I subscribe to comics elsewhere, but this has got to be one of the best comic shops.
They have multiple issues of new releases, so if you miss out cause you didn't subscribe, try passing be here to see if they have a few left on the shelf.

Nice comic shop - stopped by to visit since I have not been by in a long time.
Pros
- Lots of new books
- Reasonable inventory
- Good Sales - $5 tpbs
- Statues & busts
- Mall parking
- You can have a slice of Pizza or Thai food when you are done
Cons
- could not find some of the stuff I was looking for, but i'm sure they would put on a list for me.
Return Visit
- Yes
I am upping this place by a star because they have yet to let me down. I was backed up again in my Transformers comics and needed to get a bunch of back issues that were sold out in the closer stores and these guys really pulled through. I also bought the Joss Whedon Firefly book, "Those left behind" here for a good price and they have a lot of other Whedonesque books here too.
They were also were tuned into 89.7 KFJC on the radio and that was a big plus in my book.

since diving into older books as of late makes me appreciate even more how impressive they are at maintaining a continuous inventory of superior back issues. i can honestly say that they hold it down better than anyone in the bay area on silver age and beyond.
yeah you heard me right, even better than comic relief.
not hating but, ryan and his crew are on a different level than all other shops besides maybe isotope on what they deliver for the fanboys in the norcal. where james is all connnected and has the sick soirees, ryan has the substance of quality books (at ridiculous low prices- equal or better than R&K)
here is my dork guide to shops in the bay:
funnest staff: amazing fantasy
runner up- comics outpost
best dungeon/attic feel: heroes
runner up- al's comics
dorkville: illusive comics
runner up- comic relief and cards&comics central (TIE!)
cool design&layout: isotope
runner up- comic relief
best overall: comics conspiracy
runner up- cards & comics central

Comics Conspiracy has the lucky privilege of being the closest comic shop to my place of employment. That's not the only reason I like them though. This shop has probably the best selection of Trades and Graphic Novels of any shop in the area.
If you're looking for toys (which I don't tend to be) you might have better luck elsewhere, but for comics, it's a great shop.
This is probably my favorite comic shop. Very nice staff, awesomely organized and stocked. I've always found whatever I'm looking for here.
AWESOME selection of graphic novels/collections.
very good DC figure selection. Excellent sale on certain DC toys. this is a smaller store than Illusive or Lee's, but it is well organized and clean. They obviously carry less graphic novels and comics than other stores, but what they do have is quite good. There is one wall dedicated to graphic novels, and the rest of the store is full of comics. The store is pretty much one big room, with comics on the wall and in the middle.
Sales staff was friendly and welcoming. I would come here again.
True Confession: I actually *own* a popular SF Bay Area comic store myself. But even so, I consider Comics Conspiracy "my LCS" because every few months on my days off from my shop I go to this store and load up on all the fantastic comics from yesteryear my personal funnybook collection has been hungering for.
And I really, really like the changes I've seen around this shop in the past few years! They've managed to make the store feel even more uncluttered and stylish while expanding with a very impressive (and ever-growing) selection of graphic novels and trade paperbacks. It's slick, it's sexy, but Comics Conspiracy never forgets it's all about the funnybooks, and I really like that.
If the fact that the owner of a "rival" comic store is giving this place top marks isn't enough to convince you how wonderful this shop is, let me give you an example of my most recent shopping experience there...
I was there just this last weekend buying up beautiful runs of crusty old comics I wish I'd read as a punk kid and know aren't likely to ever be re-printed (JUSTICE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL, MICRONAUTS, POWER MAN & IRON FIST, ROM, Alan Grant-era BATMAN, and a truly awesome HUMAN FLY run). In the middle of my back issue feeding frenzy moment, I thought of a couple out-of-print items I'd been looking high-and-low for.
"Maybe you can help me," I said to the affable Ryan Higgins, "I sold my personal copy of ANNIHILATION vol 3 hardcover to one of my customers thinking I wouldn't have a problem getting another..."
Higgins walked to the shelf and pulled a copy off, "You said volume three, right?" he asked with a smile and I about cheered for joy.
I knew the next one was a real long-shot, because the book has been out of print for many years. But I have a good friend who I think would really enjoy the series, so I crossed my fingers and asked "Um... you wouldn't happen to have the rest of this set of Peter Milligan's ENIGMA comics, would you? I have a friend I'd love to get it for."
Mister Higgins didn't bat an eye, "I think I have a full set right here..." he replied. And sure enough, he did! That time I *did* cheer for joy and gave him a big enthusiastic hug. Yes!
I can't express how much great comics and unadulterated joy Mister Higgins and his wonderful staff have brought me over the years. Thanks for everything, Comics Conspiracy, you guys rock!

