Comfort Suites was recommended by a friend who lives around the area. The girlfriends and I decided to take a mini weekend getaway and ended up booking 2 rooms- they even accomodated my request by placing both rooms next to each other!

Rates here average about 80-100 bucks a night depending on what kind of room you get. Their standard room comes with 2 full sized beds, queen comes with 2 queens, king with one king bed and king suite which comes with one king + 1 sofa bed. Both of our rooms totaled to about $300.00 which really isnt bad for 3 nights each (a friend gave me a promo code which was an awesome deal!)

The rooms were in excellent condition. The bathroom did smell somewhat funky in the beginning (somewhat musty) but a spray of perfume did the trick. The rooms were clean and the staff here are very nice. There's a huge parking lot out front so no worries on having to pay additional or look for parking.

Note* no pets and no smoking allowed // location is central to many restaurants (mainly asian)

This place is so close to a 4 star, and a 5 star isn't far away, but I could only give it 3 (even though I wish I can give it a 3 1/2 star--comon Yelp, we need half stars!!).

The GOOD:
Great room rate of $80 in a centrally located, very decent area in the San Gabriel Valley. Nice lay out and a fairly spacious room.
Comfortable beds with nice bedding, nice water pressure, and good TV picture(but more on TV below).

The BAD:
Horrible internet connection. Wired or wireless, it totally sucked. It stalls forever, videos don't play and sites when they do come up, are missing graphics/info. Total garbage. Lousy cable TV channels. Maybe 20 stations, half of them crap. No NBC, MSNBC, and for you conservatives out there, no  FoxNews. Wassup with that? And the volume gets super loud or real soft on certain stations. Finally a hotel with a decent size TV (27"maybe) , a sharp picture that's not blury, but not a whole lot of channels.
Poor lighting all throughout including the bathroom. Like living in a cave.
Soap in shower melts like butter in your hands. We had to go to Target and buy a bar of soap that lasted more than one shower. Smallish, rough cheaper bath towels which is par for the course in 95% of hotels. Noise from other rooms above average--voices, footsteps and TV's other than our own were heard throughout the night.

The UGLY:
No real ugly here, but having crappy Internet  kind of sucked..

If management. would read this and take care of a few things, this place would be awesome. I did mention to the desk about the poor Internet and lack of cable channels but they didn't seem to interested.

My fellow yelper buddy, Nick M., surprised me with a booked room here when I didn't have a place to crash at for a night. We ended up staying up all night playing on their internet LOL (wired btw. See Nick M.'s review for details)

Everything is so new and clean! Not to mention the room is surprisingly bigger than what you would have expected. Their bathrooms too!

You certainly feel like you've hit the jackpot and got way more than your money's worth by staying here. Did I mention FREE breakfast?! Can't beat actual food you can eat located at their self serve continental breakfast room. They have a waffle maker and a breakfast sandwich much like the egg mcmuffin at mickey d's. Yummies!

Forget the overpriced Hilton down the street. Stay here instead! :D

I have to say, this is a last minute great find. Cheap and the place is new and clean so it is always good. The staff are very friendly and the bonus... FREE BREAKFAST!

The only downside is that they don't have wireless internet yet so if you want free internet, you have to let them know and they will provide you an internet cable. (Only Wired Internet is available but internet is really quick). When I signed in, the staff girl let me pick which level I want to stay at so that's good to know. I will definitely come back to this place and I really think this will beat the SG Hilton anytime or any of the places around!

for a inn this place is really nice. only $100 a night w/ 2 queen beds. the rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. there was 2 desks so my friend and i can have our own make up table. there was a couch and coffee table, with fridge and bar. the bathroom was decent. also there is free parking and staff is friendly. however,  the free breakfast is super nasty. it's the worse eggs and hasbrowns i ever tasted, but you can make ur own waffels, which wasn't bad. i will def come back n stay here

We stayed here for our wedding nite and a couples day after that since the min. stay for the New Years/Rose Parade Weekend was 3 nites.

The room was really nice and had a modern decor. I didn't like the shower cuz I had a hard time pulling the knob for the shower head.

The free continental breakfast was a big plus. You get to make yourself some waffles which was pretty fun =o). Too bad the breakfast doesn't open that long cuz by the time I wake up, it's already closed =)

I stayed here during early March for 5 nights Friday through Wednesday for a long leisure weekend trip to LA.  The best thing about this place is the price, without a doubt.  I booked a normal (non-suite) King bed room for less than $80/night through the Comfort Suites website -- it was notably less than a host of comparable hotels in the vicinity.

The property is relatively new, and as such the furniture, carpets, electronics, etc. are all new-ish.  The room was actually quite large, and still included a microwave and small bar area.  Overall, the decor is quite nice for this brand and it was extremely appealing, especially considering the price paid.  The free breakfast was very good, though I wish it were open a bit longer (7-10am), but that really is a minor thing.

A few gripes included the free WI-FI in the guestroom; for some reason, the wireless connection refused to work in my room.  I attempted to locate the CAT-5 cable anywhere in the room, but to no avail, so I continued trying to get the WI-FI to work (it never did).  I went down to the front desk to ask if they had a cable available, and they did, but had to sign it out to my room (Note: ask for this as a precaution when checking-in going forward).  Even with the wired connection, the speed was unbelievably slow to the point where it would take 3 or more attempts to even get into my email accounts.  Its free, I understand, but I would like at least enough bandwidth to surf at a moderate pace.  Also, the ceilings between floors (we were on the 2nd floor) are as close to paper-thin as can be; the room above us was a constant source of noise from creaking to normal shoe tapping. Next time, I'll request a 3rd story room if at all possible.

Otherwise, the stay was fantastic, and the location is great compared to more expensive places (but probably not any better) in nearby areas.  Rosemead is fairly close to anywhere you might need to be (downtown, Pasadena, Orange county, Burbank, etc.).

This is a newly built facility.  (just opened in March) It's nice and clean with new furnitures and decors.

It offers a nice Continental Breakfast with make it yourself Belgian Waffles.  For $80 per night, it's a steal!
