Last weekend we decided to get away for a night and head down to Mohegan Sun.  Mohegan's cheapest room was $250 so we nixed that and looked around.  Comfort Suites was a great option!  Careful though, Tim looked them up in the morning and they were about $100 for a King room, but a few short hours later we ended up paying $135 (with a AAA discount).  There was no wiggle room either, I talked to the people at the hotel, and the Choice Hotels booking line.

We were totally happy with the place.  The room was good, definitely roomy with a loveseat and coffee table in addition to the King bed.  The bed was SO comfortable, especially considering this isn't one of the fancier chains that advertise some special bed.  The room was clean, and the bathroom was fairly spacious.  The shampoo they gave you wouldn't soap up my hair, but the multiple options on the shower head were nice.

There's a pool/sauna/whirlpool and a small workout room with an elliptical, treadmill, and bike.  They have about 3 arcade games and a washer & dryer ($2 each) as well!  The pool (indoor) was heated but not bath-water like, which was nice.  The whirlpool was good, but only had 3 jets.  The sauna was a nice treat, though one of the boards on one of the benches was on it's last legs.

We chose this hotel because it seemed nice and had good reviews on TripAdvisor.   They also provide a courtesy shuttle to the casino every hour from 3 p.m. till 1 a.m. and then a return shuttle at 20 past the hour (last one at 1:20).  This was nice, and when you ride the shuttle you get a $10 voucher for betting and a $10 voucher good at any food or retail shops -- but you can also use it for a FREE buffet, which we did.  Two $18 buffets free of charge, thank you very much.

Next morning, the hotel had a great complimentary continental breakfast with eggs, bacon, muffins, english muffins, 3 types of cold cereal, 3 types of coffee, tea, make-your-own Belgian waffles, and fruit salad.  YUM.

Would definitely recommend this spot for a night at the casino!  (As long as you don't mind coming back early.)

My Trixie and I stayed here for a trip to Mohegan Sun to see the legendary Eddie Money. I read some reviews on other sites and it was panned soundly. The 2 reviews here were solid and I'd like to add to that.

I paid $134 and got exactly what I expected:
-A clean room with clean sheets
  -A hot shower
  -Moderately friendly staff
  -No foul odors

If I have any complaints it would be that the "sports bar" was supposed to open at 3 and they didnt open up until 4:45, it was loud after 2am (but to be expected naturally) and no suitable coffee cups in the room. The last bit was odd since they had a coffee maker in the room. No matter...we'll stay here again.

I stayed there on Thanksgiving weekend for a Mohegan Sun poker trip.  The bed was more comfortable than the one I have at home, and they gave me a room for $100, although the list price was something like $200.  The room had two beds and a sofa bed, although it was just me.

One thing that I really liked about this place is that the room had a refrigerator and microwave in it.  (I didn't use the frig this time, so I didn't actually test the tempertature.)  Having gotten stranded on many ski trips without a microwave for late-night dinner, I really appreciate it when a hotel provides one.