Great selection, helpful, friendly staff. If they don't have it in stock, they'll gladly order it for you. Seriously awesome to the max.

This is, hands-down, the best comic store in the valley.
What can I say about Comics Conspiracy!?
Once Upon a Time, I had collected comic books from like 7th grade into High School (back in the 80's), only to stop my Sophomore year when the "party years" began and all of my money went to booze, my car and sometimes drugs instead of comics... I then sold off my collection while in college (Late 80's to early 90's) to help pay for rent, booze and maybe a little food in there somewhere too.
Skip ahead to 1998.
I was at the Berryessa Flea Market and I came across a Tomb Raider comic book and loving the game series, I picked it up to see if it was interesting. Little did I know that the addiction would begin anew much more rapaciously than before though. I loved the book and I began to seek out comic book stores to find the rest of the Tomb Raider comic series.
In my searches, I began to organize and map out all of the South Bay comic book stores that I had visited and had yet to visit. During this hunt for more Tomb Raider comics, I saw some old friends on the New Release wall and I began to thumb through these as well. now I was becoming interested in more than the Tomb Raider comics alone... The true addiction took hold and off i went, collecting all of my old titles and a bunch of new ones as well in addition to Tomb Raider.
I had settled on one store that I liked close by to my house over near Meridian and Hamilton, but he closed his doors about a year after I had found him. I searched around and I discovered another comic book store near a college where I began to frequent them for a couple years, until I had moved further away from them and the owner at the time was not giving me all of the signed or rare covers that I had been ordering.
Enter Comics Conspiracy...
I worked near Comics Conspiracy and I began to frequent them and set up a savers account and the rest is history! I have been ULTIMATELY happiest with them over all and they have always treated me right. All except for one time when I was supposed to get the Martian Manhunter JL statue and the owner at the time said that they had never gotten it in and that he did not know that i wanted it.
Yeah, Yeah, I know, holding grudges are bad, but that statue is worth a lot now and I have the entire statue collection (that I bought from them as they came out) EXCEPT for the Martian Manhunter.
I cannot say enough about how awesome they are here at Comics Conspiracy! I do not know everyone that works there, but Sam and Ryan are the two guys that I have the most contact with and they are frigging SWEET customer service guys!
If you are looking to jump ship from your current comic book store because of poor customer service or any other reason, look no further!!! This store is the one that you want! They have tons of TPB's, new comics, recent back issues and old back issues. The store is CLEAN and your fingers don't get all dirty and grimy from perusing the back issue boxes.
They are also listed on this site: http://www.the-master-...
Definitely swing by the store to see what they have to offer!
They have a decent selection of single issues, a ton of graphic novels/hard backs and a pretty good independent section. The staff is very friendly. The whole store is really well organized which makes browsing/shopping a LOT easier!! Not to mention, they have some AMAZING sales!! (ex: boxes and boxes of used paperback's for $5)

Best comic store in the bay area. When I was buying comics this was the only store I would ever go to. Friendly and helpful staff! Best selection hands down!
Comics Conspiracy is a good local comic store. They have a great selection and a helpful staff. I've found old issues for which I'd been searching during those few times I've actually been collecting.
comics conspiracy is a great store i find myself asking why more stores can't look more like this one!!!! back issues, tpb.,indy books and the decore is great !! the freindly staff i.e. ryan, sam and others are amazing!!!
ryan is the king of all things d.c. while sam and the ex owner are the kings of indy!!! all employees are so helpful !!!! the best part if they don't have it they will find it!!!! i always find something different in the bins not like some stores that never restock or just blow out stock . there is gold in them thar bins !!!!!
