6 reviews for Conrad Indianapolis
One of my favorite places to stay when in Indianapolis. If you are looking for quick and friendly service, the Conrad's staff has it down to a science. There's free wireless internet throughout the hotel. The hotel is near the Circle Centre Mall and the Arts Garden. The Conrad, in my book, certainly lives up to it's 5 star rating.
Rooms - well appointed if a little on the small side. A nice king size bed with plenty of pillows, a loveseat, 2 chairs, a desk and a dresser round out the furniture. There's also a 42" plasma HD tv on the wall and a DVD player in the dresser. In the bathroom there's a stand-up shower, full tub, sink and a 15" flat screen tv. The mini bar has coffee and tea available, as well as snacks and drinks.
Restaurants - I only ate breakfast at Vitesse, their casual restaurant. I had the continental breakfast each day I was there. I didn't eat at the Capital Grille.
I was lucky to stay at this hotel for a recent wedding. The decor is classy and the rooms are flawless. You get what you pay for! I would have rated it 5 stars but my luggage was lost and it took about 45 mins for them to find it. I had to wear jeans to my friend's rehearsal (I was a reader) which was a little embarrassing but no major catastrophe. The service was 5 star the rest of our stay and they did a great job steaming the bridesmaids dresses the day of the wedding. The food was the best I've ever had at a wedding and the way they served was a show in itself. Hands down the nicest hotel in Indiana.

The rooms are beautiful and usually available for around $200 per evening. I love the rooms. Everything else about the hotel blows, though. The arrival of the Conrad was highly anticipated in Indianapolis but this hotel receives F's in most categories. The following things suck about the Conrad:
Valet service
Bellhops
Front desk service
French restaurant
Lobby bar
Elevators
Interior hall decor
Other than the aforementioned the Conrad rocks.

This is probably the best hotel in downtown Indianapolis, and I've stayed at many of them. The room is fabulous, if a bit small. The bed was probably the most comfortable one I've slept on in recent memory. The bathrooms are huge and have both a sink and a shower. Twenty-four hour room service for when you need ice cream and coffee at 2:00 am. There's a great steak place, Capital Grille, on site, as well as another restaurant that I haven't tried. The rooms have mini-bars. The lobby bar is nice. We found the staff helpful during our few interactions with them. On our way out, we asked where we could buy a couple bottles of water, and they gave us bottled water for free.
i only stayed there for two nights and i can't evaluate the room service (didn't order any), the restaurant (didn't eat there), or the spa (didn't use it), but the room itself was very nice. gotta love the flat screen tv in the bathroom, that's the lap of luxury in my book. i would have liked slightly more extensive exercise facilities (there were 2 treadmills and 2 elliptical machines, so while it was pretty much empty and i didn't have a problem getting an elliptical, i would've been annoyed if that wasn't the case, and there were very few weight machines as well), but that's really my only complaint. also, i found the staff to be very friendly -- perhaps too much so -- but that's better than not friendly enough.
