I'll be posting my review at the other link. Thanks!
did my cousin in his thick long island accent really say, "this is the best pizza eva."
i find that hard to believe. actually it was an extremely lackluster experience. sure the decor was chelsea chic and sure the water was served quickly and the waiters were sweet... but that's about it.
$17 for a personal size plain (more like bland) margarita pizza? wait really? how is that the cheapest option? and what is with this "charred crust" sitch? how is burnt pizza considered anything other than just bad?
and the communal table thing. not so much. i don't mind bumping elbows with besties or the mommy but random homeboy-- not so much.
such a big.... expensive mistake.
$50 pizza !
heard great things about CO .. then i spent $50 per person there, and was annoyed .. yes, we had a bottle of wine, but that would still be $35 a head .. to expensive in my opinion for what it was .. OVER RATED ! .. in recessionary times, i expect value for my dollar .. and more cheese !!
PRO: Good pies, fresh sauce, good service, good beer selection
CON: Weird location, not as thin crust as we like our Neapolitan-style pies

Hmmm. I am uncharacteristically speechless. Company Pizza is...'good'. That's it. Like I said up there in the PROs section. 'Good'. Well dammit I want my pizza experiences to be f'ing awesome do you hear me?! We have only so many pizzas left to eat in our lives! Not to be morbid, but we will all take a dirt nap at some point so our remaining meals, once you put it in that respect, are precious.
OK though, there's really nothing to knock that hard about this place. It's nice. Y'know how someone asks you about the friend you want to hook them up with: "So what's she like?", and you're all "She's real nice. Pleasant personality (i.e. big butt)". Kinda like that.
So we ordered up a Margherita pie. DUH! And no, we do not get tired of Margherita Pizzas, bitch! I heard that tone. Shut up! So we got the pie. Wanna hear about it? Here it goes:
Well, the crust...it was a bit doughy. Like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. I asked the guy behind the bar, he said 'Neapolitan style' so expected a more thinner (I know. Grammar.) crust. So, since when is anything not Sicilian-style deemed 'Neapolitan'?! It's not thin enough!! That said, the crust was well cooked, smoky and blistered just right with a decent crunch to it and overall flavor was fresh. It was just too doughy. Something they could change pretty easily if they wanted to. Are you listening, Co? Pound it out people. Actually, Toss it out. Tosser.
The sauce? Multo buon! Ha. Fresh, flavorful with just the right amount of oregano and salt. But still sweet from the quality San Marzanos. And the cheese? Well it's Bufala Mozzy, and was creamy, tender with a very subtle tanginess...everything a Mozzy should be. And the all-important basil? Nice leaves (yes, not chopped up, coulda-been-from-a-spice-jar basil), but fresh, aromatic basil. Good job. There coulda been a little more , but it was fresh and really helps make a margy pie a margy pie.

Without hesitation the pizza at Company was the best I've ever tasted period Neapolitan style or otherwise. T
he Margherita is perfect, sweet delicious fresh tomato sauce, creamy buffalo mozzarella and a bubbly charred flavorful crust. Each taste just explodes on your tongue and they were perfectly balanced.
Their Stracciatella pie was even better than the Margherita. I didn't think anything so good was possible. This pizza is similar to the margherita with globs of burrata cheese (instead mozzarella) offering up an almost sweet and creamy like whipped cream flavor. Ridiculously good. This incredible pizza is topped off with fresh Arugala leaves.
While I'm not crazy about the bench seating or the somewhat indifferent service the pizza at this place is the best I've had.
Bottom line: the best Neapolitan style pizza you can get west of Naples.
