I was nervous when I took my dog in to see a Veterinary Ophthalmologist; not only was I afraid of the diagnosis but also of the expense of the visit. The information I got from Dr. Silverman was worth the money I spent on the visit, in a very thoughtful and methodical fashion we discussed a series of treatment options to make my Sweet Ol'Ladybones dog more comfortable.

Her glaucoma has advanced to the point that sadly, the best option is to remove her left eye. It is a hard choice for an owner to make but Dr. Silverman made me feel better about it, after determining for sure that her eye will cause her pain.

I'm glad that there is a center like this in the Valley, as my old vet was referring me to places in West LA and Camarillo. Overall, I was very pleased with Dr. Silverman, however, I'm holding back that last star because the Vet Techs he has working there were not as gentle with Ladybones as I would be. She actually slipped and fell in the waiting room as they lead her out to me, and no one but me noticed. In all fairness, she is on medications that make her prone to falls and, since I know that, I let her walk VERY slowly when she's in strange places. I just wish they would have picked up on her physical limitations.
