Great customer service! I called Jon after reading the reviews and everything was exactly true. He came to my home to fix my blown LCD screen after initally odering the part with some basic info over the phone to diagnose the situation. Anyway, shortly after starting I smell smoke and ask if that's coming from my computer.....yes, in fact it was. HP sent an adapter as a solution to sending the wrong LCD which fried the screen. (again). I asked Jon what's next, what's his advice. He says if it were him he'd get a new laptop. I'm missing a few keys, the screen will cost $160-200 to fix, I can get a new one for $400. He guides me with a few online retailers as well as local. And he left without charging me, saying I didn't get anything out of his service!!!! Wow. Nice.
A day later I decide to get a big 'ol flat screen monitor instead since my laptop still works, just not the screen. And I get one. And it's awesome. And then, I can't get it to work because I've got a black screen to work with trying to change my settings so the new monitor will register. F!!!! Ah! HA! I call Jon again. Leave a messge begging for his consultation time, I'll pay...I just HAVE to get on my computer. Within an hour he's called back, talked me through an FN key and when I get home to try again it works! I can now read my emails from across the room and have 4 open windows going with out needing a magnifying glass.
Jon is amazing. Give him a call. -

I went back to Jon when my laptop fan crapped out. He had it ordered and replaced quickly and for much cheaper than I was quoted anywhere else. Plus he came to my work to pick it up and drop it off for no extra charge. That's service! I'll be a loyal customer for a long time.

I sent an email through the website and got a response almost immediately. Jon exchanged a couple of emails with me and told me how to try to fix my laptop issue. When it didn't work, he let me know I'd have to reinstall Windows--I didn't even have to pay anything. What great service!

I called Jon today in the afternoon about a virus that had affected my computer, and he had my computer up in running in about an hour after the initial call! That is the best service I could ask for. He came to my place to look at it, which was great that I didn't have to take it anywhere. Jon had it repaired and back to new in under 30 minutes. Actually, he left my laptop in better shape than I have seen it in a while by boosting the speed and getting rid of excess programs, and downloading a great security software for me.
I would absolutely recommend Jon Hoskins to anybody needing computer repair, and I know I'll be calling him for future issues. -

This was the easiest, fastest, cheapest, most trustworthy and most polite computer repair technician we've ever dealt with. He came the day after I called him - to be fair, I don't think I called until after mid-day. He came on time, did his work, brought all the parts he thought he might need to bring, and even cleaned up afterward. He brought us a router that I believe was an open-box sale from Fry's, which is what we would have purchased anyway to save a couple of buxx. It's been working properly since 1/20.
I highly, highly recommend Computer Repair of Austin. -

John was actually the third place I called when I had begun shopping around for computer repair. His prices were cheaper and he could come out the same day I called him. The other places were more exspensive and all said it would take up to three business days to repair. No thanks..
John showed up on time, was professional, and courteous. He charged me the price he quoted me over the phone and was in and out within an hour. He got rid of the virus and also cleaned up my hard drive.
Highly reccomend John for any of your computer woes. Thank you John and thank you Yelp for pointing me in his direction. -

Disclaimer: I'm friends with Jon and his wife, but to be fair, my boyfriend found him on Yelp and called without knowing who he was. When he showed up bright and early at our door, it was a nice surprise!
It was also nice to have our computer repaired with a new hard drive within a day. Jon quickly diagnosed the problem and helped us solve it. He's super polite, and his rates are very reasonable. Highly recommended! -

I picked Jon based on previous Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. I called him on Friday and he was at my place on Monday fixing my computer in under forty minutes. He was so professional and didn't mind explaining things to me that I had questions about--which were quite a few. I would definitely recommend him and use his services again!
I had a virus which he extracted/repaired. He also suggested and installed new software protection. It was great and so convenient.
P.s. he also accepts checks and credit cards which I thought was pretty awesome since it's just him who runs the company and visits each site personally. -

Called Computer Repair Austin after Googling and comparing a few other business's. The business's where you drop off your computer could have taken up to a week, and was quite pricier. I took a chance on Computer Repair Austin and was very happy. The malware/spyware that was causing our laptop problems was removed in an hour, which was the approximate amount of time I was quoted on the phone :)
I would highly recommend Jon and his company to anyone in need of a quick and painless fix. The house call service is very convenient! Just schedule an appointment and Jon's professional service will accommodate you. -

My dad's HP laptop was diagnosed by HP service representatives as a failing CPU/Motherboard issue. I wanted a second opinion before I coughed up the repair fee and Jon was kind enough to suggest that it may be better just to buy a new laptop instead. He responded to my e-mail in under half-hour and I plan to call him up for future computer-related issues.

I called Jonathan because I read his great reviews on Yelp and, as always, they were on the money. He came out the next day, got my printer talking to my laptop wirelessly again in 15 minutes. Heremoved a bunch of crap that was slowing down my browser. He patiently answered all my non-geek questions, too. I didn't even know there was a discount for mentioning Yelp and he reminded me! Very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recc. this company and Jonathan Hoskins, the owner, is a stand up guy. He doesn't overcharge you either. That's kewl.

I found Computer Repair of Austin on Google and sent an email asking for a quote to replace my LCD screen on my laptop. Jon got right back to me within hours and let me know his pricing. No hidden fees or extra charges, just a straight forward answer. He ordered it and as soon as the screen came in he called me and came out to my house that evening.
He replaced the screen and could not have been nicer or more professional. If I have any issues with my laptop going forward I know Computer Repair of Austin will be who I call upon. Jon was great! He cleaned my laptop in under an hour after the 3 yr old I nanny for spilled a smoothie in it. He came to my apartment which was convenient and I felt very confident in his work. Would recommend him to everyone with computer problems!

We called Jon after reading the 5 star reviews on Yelp. Jon came to the house and got to work on our two laptops. He did an amazing job cleaning up all the problems without losing any of the important data.
Jon provides exceptional service at very reasonable prices. Best of all, Jon follows up with a phone call to make sure everything is working well.

Jon rocks. He worked around my schudule (I was running late) showed up, fixed what was wrong, tweaked something else I hadn't told him about when I made the appointment, and charged me half of what I was afraid I would end up paying, He is efficient, honest and knows what he is doing. Now, if only he could fix everything wrong at my house!

I found Computer Repair of Austin via Yelp. I have to say that all the 5 star reviews are true.
John was great - he came to our house when he said he would and immediately got to the problem. It's always reassuring watching someone who knows exactly what they're doing when it comes to your personal computer. To top it all off, he's incredibly reasonable in rates!
His card now has a permanent place on my desk. -

I called Computer Repair of Austin when my computer was suddenly inundated with viruses and worms from an email I opened. My computer is the lifeblood of my company, and I couldn't afford to lose the data saved on it. Jon was in my office first thing the next morning, and in under an hour he had the viruses purged and my system up and running beautifully. He was professional, and very affordable. And though I hope to never have to use him again, I'd happily call him back for any future problems. I certainly recommend him to others for their computer repair problems.

I called Computer Repair of Austin to fix my daughters laptop, which had a malicious virus that basically made using it impossible. Jonathan called me back within 30 minutes after leaving a message and was able to come to my home the following day to work on it. He was knowledgeable, efficient and had it up and working within a relatively short amount of time. His price was very reasonable and the added bonus was that he came to my house. I highly recommend his services.
