At first, I thought it was hilarious that Commerce City was even considered worthy of review. I mean...when I think of Commerce City, I think of that nasty natural-gas oil smell and getting the hell through it via I-70 to the airport.

But on second thought, Commerce City has an interesting appeal, well at least in the sort of heavy industrial distopia way....

Thanks to Suncore and extremely cheap housing and real estate, Commerce City has become a sort of Mecca of industry meets meth users meets grey hound gambling megalopolis.

But before I continue, there truly is something beautiful about seeing an artificial red sunset with the ever-burning flame in the background of Suncore's oil refinery, or about seeing the night illuminated with the green and yellow lights of poisonous progress.

A photographers and sci-fi writers dream, this carcinogen is to you Commerce City.

if you are in colorado this is the last place you want to be.

commerce city has aspects of hell, including a burning smell that makes you want to vomit.

the people above forgot to mention that nearby all of this industry crap is a gargantuan dog food factory that makes everything smell like pure ass for a 5 mile radius.

The only reason I can think of to come and visit Commerce City is if you are a student photographer looking for something to supersede it all or  if you are methed out and looking for a picturesque setting for a meth...user.     Especially during the nighttime is when the industrial  wonderland palace comes to life.  Spectacular views of pipes, light, chain link fence, security patrol, smokestacks and sounds of humming abound.  I once filmed the aberration for about 15 minutes before being apprehended and for about 2 of those minutes I filme, a strangely "burning" flame raging on in the night with telephoto out of focus and all the kidz say, "what?"  It's a great image, thank you Commerce City.
