder of CC Door) The man who came out to take measurements (Allen) even stayed to make some repairs to my broken door so it would at least manually open enough to make it possible for me to store my boat in the garage last night so it wouldn't have to stay on the street. He didn't have to do this and there was no charge. He did it because he was concerned about the safety of leaving my boat out overnight, which I keep in the garage. I really appreciated the extra mile he offered to go for me. This is why Contra Costa Door has been in business so long....they really value their customers. They care.
