Have I ever worked at Conjunctured? No. Do I secretly want to quit my job and become a freelancer just so I can rent space from Conjunctured? You betcha.

Everyone I've met through this place is just stellar. Thankfully, Shelly L works there, so I have an IN with the crowd. As far as the space goes, they give you all of the amenities of having your own office whenever you need it. And did I mention how great all of the people are? That's really who I'm reviewing right now. Because seriously, they're amazing. And they throw great community happy hours.

Love. These. Guys. First of all, everyone who works here is rad. Totally nice, totally with it and totally accommodating. The space is open, funky, dog friendly (call first) AND has a refrigerator for your bevvies of choice.

It's actually located inside an old house on 7th, next to Angies.  When you walk in, it's like discovering a cleaner, more technically equipped version of your own space... but like, without the dishes that probably should be washed and the laundry to be put away. It's comfortable, folks openly chat in the front room or work quietly in the back area.

The room I rented goes for $25 an hour and is big enough for about 6 people. They'll bring in the equipment you need from the other room and it's got a whiteboard for all your brainstorming needs. They reserved they room for me, let me bring in a couple bottles of wine and some hummus and let me power through an extra hour to get my project done. It's a cool concept and great spot. If you work from home, check these cats out.

I seriously feel sorry for people that go to coworking places in N. Austin or downtown.  That aren't right across the alley from Rio Rita and down the street from Me So Hungry.  Now let's not kid ourselves.  We know that young Austin consists entirely of hipsters, hipster attaches, or hipster haters that secretly wish they were skinny, fashionable, and chill.  As such, if you're an independent professional, trying to do business in Austin with other Austin folk...who do you think people are gonna prefer?  The dude/chick that goes to Halcyon?  Or the bro/gurl that has an office on the East Side?  Enough said.

But wait let's talk amenities: fridge and microwave so you can take lunch, dishes and forks to eat said lunch, snack foodstuffs, printing/faxing/scanning, assorted books (mostly about entrepreneurism and coding), great musics playlist, dry-erase boards

The defining feature of Conjunctured is its community. The founders have done an amazing job attracting talented, creative, and likable members.

Also, the facilities are quality, the beverages are ample and delicious, and the location is convenient. I can't imagine a better working/social environment. I highly recommend checking out Conjunctured.

I've been to a few different coworking spaces around the country - anything from a bunch of hackers with their heads buried in code, to places that house multiple multi-million dollar businesses. I've found that they each have their own style and personality.

When I came to Austin, I knew I wanted to check out Conjunctured, as it was the main coworking space around town.  I had coincidentally been to a GTD meetup several months prior that was hosted in their building, so when I got there it wasn't wholly unfamiliar.

The first thing you'll notice about Conjunctured is that it's an open space, designed for creativity.  This isn't a stale office building, this is a home that has been converted to a creative workspace.

The second thing you'll notice about Conjunctured is that people are there to get work done - work that they all genuinely care about.  You don't have that incessant sighing or reluctance to work that you often find in an office space.  People here are serious about their work.

They're also serious about helping *and* letting other people help.  This reciprocity is key, as I've seen some communities where some people either only know how to help or be helped.  When I was there this past week, not only was I able to get some help with some things, but I was able to help others out as well.  With such a wide range of knowledge and experience at Conjunctured, I was able to have a couple of conversations that brought me to finalize a business decision I had been waffling on for nine months.

Finally, and this isn't something I can vouch for quite yet, but everyone there seemed to be very involved in "the community" aspect of independent working lifestyles.  I got the distinct impression that working with Conjunctured actually means something in the community and can open certain kinds of doors and opportunities.

For me and my kind of work, I won't be purchasing a full monthly membership.  I'm simply on the phone too much during the week, where it makes more sense to have a private office.  But, I will definitely be taking advantage of their single-day passes whenever I can in order to be around some great people working on really cool things.

There's just something about that kind of environment that further enables a certain kind of work to be done.  And that, to me, is so much more valuable that hacking away at my work in an empty home office.

    I am not technical.

