Nestled between the gas station and Applebees, and the huge expanse of parking lot situated out front of the Super Walmart, sits one of the two hotels in town.
It's comfortable, I'll give it that. Good water pressure in the showers. A cool rod called The Arc or something that gives you extra hair washing room and makes it so the creepy hotel shower curtain doesn't cling to you. Rooms were clean and didn't smell funny. Everything was clean actually. The desk clerks were friendly, even at midnight on a Thursday.
There may be a shortage of non-down pillows for any of my allergy riddled brethren, as when we asked for a couple we got one right away, and another about five minutes later that smelled so strongly of orange scented cleanser it couldn't be slept on. I have a feeling it may have been squirreled away in a storage/cleaning supply closet for a while.
And free breakfast of course, if you're up and ready to go before nine, which I'm not. There is only so much to do in Waverly - you really don't need to get an early start on the day. Besides, if you miss the free continental breakfast you have a great excuse to go to Martin's!!Listed in: Hotel Life
