This is by far one of my favorite magazines. I read this baby front to back every month. They do not do any advertising.  This will not allow any advertisers to influence their ratings.

In the years they have been rating things there are very few things that I have not seen rated.  From breakfast cereals, computers, cell phones, restaurant chains, etc... the pretty much study everything so us as the consumers can make educated buying decisions.  I don't base my decisions 100% on their recommendations but I do hold it in high regard.

I really like the back page.  They take products that have funny/erroneous/ridiculous advertising claims and call them out on it.  It is always a good laugh.

FANTASTIC!

From your next hybrid car to what batteries to put into your CD player (dude, get into the digital age) to where you should grow your money to what peanut butter to buy... this site has it all.

A while back I had gotten the mag subscription for my Dad but really the online membership is so much better!  You have access to years of reviews of anything and everything right at your fingertips.

If you are a consumer of things - ANYthing - you should definitely check this out.  The sturdiest, the best buy, the longest lasting and more will all be revealed to you.  And since they don't accept donations and instead buy all their stuff you can trust they have no ulterior motives.

A trusty oracle.