As I was researching coffee houses where I could paint, I found some articles about "jellies".  That led me to Conjunctured.  On the first day there, I began a blog about painting from life.  I had wanted to start a blog for over two years.

At first, I wanted to keep this place a secret.  Then, I realized that the folks at Conjunctured can handle and adapt to growth.  This is going to be a very good thing.

I head to Conjunctured when I need time away from the home office. The gents who run this place are always kind, and the raw energy of everyone working on brand new (and sometimes old) ideas is simply amazing.

Coffee included, the occasional fruits, someone usually brings donuts, the WIFI works great and the music is usually the same stuff found in my iTunes.

I can't wait for my next Conjunctured day.

If you haven't found Conjunctured yet for your morning or afternoon (or even evening!) coffee - a place to catch up with your in-box, and to enjoy water-cooler camaraderie, it's a good place to drop into and test out.

And...you can do it without the background hubbub most of the coffee shops now also serve! Coffee for members right now is free.

I've referred one member this month myself and now just tonight a new group to consider Conjunctured as a regular, evening meeting spot for their "visual thinker" members and presenters. It is one of the FEW places in town that graphically displayed notes can be comfortably displayed on the wall for view as a meeting progresses.

Why the heck would you go anywhere else?

I moved from Iowa six months ago and searched for a co-working space before I got to Austin. Lucky for me, the Conjunctured peeps were nice enough to let me check it out for a few days.

It's in an older house - a great place to work while surrounded by people in lots of different specialties. I'm a freelance writer, so it's cool to be around creative people to bounce ideas off of. It has a comfortable workspace, conference room, amazing coffee and even a "quiet" room (in case you really need private space to get work done.)

Hands down, best coworking space around.

I've been working from Conjunctured for nearly 1 1/2 years now.  The people have been outstanding, the facilities very well kept, and the camaraderie wonderful.  In a year or so though, I could definitely see room for expansion.

Oh - and it helps that Conjunctured is across from Rio Rita. =D

I've only been to conjunctured once-- during their open house. The layout is very nice and the people were fantastic.  If I could quit my "day job" in the office, I'd love to work in this type of environment. Ideas flowing, people talking about what they're doing and asking for & giving advice when asked.

It's cool that they have snacks available (fresh fruit?!)

when I grow up, I want to work at Conjunctured!

I joined Conjunctured last week after trying it as a day member a few times. I enjoy it much more than working out of a coffeeshop. The difference is the community. At conjunctured, everyone gets to know one another. Everyone is there to work. It's very productive. I'm not just an anonymous bandwidth-leaching customer. I feel a part of something.

I've known the Conjunctured guys for several months now, and waited eagerly for them to open shop here on the East Side. The space is wonderful, the company congenial, the coffee is free, the wifi is robust -- it's a dream come true for anyone who works as a freelancer or contractor like myself. Sign up for full time, part time, a few days a month, or pay as you go. You will not regret it!

It's fantastic to be able to call a place like Conjunctured "the office".  In fact, the idea of going to the office on the weekend no longer sends shivers down my spine.  The owners have set up a really comfortable work environment (complete with a kick-ass coffee setup) and have managed to build a wonderful community of creative, interesting people.

If you work from home, I highly recommend you take advantage of Conjunctured's free day to find out just how much better it is than rolling out of bed and trying to get things done in your pajamas.  I bet you'll find, like i did, that it significantly cuts down on your "open fridge, look inside, realize there's nothing new, close fridge" visits and your "just fifteen more minutes" naps.  Don't be alarmed, though, there are fridges and couches here for you to use however you see fit.

Great environment... we get a lot done at Conjunctured.  The guys here are great & helpful when/if there is a problem.  It's a great replacement for an actual office if you are early stage or if you are contracting.  I highly recommend it, just don't tell too many people about it ;-)

Not much more I can add to what has already been said. Conjunctured offers a great coworking location! If you work remote or on your own this is a great alternative to working from home or at a coffee house. There are always people to bounce ideas off of and the lay out is productive yet comfortable, warm and inviting. Whether you are going there to work and get away from your home office home or looking for a great place to telecommute while surrounded by really nice and smart people they have what you need.
